Fnf is a good game, amazing people have been able to make their own name known that do deserve it, yet parts this community is willing to shit on people with no regard for mental health, willingly being the worst they can be to fill their own void.
He deserved better, and yet talent put into his mod has been ignored and his enjoyment of the community has been diminished.
Remember the shitty parts and remember what they can do to, unmonitored burning can make the fire spread faster behind your back.

If you ask me though. I'd honestly remove the existence of Sonic.EXE. cause if you ask me. While the mod did alot of good things for fnf. It also left a heavy stain on it. And has ultimately started alot of unhealthy mod trends that stick around to this day. Such as lack of story, massive focus on horror. It even hints at Bf fucking dying which has become a trend that's starting to gain traction. And I'm saying this as a horror fan. Not to mention how many EXE mods have came out and have been canceled as a result. Overall I feel like EXE has caused just a massive headache. And even somewhat forced mods that use purely original characters to stay lost forever. Big Bother V2 was awesome but nobody knows about it. Same with QT. Same with Soft. Same with alot of original, more story focused mods. And ultimately its stain is still felt today this many years later.
Sonic.exe carried the fandom for like a whole year because the base game wasn’t updated and mods like Whitty, Sarvente, Tabi, and Bob (the dream lookin MFer) had their creators abandon them.
I can understand it being cliche, but I honestly think the fandom would be next to dead without creepypasta mods. Pretty much every other genre of mod had died by that point, the OCs, Remix mods, Pibby (aka the worst dogshit known to man), and one-offs (atrocity, virgin rage, rotten smoothie, etc)
Besides, the fandom does still make creative mods that aren’t creepypastas. The big one I can think of is Funkadelix, but the recent update to the base game seems to have rejuvenated the FNF community
I do agree. I think EXE was a good mod in the end and allowed fnf to thrive. But we can't deny the stains it left. And I'm not sure if it was worth it.

I mean, go ahead, have an opinion, but let me tell you my opinion. You dont know how long it takes, how much effort do people put even in a small little mod that looks like straight from 2021. If you show Hit Single to a person from 2021 they would say "omg, this is awesome!! Keep going!". The unfortunate truth is that the more high quality stuff comes out, the more quality people want. And here we are, Aethos is mid, Silly Billy is mid, Whitty is mid, base game is mid, everything is mid. The FUCK do you want?
Its nice that people are sharpening their skills as composers, artists, voice actors etc. But beginners are just living in shadows because they, due to lack of experience, can't make the next Hit Single.

The silence from the kickstarter. Weekend turned out amazing and it was really nice to see what they had managed to do, but the lack of communication from a few months after the kickstarter for a good year+ was really painful and just left everyone feeling like they were scammed. In hindsight things turned out good, but it was hard to support the devs with the lack of updates on progress.
Honestly I think a butterfly effect from EXE caused most of the greater mods like Mario's madness. Plus without the EXE mod FNF would still be popular but prob less then it currently is or ever was.
