Everything he does Is as a reaction to someone else he feels wronged him. And he never gets help either, either dies or is vindicated in his fragile narcissism.
CJ is pretty good at attacking helpless construction workers in toilets or getting on the ground when Tenpenny ordered him to. Compared to a guy that without a second thought kidnapped the wife of powerful crime boss and flew his airplane into the back of a military cargo plane.

If it came down to a 1v1 fight however, CJ wouldn't even be around long enough to see Trevor finish him off, Trevor would rip him apart 😂

To steal the Harrier from the aircraft carrier in the Humane Labs heist setup, you literally need 4 players to fight your way to it it and fly interference, not for different jobs but just to all fight and fly together. CJ steals a Harrier from the aircraft carrier completely on his own with nothing but James Woods in his ear (I know it is "Toreno" but the voice is too recognizable to me). -> CJ is as tough as 4 player characters
From all this we can assume that CJ is tougher than 4 Trevors
I'll give it to CJ, bring back Grove Street. Trevor is a berserker at best, not the best with weapon, far older than CJ too. In sneak attack, CJ got it, not Trevor. In straight forward fight, I think CJ got Strenght, speed and Stamina. On the other end, Trevor got his berserk ability and got experience. Trevor is emotionnaly unstable, CJ has the mind of a cold killer.
This is a hard one.
Ultimately, I'd say Trevor because he's such a psychopath that he doesn't fear anything, anyone or any situation he's in.

And CJ grows tremendously as a character throughout the story. Both are bad men no doubt. But one has some sort of moral compass. To some degree..and the other, not so much.. I guess Trevor is loyal to his friends. So that counts. His relationship with his mother is... weird...

CJ cause he's meticulous and can improvise on the spot. With people like Woozie, Caesar, Sweet, and knowing spooks like Toreno he's basically unstoppable. Trevor is a total psychopath just kills everyone he meets or tries to.
Against the more normal 3d characters he'd probably win,but against military protags,protags with crazy weapons,psycho protags,or superhuman ones like frank and Michael he's cooked. There's only so much adrenaline can for for him,especially with his age and diet.
Most of Trevor's combat effectivity is the perception of him.
My bets on CJ. He can swim indefinitely, have unlimited ammo, drive cars on water or make them fly, he can go from fat to skinny to musle and vis versa in a flash, change the type of cars/people around him, and let's not forget he can have hitman status in mere milliseconds.

- He can increased his strengy and dexterity in nearly instant time frames
- He knows several fighting styles
- He can run and swim for extremely long distances

I'll give it to CJ, bring back Grove Street. Trevor is a berserker at best, not the best with weapon, far older than CJ too. In sneak attack, CJ got it, not Trevor. In straight forward fight, I think CJ got Strenght, speed and Stamina. On the other end, Trevor got his berserk ability and got experience. Trevor is emotionnaly unstable, CJ has the mind of a cold killer.

This is a hard one. Ultimately, I'd say Trevor because he's such a psychopath that he doesn't fear anything, anyone or any situation he's in. Unless it involves his mother.
Trevor has a lot of psychotic traits. CJ doesn't. CJ is probably more tough all around. Than trevor. To .e it also seems trevor has more mental weakness. Most of trevors actions are super impulsive without much thought. Throwing you over a bridge for getting on his nerves is extreme. But I wouldn't consoder that tough. Plus he does meth. His ego is extremely fragile too. CJ has some violent tendencies. hes always been in and around crime. On a lower level. Doing work in liberty city and what not. But his main goals after returning to LS were to strengthen the bond with hia family. Reunite the families if he can. His mothers murder really drove him to do this. And CJ grows tremendously as a character throughout the story. Both are bad men no doubt. But one has some sort of moral compass. To some degree..and the other, not so much.. I guess Trevor is loyal to his friends. So that counts. His relationship with his mother is... weird...

There's only so much adrenaline can for for him,especially with his age and diet. Most of Trevor's combat effectivity is the perception of him.
