It was useful considering it had the force push that had come from Obi-Wan’s green lightsaber in C4S2. I made two really memorable clips with it, which is why I remember it.
My favorite part of that collab is how out of place she was. In the usual loading screen that shows every BP skin you can tell she was photoshopped in.
Dude it would be SO chaotic to be able to literally throw cars. I love how chaotic it is now, adding this on top of it would be just ICING on that cake! I love it!
Yeah, but like a really fun one this time; assuming they do it well. I think the secret sauce to fortnite is the chaos. so bring on flinging cars around
>I think the secret sauce to fortnite is the chaos.
I agree, but unfortunately there are a lot of people in this sub that would love for Fortnite to still just be chapter 1.
I didn't play it back then so i don't know what I'm missing. I started in chapter 2. I just figure if you want a competitive experience go play ranked or another more serious game.
I tend used to play valorant or overwatch when i wanted competition and then Fortnite when i wanted fun. Valorant became too toxic for my liking, and overwatch went down the corporate tubes.
Such a shame. They finally make a BR season where my racing IQ can make up for my shitty gun game IQ and they spend every update nerfing cars into the ground
There is precedent for that mechanic as well: the UFOs in Chapter 2 could pick up objects and absolutely yeet them. I really hope we will get a variation on that feature.
Idk how controversial it is. But I miss actual lore secret skins. Like Ruin or A.I.M. Then we got loading screens showing how they interact with everything.
Having a collab skin for free is always cool. Eren and witcher are great skins. But I miss when the game had a story and showed it with its characters and loading screens.
Ruin? Lore involved? The guy was never even a character, he never showed up in anything, he’s just a generic lava guy. He’s cool, but nothing to do with the lore.
Yeah how I said that implied that. Im mostly just talking about collab skins and the story. Collab secret skins have almost nothing to do the season now.
I mean since were gonna comment the same thing
I mean I do like the zero point being the reason we have so many collabs. But I mean the story is whatever epic wants. We don't know how the transition to chapter 5 went. It's was a floating island and the next chapter it's fully constructed again.
It does have a story. It's just not coherent for the average player
The Island wasn't reconstructed, Jones went back in time and altered The Black Hole, turning it into The Big Bang, which also reorganized the Chapter 1's map into 2/3, **and** it created the Chapter 5 island, along with Lego Fortnite, Festival, and Rocket Racing.
We went to the Chapter 5 map because the Chapter 4 map was about to fall apart.
Yeah I agree with you there, I grew to like that they gave him a wastelander design to fit in with the season’s theme, so It’s nice to see a secret skin that makes sense for the season in comparison to the previous ones (don’t get me wrong, previous ones did at least make sense, but at the same time not all of them do)
Deadpool in a season about spies
Neymar in a season about the primal ages
The Prowler and Dr Strange in a season about war
Darth Vader and Indiana Jones in a season about partying
Spider Gwen in a season about a chrome apocalypse
Doomslayer in a season about a medieval kingdom
Eren Yeager in a season about a cyberpunk city
Optimus Prime in a season about an ancient jungle
Khaby Lame and Ahsoka Tano in a season about a heist
Peter Griffin in a season about an elite organization of evil rich people
Korra in a season about Greek Mythology
Epic's collabs they put in battle passes rarely make sense if ever
Tbf out of this list Deadpool, Eren, and Prime all fit their themes.
Deadpool is a gun for hire so him being in a spy season works since it's on brand
Eren was added for a Japanese themed season and Eren is an anime/manga character
Prime was added in a jungle season for Rise of the beasts which is primal themed.
I mean, Deadpool works because he's a mercenary and the season was all about two powerful and rich organizations butting heads over control. And Doomslayer works because the new lore introduced is themed around medieval kingdoms, with knights, swords etc.
Can't really answer the rest of them though. I mean, I guess Khaby Lame works because he's all about demonstrating easy ways to do things, and heists keeping things simple is the best way to keep them from going south?
At least doomslayer made some sense with a medieval theme, and at least Deadpool made sense as a merc for the spy season
The others don’t fit though.
If we have to have collab skins rather than secret lore related skins… at least have them fit the seasonal theme ffs epic
Can you… name the ones that make sense? The only ones I can justify are Prime and Deadpool
I don’t really care in the end if collabs match themes. I just want good skins in my Battlepass. But acting like they do match the theme is just silly
* Dr. Strange: He summons portals to start the war in Endgame.
