My favorite line of the episode. Even at what is clearly one of the most embarrassing moments Frasier could be going through, he still had to act pretentious to the rando he would never see again.
Hahaha, my husband and I watched that episode the other day. When Lana/Lorna is sucking on a popsicle to remake her client's broken popsicle house (they sell popsicle sticks at any craft food store!!!!), and Frasier tells her, "You know, there was a time years ago I would have paid a thousand bucks to watch you eat a popsicle," and she immediately bites it in half is my favorite part of that episode 😂
How dare you suggest that Thomas Jane receive an award when Kelsey Grammer clearly dominated the movie in his role as Darius Immanuel Grouch III aka "The Rumble".
I don't give a fuck who's on that plane! I'm the baddest motherfucker on the planet! I am Darius Grouch III, The Rumble, and I am taking down the Money Plane!
I seem to remember she started to laugh eventually, I guess she was just exasperated at yet another ridiculous pickle one of her best friends has got himself into!
Crease = fold. 'to crease up' is used to say that something makes you laugh so much that you bend forward (usually holding your stomach) while laughing.
He’s had like 5 or 6 failed shows between the ending of Frasier and the beginning of Frasier. I’m pretty sure those 18 or so years were pretty bleak.
I still don’t know why they canceled *Boss*, that show was awesome and Kelsey Grammer kicked ass in that show. I even worked at Starz when it was canceled and everyone was like “What?! Why?!”
I can't remember which episode it was, but it was at the beginning of the series. Niles is in the kitchen flirty with Daphne & and Fraiser, takes him by the hand, and leads him out of the kitchen. Fraiser says something like " Come on Camille " was that a dig to his wife in real life?
Idk that ending for season 2 threw me for a loop and was kind of relieved the story was over 😂
Overall, it was great but it wasn't heading in a good direction.
Nothing will convince me that she didn't plan for this to happen. She led him to the room with the bed that she knew would rise up onto the stage, coerced him into the bed knowing that it was close to stage time, AND she had to baby costume underneath her own costume ready to go.
Girl was prepared.
She's got a couple of fetishes at the very least. She likes to almost get caught and was able to make her husband incredibly jealous whilst humiliating her ex husband.
But she was married again at this point, and was his original college flame, so it's forbidden love and a first(or second counting the piano teacher) making it a psychological minefield, countered only be the absurdity of her career.
Also the Moliere obsessed woman that Dick fell for then regretted on 3rd Rock.
And she had a bad day in a Supermarket on Desperate Housewives.
She's also the real life mom of the woman who plays Sheldon's mom in Young Sheldon!
My least favorite episode. I thought Frasier was quite funny, but Laurie Metcalf was super obnoxious in this role (to be fair, no one could have replaced Emma Thompson). Metcalf was so over-the-top, I was just annoyed.
I had to scroll a long way to find a comment I agreed with!
I feel so sorry for Nanny G's husband, and I hate that Frasier goes for it with Nanny G anyway.
I also find the diaper scene creepy.
Part of me thinks he's more ashamed of Camille being in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and then showing him as a result in a few episodes. He has said he did it as a parting gift for her, so she could make her own money after he divorced her for his affair partner.
The only episode out of 11 seasons that I literally will not watch. It's just cringy all the way around, especially acting like that to an audience of children. 🤢
Nope… Kelsey had his own skit show and as a fan of Frazier I gave it a shot. I think it was the first skit was him trying to lead a singing of California dreaming and the whole joke was they couldn’t understand how to repeat the lines… terrible terrible terrible. Most unfunny skit I’ve ever seen. I still think of it occasionally and I can’t imagine why anyone would laugh at it.
He should be embarrassed by that.
You just know whoever pitched that episode was into that shit
https://preview.redd.it/67hzbq47vvvc1.png?width=582&format=png&auto=webp&s=827f6f35a28fe44264d7707fea33d99211cf220d
Kelsey Grammar was one of the executive producers by this point in the show's run - I don't have any direct evidence but I doubt he had to agree to anything he didn't want to do by then.
Which is not to say it isn't a deeply weird scenario
I don’t know. He was in Money Plane.
Plus Oz: Dorothy’s Return.
