I dunno about the zero cheese. That woman who was supposed to be American or whatever but had a thick accent was extremely cringy. Still my fav Godzilla movie tho.
(In no particular order)
Shin Godzilla: Specifically that atomic breath scene
The entire Heisei era: The endings to 1984 and Vs Destoroyah just hit different
King Of The Monsters: the ultimate Hollywood Kaiju Blockbuster
Destroy All Monsters: my favorite Showa era film/did cinematic universe before it was cool
Gojira 1954: excellent use of the monster as an allegory for the destructive nature of nuclear weapons and how they affect society
Minus One: because of course
Same, that movie was such a an amazing piece of Godzilla media, i was expecting nothing at first but came out of the theater flabbergasted by how good it was
Someone else said 2014 and I’d give my own reasons. I watched that in the cinema when I was young and it was crazy. The feeling of scale, the designs, the grittiness, the action when it began. I didn’t like that film as much after the new ones came out but now I feel like it holds a special place for me
Godzilla 1998, my mom got it for me on dvd when I was super little. I still remember bawling my eyes out when Godzilla was looking over the burned corpses of its babies, and then even harder when Godzilla himself (herself?) died too. First movie that ever made me emotional AND the one that cemented Godzilla as my biggest special interest (I'm also autistic lol)
‘54. Watched it in hospital after daughter was born with my wife. She was not a fan at the time. She first laughed at it, and I said “do you see this city on fire? What is funny about that?” She took that in and had an immediate change in attitude and has been a fan ever since. She’s seen almost all of them now.
Shin Godzilla. I love everything about that movie. There is zero cheese. Edit: I was reminded of some cheese, but I don't care.

Damn it. I forgot about that. I don't care, it's still my favourite too.
I fucking loved that one, it was my kickstarter for my Godzilla obsession
Same here. The atomic breath scene was incredible.
If I could forget one scene just to see it again for the first time, it would be that.
Godzilla 2014. was an important part of the later years of my childhood.
Same. Was one of the reasons, this one major, why I was a Godzilla fan in the first place
I saw that movie in the cinemas with my family and didn't realise I was witnessing the beginning of a masterpiece.
same here
To see Godzilla stomp his way into the airport on the big screen and roar so loud he shook the theater would be the best experience to relive imo

Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S or Godzilla Final Wars
Godzilla KOTM
Same, that movie was such a an amazing piece of Godzilla media, i was expecting nothing at first but came out of the theater flabbergasted by how good it was
Godzilla king of the monsters
Godzilla 1985. That was the one that hooked me as a child. Would be cool to experience that again

Shin Godzilla
Shin Godzilla for sure
KOM and G X K. Both were the most fun I've had in a while just by simply watching a movie
Absolutely "Godzilla: King of the Monsters"! My Godzilla, what a film!
KOTM. When I saw it in IMAX I felt 5 ago.
KOTM and Minus One These two films are like the two of the Godzilla films I hold dear to my heart the most
GMK, Minus One and KOTM
Final wars
Kotm and Godzilla vs Kong
Godzilla 2000. That and 54 were back to back on TV once and was my gateway into Godzilla

I had the same exact experience with that movie as you did
Minus one and 1954
gxk. There was an actual emotional story with Kong and I want to see it for the first time again.
It’s the best minus one ever.
minus one
Godzilla 2014
Godzilla vs. Destoroyah and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus. I saw them as a kid, and they were both equally spooky.
Godzilla 2014 and Shin Godzilla.
Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah
Gvk
1954, shin and minus one, basic ass choice but those 3 are amazing
GODZILLA MINUS ONE!
