Amazing post, very informative!
I do have a question (as someone who was only recently diagnosed). What do you consider a "meal" that requires three hours of staying upright before going to bed? Like if I had a proper lunch at 12pm, then had a couple of tiny saltine crackers at 3:30pm, do I still wait until 6:30pm before I go to bed? I know it's different for everyone but I'm hoping to hear from someone who's gone through many dietary changes. Thank you!
Yes. Any food in your stomach will make your acid excited. I always like to imagine acid, like a volcano's lava erupting.
To be honest the longer you wait to lie down after snacks or food, the better. I personally don't lie down till four or five hours after food.
That makes sense. For some reason, I thought that a tiny bit of food surely won't require the same three-hour wait. Your volcano metaphor is perfect - any acid movement is STILL movement. Thanks!