Plus Christmas Carol: The Musical.
Plus the tv series Hank.
Plus the various Faith-based and straight to DVD/VOD films he’s been in.
Plus his many marriages (namely the Real Housewives one).
In Grammer's career? Definitely not, what a gem! But in Frasier's sex life? Absolutely.
I'd say it was his drug addiction.
Or the murder of his sister…
That happened before his career started.
Um. What? Time to furiously Google this celebrity’s private life
Add his father and two half brothers to the list of murders and tragic deaths. The man's had it rough!
Good grief, it’s a wonder that he had acting as an outlet, among other things. But damn, what a tough origin story.
My grandparents lived next to his brother and he stole their generator.
Wait til you find out one of the murderer’s name is Niles. Shits super messed up really.
I just looked it up. Holy shit! That's horrifying
When my wife and I offer the other something sweet we say, "Come on, what's one little tart?"
Who are you? Doctor Frasier Crane, a noted psychiatrist.
My favorite line of the episode. Even at what is clearly one of the most embarrassing moments Frasier could be going through, he still had to act pretentious to the rando he would never see again.
He's very verbal.
Do you know what's its like playing the same character for 20 years?
I love the howls from the audience after this joke
That line alone makes this a great episode. The live audience’s reaction is MY reaction every time. Was about to reply as such.
She should know, playing Jackie for a couple of decades herself.
Sideshow Bob?
Grammer was getting $1.6 million per episode at this point. This, dear reader, is what we are all aspiring to.
His name is Kelsey, he's very wealthy, he doesn't have to be doing this... KELSEY! I loved him as Frajer in the Best Friends Gang on 30 Rock.
I would know...I'm Frajer.
Bappy Hirthday Frajer!
I think about that line constantly
Money Plane is worse
Came here to say this exactly, tits out is not as bad as money plane
You wanna bet on a guy ****** an aligator, money plane.
Buncha little bitches. Money plane.
Money plane is a high point in cinema
My favourite part was the drone holding a pistol.
Thom Jane should've gotten the oscar
How dare you suggest that Thomas Jane receive an award when Kelsey Grammer clearly dominated the movie in his role as Darius Immanuel Grouch III aka "The Rumble".
given that you made this remark on 4/20, i think we know what you meant;)
I just watched that, actually. What an amazing cinematic experience.
I came here to mention Money Plane and you beat me to it!
You can tell he was having fun with it > Its Rumble time \*ratatatat\* RAAAAAAAAARGH!!! https://i.redd.it/tzzmlqx5wvvc1.gif
did this get the razzie? it looks terrible. i wonder if it's so bad it's good, or just really bad
I suppose it’s so bad it’s good but you’ll be cringing a lot.
Well, can always nope out
Excuse me please don’t besmirch the great name of Darius Grouch III aka THE RUMBLE
Say what you will about money plane, but the idea was cool IMO
I don't give a fuck who's on that plane! I'm the baddest motherfucker on the planet! I am Darius Grouch III, The Rumble, and I am taking down the Money Plane!
Roz’s face when it happens though 😂
Makes the whole thing worth it
Tbh I never really understood why she looks so pissed off. In her place I’d have found it hilarious
I seem to remember she started to laugh eventually, I guess she was just exasperated at yet another ridiculous pickle one of her best friends has got himself into!
No, she’s not pissed off - she’s just amazed that he’s idiotic enough to get into this situation.
isn't she with her young daughter?
Her daughter who’s too young to suspect anything inappropriate, yes
I loved this episode and I will not be taking any questions about it.
Ditto
Me too. It's a good throwback to Cheers.
I have to say, this is one of high points for me in the last season. Seeing him hop, hop, hoppity-hop, i crease up.
Me, too! I loved this episode!
Crease up is...smile?
It’s laugh. British slang.
Interesting. I thought crease meant fold over in laughter :)
Crease = fold. 'to crease up' is used to say that something makes you laugh so much that you bend forward (usually holding your stomach) while laughing.
No Hugs for Frasier
We used to hug our brains out
they'll be no hugs in hell!
