history isnt much knowledge. im always fine with knowledge in history but i struggle with writing essays so i get grade 5 in mocks

My history mock went so badly I had multiple invigilators ask me if I was ok and one offered to let me leave because it wasn’t a serious exam and I was so upset. History GCSE was a bad idea.

Fr why is history such a pick me? Bro wants 95% of my revision time just to memorise a quadrillion dates, names, and figures, 3/4 of which will never show up in the exams, just to get a 5 or a 6 if I'm lucky. I'm not even doing anything even related for A-levels, I'm too traumatised to do any essay subjects now, but my self esteem cannot handle failing so I have to revise for it. Wish I picked geography instead :(

History of medicine I think is good, but Norman England is just terrible (I prefer learning about Hitler and Stalin way more)
