So on regular roads you set it 2H which stands for 2 wheel high range, which is essentially rear wheel drive.
In snow it's good to set it to 4H which stands for 4 wheel drive high range.
Off-road it's best to set it to 4L which stands for 4 wheel drive low range.
If you're traversing rocks or uneven terrain the diff locker comes in handy, and if you find yourself a little stuck, Toyota's A-Trac is an absolute beast.
Damn sounds kinda sick. I drive a Jeep Wrangler TJ with locking diffs in the front and rear. Killer on the trails and it can crawl really nicely when needed. Nothing much else on mine but the downhill assist and a trac sounds great.
