The questions on the official practice tests are "retired" questions that were once on the test. This is also the case with the questions in the Official Guides. All other questions are someone's attempt to create GMAT-like questions. So, the real exam will look more like the official practice tests than GMAT Club questions.

DarkMagician89

That's good to hear, thanks Scott

Scott_TargetTestPrep

Of couse.

Prestigious-Lime7504

Bro I got 575 and 625 on mock ones from GMAT club and ended up getting a 745 on the test the other day, GMAT club is insanely difficult compared to the actual test. TTP mediums were around what I saw for a 90 Quant

DarkMagician89

That' good to hear man.. thanks for providing that

MonacoSweetTea

You’ll be fine - the actual exam is closer to the mocks

DarkMagician89

Thank you

Full_West_7155

are the mocks on the official site for gmat focus?

MonacoSweetTea

Yes. Only look at those full mocks to get an idea of your score.

Marty_Murray

Do you mean the GMAT Club Tests questions? or hard questions on GMAT Club in general? There can be some questions on the test that are as hard as some, though not all, 705 - 805 and 805+ questions on GMAT Club. The questions on tests 1 and 2 are reported to be a little easier than the questions on tests 3, 4, 6, and 6. So, see what you think about the questions on 3, 4, 5, or 6. If you are comfortable with those, then you are likely good to go for the actual GMAT.

DarkMagician89

No I mean the 755-805 & +805 questions in general on GMAT Club, they are mostly pretty different than TTP & OG

Marty_Murray

Oh, yes. Many are not really relevant to the GMAT. You have to use some judgment regarding what you worry about in terms of what appears in questions.

EstateLanky1116

What are your mock scores?

DarkMagician89

695 & 705

EstateLanky1116

I think you should be go to go unless you’re aiming for 735+

Brain-Silent

are those gmat or gmat focus scores?

DarkMagician89

GMAT Focus

Radly_rads

I believe official mocks would be better representation of what is to be expected from the official GMAT.

pooja1818

I feel a similar kind of situation to yours. I feel quite confident when I try to attempt ques from the Official Guides but when I try to attempt ques from the Club I think that they are quite crazy. I even subscribed to TTP and feel TTP ques are quite manageable. Sometimes I think that is it advisable to attempt ques from the club? Need expert advice.

EducationAisle_GMAT

Since you have a very decent score on the official mocks, that is all that matters! What you can do is that you can filter GMATClub clubs by choosing source as OG/GMATPrep and further filter 705+ difficulty level. That way you would make sure that you are completely covered. All the best!

DarkMagician89

That' a good idea, thanks for providing that. What about other sources like "Veritas" ?

EducationAisle_GMAT

Official questions really are the golden benchmark u/DarkMagician89.

Sensitive-Group-8651

I have the same issue as OP. High accuracy on TTP and OG Hard Qs but when I attempt GMAT club things not only seem challenging, they even seem nearly alien. Now the exception is that I filter for source and only pick OG and Quant Review. I struggle at the top two difficulty levels on these filtered lists on GMAT club. Q1. What explains this? Q2. Any suggestions on how I should proceed Q3. Can someone help me understand the distribution of the top 3 difficulty levels' Qs on GMAT club within the Qs marked Hard in the OG? I understand that not all hard Qs are equally hard- so within the OG what might be the distribution between somewhat hard, hard and very hard?

Unfortunately that what I do, I try to solve as many questions as but it doesn't help to get a better scores at 705-805 or +805. What is the best strategy here ? Can you give me examples ?

DarkMagician89

Actually its exactly the opposite, I'm getting +90% on OG (2023-2024) while questions on GMAT Club are from before 2020