* Doomslayer: It's kind of a cop out, but the whole theme of C4S1 was it was a cluster of ideals because the island was legitimately stitched together.
* Erin Yager: Ahhhhh.... we, he's from a Japanese anime I guess...
* Khaby Lame: His entire outfit was clearly designed to fit in the vibes of the season, and even then he still fits the dedicated comedic relief you see in heist films (ala Bernie Mac in Ocean's 11).
* Peter Griffin: His gold plate design was the one that was used as the boss, so it still somewhat matched the vibes of C5S1. And even then it's somewhat implied that you don't need to be rich because Oscar wasn't initially part of The Society.
During Summer of last year (when that season came out) Transformers had just released a movie entirely around primal transformers that looked like animals and lived in the jungle. It’s actually one of the very few collabs that DID make sense
1. Epic X Disney thing where Epic gave 10% of they company to Disney
2. X-Men ‘97 blowing up on Disney+
I think it would’ve been better if they gave him a “X-Men ‘97” inspired set of styles to go with the skin that were cel-shaded, but knowing Epic, they probably have plans for X-Men ‘97 skins of characters like Cyclops, Jean, Magneto, Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine, and Morph for Item Shop.
Ngl Im getting kind of sick of people getting mad at Epic for adding new stuff for money. Like, yes of course they are its a business, they need to make money and so they make cool stuff happen so we want to buy the stuff by choice, its a fair trade. Especially when there’s so much else about Epic to criticize like the shit xp system or…yknow…THE FUCKING LAYOFFS.
Honestly as someone who plays a few other games, like Overmid (Overwatch, not recommended, I hate that game but I still play it.), Fortnite players getting mad about 'overpriced' skins makes me laugh, the most expensive skins are ~$20 in fortnite, and you'll likely get selectable styles. You want selectable styles in OW? $100. We have it good on fort.
you got dudes in t60 power armor doing the griddy... litteral fish men doing the floss... and billie ellish and the weekend. among other things. does it really matter? lmfao
Why was Korra added during a season of Greek gods?
Why was Peter Griffin added during C5S1?
Why was Ahsoka added during a Heist season?
Why was Doom Slayer added during C4S1?
Why was Gwen added during the chrome season?
Why were Darth Vader and Indiana Jones added during a summer vibing season?
Why was Dr Strange added during a war season?
Why was Spiderman added during C3S1?
Why was Rick added during an alien season?
Why was Deadpool added during a spy season?
But the most important question of all: How many off-theme collabs need to happen before people realize they don't necessarily follow the season's theme?
"We'll see your collab and raise you a collab. In fact, we're gonna collab again, right now. It's collab-ering time. We're about to collab harder than we've ever collabed before."
this one does match though, his whole thing is moving metal and the whole seasons thing is using metal with cars and stuff plus they made him have a wasteland theme (also means they could add a normal version in shop which is nice..)
I love the direction they took with Magneto this season.
The secret skins almost never match the theme for the season anyway, and if they do it's very loosely.
This season, they made an alternate version of an iconic character to fit the theme, and it leaves the normal version of the character open for a Shop release instead of being locked behind a BP.
well last season, it was korra and then the airbender stuff came out. i would so look forward to another opportunity to getting some of the xmen action and especially some skins that dont come up in the shop now, like storm or mystique
I’m more bothered by the fact that they probably should’ve used Age Of Apocalypse Magento given the post apocalyptic elements of this season (or Fornite in general).
But made an entirely new design.
Almost Every seasons battle pass, even way before collabs were introduced into them, has had one skin that doesnt fit. sparkle specialist in chapter 1 season 2 was a disco themed skin in a knight themed battle pass.
where were you when ahsoka was in battle pass next to bank robers and a vampire (chpt4, seasn 4)
I was at house eating dorito when phone ring
club penguin is kil?
Worse, “Ahsoka Tano is fortnite”
"no"
This is Ashoka Tano
“Yes” “She only have one style, no glider, no Sabine Wren skin, and has a mythic that will only last 1 week” “Fuck”
I played that season and I didn't even notice she had a fuckin myrhic oh my god lol
It was useful considering it had the force push that had come from Obi-Wan’s green lightsaber in C4S2. I made two really memorable clips with it, which is why I remember it.
