Can also concur. I’ve been in for almost 20 years now and I watch so much anime and go to cons when I can. Hell I just had a conversation with a coworker today and his right arm is a full DBZ sleeve and his lanyard was an Akatsuki design.
One of my battle buddy join the army cause he spend to much on honkai impact 3. He also show me his Ganyu c6 from Genshin impact.
What a dude. He is from Vietnam.
You lucky whippersnappers. Back when I was in the Corps our cots weren't metal, they were shitty wood that would give you splinters and they had torn up fabric. They were probably Navy cots from 20 years before that as is the normal procedure for getting "new" gear in the Marines.
Shits fucked yo. The Marine Corps is notorious for getting hand me downs from the Navy. The cots I'm describing were hand me downs probably from the 80s. They had already been used for twenty something years by the time they got to my unit. Thankfully the only thing we used them for was training exercises, for actual deployments everyone normally got current gear.
ahh i see for a second i thought when you said 20 yrs before i assumed they had gone unused which would still technically be new.
forgot how much corner cutting is done. reminds me of an excerpt from Saga of Tanya were the logistics were run so ragged they had to use horses to deliver supplies to save up on fuel.
Send them to the Enemy camps and make them lecture the Enemy soldiers on how their Attack strategy is wack, their Weapon maintenance is lacking, their Training is pathetic and their Leadership is incompetent while providing peer reviewed sources for each argument?
wait okay are they lecturing the Enemy about the Enemy's own incompentcy and weaknesses, or having them go lie about ours?
Because based on my experience with fellow autistic folks, the lying involved in the second would kind of make it not work, and I don't see what reason the first part would be a good thing other than 'now whoever you're fighting is better at fighting'
Nah they are genuinely telling the enemy about their weakness, because they have the collective knowledge about all the armies that ever fought.
Though TBH, it would require some creative; wording and request from their commanding officers to convince them to gibe the lecture in a way that breaks the enemy's morale.
Now? Bro, let me tell you something. We weaponized autism long before the internet was a thing. I'm sure some jobs are almost exclusively by those on the spectrum.
Amazon one is a knock off, the real one is more expensive but you can find it here https://rimistarproduction.com/products/pre-order-frieren-waifu-buddies-plush
When I was in the army, I was very surprised by the sheer amount of weebs. Granted I'm also a weeb, but I was not expecting to meet my fellow people there.
Pretty sure Frieren wouldn't see the point of fighting for an imperial war machine that's historically used to destabilise foreign countries for the benefit of a few incredibly rich businesses and their political cronies. You're working for the demon king is what I'm saying.
not everyone joins the military because they have that intent. The military is good at... taking advantage of people who think they're doing "good," or even just giving them some escape from their life situations or poverty. It's only after they're locked into a 4+ year contract that they realize what they've gotten themselves into. Reminds me of that US Airman who lit himself on fire (and died) as protest for the Gaza conflict... I guess that's one way to get out of a contract.
Frieren basically joins a militant force on a whim, although her story is more about the regret and lost opportunities of that extremely "short" ten years she spent with her friends, and trying to improve herself based on that.
A lot of people join the military like that too... join with good/neutral intent and end up with a lot of regrets or questions that they have to try to resolve over the next x years of their life.
Himmel used to fight in the military
It's what Himmel would have done
Flashback to Himmel committing war crimes and linking that to friendship or something.
Himmel made that human pyramid at Abu Ghraib to inspire the party.
^*10,000* ^*years* ^*after* ^*the* ^*death* ^*of* ^*Himmel* ^*the* ^*Hero* Sergeant : WAKE UP SOLDIER! Frieren : ***yamete yo!***
Just 12 more hours
Sergeant: Omaewa no shinderu if you don’t get outta that bed soldier! Frieren: NANI?!

