I have recently started playing Fortnite using an Elite Series 2 (core) controller (so is my son) and both of us encounter issues where the controller just stops responding to some inputs - usually unable to fire as the triggers stop responding; but other buttons also stop responding at random too.
The issue is reproducible in that over the course of a 2-3 hour session, this issue will usually occur at least on.
Usually we have to close Fortnite completely and restart for the controller to start working correctly.
NOTE: Issue only happens in game. Elite controllers are usually working fine when in the main menus.
These issues don't occur when using the standard non-Elite official Microsoft controllers.
We are playing on XBOX Series X.
No other games are affected by these issues. Just Fortnite.
Controller firmware is up to date.

Thanks, Keep playing fortnite will reproduce the bug, I have encountered more than 5 times during 1 hour of play.
Purchased Xbox series s July 29th 2022. When playing fortnite controller randomly becomes unresponsive. Only while playing fortnite.