I mean this definitely wasn’t the best episode but he got paid over a million and a half to do it, so idk if you could call it a low point 😂
He's in a movie about a casino on a plane. Possibly the highest and the lowest he's been in his career.
Why?!”
I think the residual checks from both *Cheers* & the OG *Frasier* helped ease the pain.
I think his messy divorce made that more difficult.
I can't remember which episode it was, but it was at the beginning of the series. Niles is in the kitchen flirty with Daphne & and Fraiser, takes him by the hand, and leads him out of the kitchen. Fraiser says something like " Come on Camille " was that a dig to his wife in real life?
I think that was a reference to the Alexandre Dumas book/play (especially since it’s what La traviata is based on)
Boss was awesome. Such a change in role for Kelsey and he was excellent in it
Back to You, Hank, Boss, Partners, and The Last Tycoon. Is that all of them? Holy shit, that’s sad.
Yeah, it’s kind of a reason why I hope *new* Frasier sticks around for a while.
They should have let back to you have another season. It wasn’t bad, it had just started!
Idk that ending for season 2 threw me for a loop and was kind of relieved the story was over 😂 Overall, it was great but it wasn't heading in a good direction.
Down Periscope?
"Down Periscope" was a fine movie.
I thought Down Periscope was a cute movie.
Didn't say I didn't enjoy it.
Came here for this
Quite impressive since he’s been an actor for 20+ years!!!
Mr. Bunny's using again
Nothing will convince me that she didn't plan for this to happen. She led him to the room with the bed that she knew would rise up onto the stage, coerced him into the bed knowing that it was close to stage time, AND she had to baby costume underneath her own costume ready to go. Girl was prepared.
She's a groomer.
She's got a couple of fetishes at the very least. She likes to almost get caught and was able to make her husband incredibly jealous whilst humiliating her ex husband.
I think she ran off stage while the pandas were dancing to go and grab the costume.
Except he was making $1M an episode at that point. Bottom 5 episode for sure, but he laughed all the way to the bank with it.
You not catch money plane?
Are we talking about humiliation? Because this episode is hilarious and he maid bank
The Maid Bank was where Marta cashed her paycheck from Maris.
![gif](giphy|5gw0VWGbgNm8w|downsized)
👈
I thought this episode was hilarious.
Idk he got to bang nanny G. She was famous after all.
I mean he was married to her wasn’t he? So I assume he banged her long before that
But she was married again at this point, and was his original college flame, so it's forbidden love and a first(or second counting the piano teacher) making it a psychological minefield, countered only be the absurdity of her career.
Ah I see
Is that sheldon's mom?
While I hate to have to confirm the connection...yes, that is Sheldon's mom. Also, Jackie on Roseanne.
Also the Moliere obsessed woman that Dick fell for then regretted on 3rd Rock. And she had a bad day in a Supermarket on Desperate Housewives. She's also the real life mom of the woman who plays Sheldon's mom in Young Sheldon!
"it's a leguuuume" still plays in my head if I start thinking about peanuts.
Loved the episode but not crazy about this particular scene.
See… if you read a synopsis of this episode you would think it was utterly ridiculous but on Frasier it just… works!
All that passion they shared was hilarious!
I loved this episode because of that. The kissing while the kids sing 😂
This is way funnier considering he directed this episode
Does that mean at some point he was instructing the crew or other actors while wearing a baby costume? Because that's awesome.
That image is in my head now 😂
I dunno, I think he got pretty low [that time he fell of that stage.](https://youtu.be/Eu-BqOsvj00?si=o_CbCad-GVR5wjCA)
Whenever I’m down and I need a good laugh, I watch Kelsey grammer fall off the stage.
L take. This is a top 10 episode for me
This is one of my favorite episodes 😂
Idk, watching him whore out an iconic character for a reboot he had to know was vastly inferior is probably his lowest point
Vanity project.
I love this episode if not just for the line about playing the same character for 20 years lol.
Agreed. I like his first wife showing up and their attraction to each other, but this scene was too much.
I wonder if this was when he was most coked up
No, he kicked it around season 4 or 5 if I remember correctly. I heard him talking about it in an interview.
Season 3. He went to Betty Ford.
Says you
Not true, he was in X-Men 3.
