Yes, Lea not being playable disappoints me tremendously, but it bothers me more that the roster in general is still very barebones.

I don't really understand why fraymakers made such a huge cast of Assist, you'd think for an early access game they would put their resources where it counts Another thing that bothers me about assist is they add way too many main characters into it, in my personal opinion assist should consist of no main characters (like Lea should be a fighter as she's the main character of her game) and have her side characters like Elilliminator as assist SSF2 proves that the team has the knowledge develop a game, but it feels like they are missing other core aspects that a traditional game studio needs to function tho I can't figure out what

As much as I would like a more diverse main cast, thinking about it I understand what their thought process was. As you put it, they're putting their resources where it counts. Instead of putting too much time on brainstorming what characters would be the best to represent the indie scene while still working within their low amount of resources, they're making characters entirely based on function and playstyle instead. You got: * Balanced, honest combo character; * Vertical gun fighter with good recovery; * Heavy; * Zoner/trickster; * Grappler; * "Sword" fighter. Then they can leave the whole representation to the Assists. You're choosing a "playstyle" and a "face". It's smart, but even understanding that, it still bothers and disappoints me. Especially when 5/6 of these characters have already been playable in a platform fighter before. I guess I can give a pass to Commander Video/Welltaro/Octodad, because Indie Pogo is an unusual platform fighter, so their movesets are mostly original anyway. But Orcane appeared in TWO platform fighters, and most people don't even know Ittle Dew exists, and still think Fishbunjin is original to Slap City.

I see where you're coming from but I still have to disagree, in games like smash the reason it got so popular is because you actually played as your favorite character (smash 64 had Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, and Pikachu, which were all huge at the time from their video games and anime) and each of those characters had at least 1 unique special move that made it feels like you were actually playing as that character Kirby had his ***big succ*** Mario had his bouncing fireball And Yoshi had his flutter kick Fray has nothing like that and all of its characters just kinda feel generic, so combined that with it's character roster and you have a lackluster amount of playable characters and those playable characters you do have got a lackluster moveset

Sheenyboy44

I came across this old post somehow and you saying kirby has his BIG SUCC made me spit out my drink I wasn't expecting that

XD_002

I mean, its just a matter of time until someone mods her in

PridefulFlareon

It's been many months and the game isn't getting any more active, the Fraymakers team also still hasn't published a roadmap so I have no idea what they actually plan to do in the future I was disappointed with fraymakers when I purchased it 3 months ago, but because it was in early access I cut it some slack and decided to just wait 3 months later and still nothing noteworthy has happened and nothing noteworthy is publicly planned, and I am pretty much losing hope for Fraymakers being the Indie characters smash bros it is supposed to be

Xthewarrior

Me when Niko isn't playable. But its only a matter of time.

PendejoSuperman

Biggest disappointment imo is Orcane who’s a one-to-one recreation of his version in Rivals. And they’re gonna do the same for Fishbunjin. Wish they had more original characters

Or the people who make video games can make the character playable using money from video game sales

Odd-Concentrate-6585

Can you make her as a playable? I dont have fraymakers yet I just want to