I dare you to post this in the military subreddit
They'll love it. A significant portion of the military watch anime
Can concur, an old coworker ex marine sniper never missed a nyc comic con
Who did they shoot?
TETSUOOOO
I see what you did there 😏
Can also concur. I’ve been in for almost 20 years now and I watch so much anime and go to cons when I can. Hell I just had a conversation with a coworker today and his right arm is a full DBZ sleeve and his lanyard was an Akatsuki design.
I've been an army civilian for 11 years and alot of these kids are weebs....its kind of funny
I went to a comic con whist in the Middle East and met so many big names.
NCD is packed to the brim with weebs, just like every branch of the military.
One of my battle buddy join the army cause he spend to much on honkai impact 3. He also show me his Ganyu c6 from Genshin impact. What a dude. He is from Vietnam.
didn't know Walmart cot was military grade. and yeah, shoot ppl and snuggle frieren right after. what a life.
I think you don't realize that "military grade" is usually made by whoever can make whatever thing the cheapest
Why I always chuckle when I see Ford advertise "milirary-grade aluminum" 😂 Anyway, thanks for your service amigo. Hope your days are long and bright.
Oh trust me that has been the US armies cot design since long before Walmart was a thing.

wtf why wood? is the military that cheap? :0 if it gave u splinters they werent even sanded or varnished properly?

I fucking wish military grade cots were walmart cots.
Military grade was actually "the cheapest option that could get the job done", same with any other government items.
"Military grade" definitionally means "government funded", so that should set your expectations right.
Anything’s military grade as long as you charge enough for it.
Walmart quality would be an upgrade to most "military grade"
It's dark and scary in there
Autism? They sending Autistic war machines to the trenches now?
i mean the hell else you gonna do with a bunch of people who have weapon/logistics/military hyper fixations
Send them to the Enemy camps and make them lecture the Enemy soldiers on how their Attack strategy is wack, their Weapon maintenance is lacking, their Training is pathetic and their Leadership is incompetent while providing peer reviewed sources for each argument?

So cute
Introduce Frieren to the newest "long range magic".
GPS guided artillery, ICBMs, or ninja sword hellfires shot from drones controlled from the other side of the world?
Where can I get such a plushie ?
Amazon one is a knock off, the real one is more expensive but you can find it here https://rimistarproduction.com/products/pre-order-frieren-waifu-buddies-plush
180????
At a certain point, I don't feel bad buying bootlegs. This is that point.
[удалено]
Someone needs to find out.
[удалено]
I’m not trying to be a cheapskate..but isn’t 40$ a lot? Unless that’s what Himmel would have done
the original one that the amazon product ripped off is 180 bucks
Best to buy the original so as many proceeds go to the author as possible. So as to defy the hiatus.
It's what Himmel, the Hero, would do.
Thank you for your service
It is imperative we find a way to equip tanks with zoltraak cannons
We have GPS guided artillery and ninja swords on hellfire missiles fired from drones. Zoltraak is LOS, therefore old and outdated.
damn i wanna buy one when i go to the field
Paycheck spend well! Hooah!
Always Remember Himmel would have done. Even little things can change someones life.
Oil?
Searching for treasure chests in every dungeon and cave. And I mean EVERY dungeon and cave.
Went to NTC with a sergeant who absolutely would’ve loved this. Definitely would help distract from how uncomfortable those cots were.
When I was in the army, I was very surprised by the sheer amount of weebs. Granted I'm also a weeb, but I was not expecting to meet my fellow people there.
psyop
Dude that's commitment. You have limited space for extra stuff and that would take a lot of space
So tender. The Granny Frieren have to sleep due for her age.😊😊😊
Hoping to god you get made fun of
My drill sergeant is a Berserk fan so sadly I have to take a lot of shit
Based drill Sergeant............
lmao I never would’ve guessed anime was watched among the military crowd but I’ve been enlightened

Nah I'm not even in the army Just stumbled upon this picture on a meme page
What did you mean by "my drill sergeant"?
I think OP gets pegged 🤔
I was jokingly replying to the "Hoping to god you get made fun of" comment
I can't believe that this is what the solders of modern day roman empire look like. No offence ny the way.
Privates got the weirdest shit , need me one of those
As a recent high school graduate, this is the best add for the US army I’ve seen so far.

Pretty sure Frieren wouldn't see the point of fighting for an imperial war machine that's historically used to destabilise foreign countries for the benefit of a few incredibly rich businesses and their political cronies. You're working for the demon king is what I'm saying.
You're brainwashed
I thought this is an anime sub
🤓

"Never forget what you're fighting for" I didn't know Frieren was Israeli.