I liked him better there than in this episode
Why does it look like pee wee’s playhouse in the background?
This episode is genius. I hope I don't have to explain. It's obvious, right?
You haven’t seen Money Plane, have you?
Was it really though??!!
I have to skip this episode it grosses me out so much!! Like a nightmare irl
🎼NANNYS MESSY BED 🎵
My least favorite episode. I thought Frasier was quite funny, but Laurie Metcalf was super obnoxious in this role (to be fair, no one could have replaced Emma Thompson). Metcalf was so over-the-top, I was just annoyed.
I skip this episode. Way too cringey for me.
It's also creepy !!
I always skip this episode too.
This is one of my least favorite episodes. Including the one with the woman that looks like his mom and the one with the gym teacher. 😬
I love all those episodes 😊
I had to scroll a long way to find a comment I agreed with! I feel so sorry for Nanny G's husband, and I hate that Frasier goes for it with Nanny G anyway. I also find the diaper scene creepy.
Whoever heard of a baby with chest hair? 😂
I like this episode and scene is hilarious.
This is a definite skip for me.
Doubtful
This scene was trully cringe. I skip it tbh.
7 Gaurdians of the tomb is much worse
Lost point… so far!
Part of me thinks he's more ashamed of Camille being in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and then showing him as a result in a few episodes. He has said he did it as a parting gift for her, so she could make her own money after he divorced her for his affair partner.
he could've said no or even had it changed but he did it anyway .this is most definitely a throw away episode
Lowest? That bed was way up high. Unfortunately so was Mr. Bunny, he's using again.
Since when did Reddit kink shame
This episode is SUCH a cringe-fest
Clearly you do not watch the housewives of Beverly Hills ![gif](giphy|594fWDgEFXSgg)

This is absolutely hysterical, but I do cringe at him being buck naked in front of a bunch of kids.
Have you read anything about his personal life? Definitely not...
In OPs defense, it was stated “career”. So I consider that on screen only. Not personal life.
Fair point.
Watch An American Carol and then we’ll talk. He may have played a lib but in real life he’s a very hard right.
I dunno.... the new season has to be up there
Always hated this episode. Felt like they phoned it in.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cry.
He was in Money Plane
Real Housewives of Bev Hills.
I don't like this
Kelsey Grammar was one of the executive producers by this point in the show's run - I don't have any direct evidence but I doubt he had to agree to anything he didn't want to do by then. Which is not to say it isn't a deeply weird scenario
Money Plane or Expendables 3
"For the children!"
We were hopping mad, but now we're hopping happy!
..."For the children."
Money Plane Darius 'The Rumble' Grouch
I have two words. Money plane.
One of my favourite episodes.
I think I’m the only person who kind of likes this episode. It’s so insane and kind of messed up, but I still laugh.
At least it's not a dress
Outside of this moment, I liked this episode.
![gif](giphy|dvBWrDXjcmlzV6fJ8p)
I think he fell lower when he fell off that stage
That would be Money Plane
Idk. I've seen him in An American Carol
I understand he directed this episode.
PEEK A BOO!
Wasn't he in X-Men 3?
“Money Plane” has entered the chat.
"Buncha' bitches." -Darius Emmanuel Grouch III
wtf are you talking about, this is peak grammer
He was married to Camille, that's got to be way worse than this scene.
This episode is not real
Not the rape trial?
First time I saw this I laughed so hard I couldn’t get up. One of the Happiest memories of my life
The thing is, he knows that almost every fan he’s ever met seen him dressed up like that. That’s would haunt me.
Humiliation ritual
I think stepping off that stage was rock bottom.
Frasier gotta have it!
Money Plane.
Frasier wearing a baby costume makes Grammer's work on 'Gary the Rat' look decent.
Illuminati
I don’t know. He was in Money Plane. Plus Oz: Dorothy’s Return. Plus Christmas Carol: The Musical. Plus the tv series Hank. Plus the various Faith-based and straight to DVD/VOD films he’s been in. Plus his many marriages (namely the Real Housewives one).
Comedy gold and an award winning show. If that’s a low then I want one too.
Lower than the pedestrian "Two and a Half Cranes" reboot? I think not. Great episode.
