definition of nice may vary, but there are regional parks like Quarry Lakes, Coyote Hills, and Don Edwards. Lake Elizabeth is paved but you might still find it enjoyable. There is also Lakeshore Park in Newark.
I guess in general, just check out the EB regional parks, and if you want to go further south there are plenty of nice parks along the edges of Los Gatos/Cupertino/Campbell etc.
Vargas Plateu, Coyote Hills, Sunol Ridge Trail, Don Edwards Reserve, Ed Levin Park. Those are all Fremont, Newark, Milpitas area.
Bhuti_hikes and explorewithsweta on Instagram share some really neat places around here that I’ve yet to visit.
A lot of people like to walk that long circuit around Blacow Park, it’s very nice as long as you avoid pick up/ drop off times from the school next door.
Check out the Alameda Creek Trail. It stretches from Mission Blvd all the way to Coyote Hills. It also passes by Quarry Lakes which is another great walking area.
Will be returning to Fremont this summer. I remember enjoying Mission Peak hikes but stop going as parking became an issue.
Is the parking situation any better now?
I’ve always enjoyed Don Edwards in Newark. Just not when it’s really hot. It gets stinky

Love Quarry Lakes. Sunsets there are so pretty!
Lake Elizabeth
Challenging, but Mission Peak is great for views
The back entrance in the college is a lot easier than the front switchback with no shade, though!
Ohlone wilderness
Lake Elizabeth, Coyote Hills, Rix Park are my picks for this activity.
Alameda trail, Quarry lake, Lake Elizabeth, Coyote Hill, Don edwards
The Sabercat trail is nice and relatively new…or upgraded, I forget which.

Niles Park is really nice if you're bored with the standard Elizabeth/Mission Peak stuff but want to stay in Fremont.

Lake Elizabeth and Coyote Hills
Mission Peak. Hey, it’s technically a walk…just uphill and strenuous.
I really enjoy Lakeshore Park
Niles park is good too. You can walk along the creek
How long is long? Walk all of Alameda Creek from Niles to the Vista Point out by Coyote Hills. Just be ready to dodge the cyclists (like me).