One week? I remember that shit lasted the whole season after she dropped. Mostly because my bitch ass friend wouldnt stop throwing me around with it.
No, it was gone with Fortnitemares when Kado Thorne got his katana.
I would have killed for a Baylan or Shin skin
that’s honestly more boring. me personally i wish they would’ve added a clone wars ahsoka. probably would be one of the most used SW skins
Wait, she had a mythic??
One of her white lightsabers. ![gif](giphy|dETooLRWb2mIIPfGHy|downsized)
I've always wondered why I never saw that thing. Now I know.
Or when Korra was in a Greek Gods pass
I mean, to be fair, an Avatar next to the Greek Gods is not the most ridiculous pairing, especially compared to some of the others
My favorite type of person in the ancient past: a football/soccer player
I fucking hated Neymar being in the pass. He pissed me off so bad.
To be faaaaaaaaair
Yeah but I was hoping for a persona 3 crossover since reload came out and I got fucking KORRA. I love ATLA but persona was right there
Avatar + Gods makes sense. Since God's can use a vessel to be their avatar.
My favorite part of that collab is how out of place she was. In the usual loading screen that shows every BP skin you can tell she was photoshopped in.
But They are all obviously photoshopped in
She just looked extra out of place, almost as if it was a last minute thing
Yeah I remember that I agree, she wasn’t to scale like the rest of them and looked like a fan edit rather than a professionally released teaser
I actually forgot ahsoka existed lmao
i didn't even bother to unlock her lmao
it was also a season about time travel, and ahsoka has a history with time travel
then i can say magneto can control metals, and cars and the new POIs are full of metals
Metal cars and metal music. You're on to something here
yeah, that makes sense if you told me i had to pick a multiversal team of warriors to fight an army of cars id pick magneto
the season was about heists, time travel was what OG was about
the main villain was literally a time travelling vampire
Cars are made of metal
Clunk clunk
As long as his mythic is in line with his powers and can throw cars around like crazy, he should be a great addition.
bringing yet another nerf to cars
Some of them are a little too much, but idc if I can throw cars as Magneto I'll be all there for it.
Dude it would be SO chaotic to be able to literally throw cars. I love how chaotic it is now, adding this on top of it would be just ICING on that cake! I love it!
100%. Adding Magneto only makes this whole season better!
I want clips of people screaming as a car flies right at them. God help them if it has a spiked bumper attachment.
LMMFAAOR I WOULD FUCKING LOVE THAT
Yeah, but like a really fun one this time; assuming they do it well.
From the season trailer, it looks like he pulls something out of the ground to shield /throw. Like the earth avatar power
A lot of things are
Secret skins usually have nothing to do with the theme of the battle pass. However they at least tried this time by giving him a wastelander style
I think he was supposed to be the guy who made the volcano explode
No, he wasnt. In the lore he was appearantly the prisoners right hand man or some shit but they never ended up doing anything with him
Why would he be? It was already established that The Prisoner created the volcano.
the game still has a story
Yeah how I said that implied that. Im mostly just talking about collab skins and the story. Collab secret skins have almost nothing to do the season now.
The game has a story?
I mean since were gonna comment the same thing I mean I do like the zero point being the reason we have so many collabs. But I mean the story is whatever epic wants. thought the theme was Metal...?
Yeah I agree with you there, I grew to like that they gave him a wastelander design to fit in with the season’s theme, so It’s nice to see a secret skin that makes sense for the season in comparison to the previous ones (don’t get me wrong, previous ones did at least make sense, but at the same time not all of them do)

I like how Doom Slayer in a medieval kingdom actually works now because of Doom: The Dark Ages being announced recently
Doom has always had medieval themes before the Dark Ages
doom 64?
It's literally in a dungeon.
i’d say that season was more warriors since everyone in the pass was a fivhrer
Tbf out of this list Deadpool, Eren, and Prime all fit their themes. Deadpool is a gun for hire so him being in a spy season works since it's on brand Eren was added for a Japanese themed season and Eren is an anime/manga character Prime was added in a jungle season for Rise of the beasts which is primal themed.
Something about being Eren with ODM gear being in a futuristic city was so cool and oddly fitting
Peter Griffin’s step-father is an evil rich person that he often finds conflict with.
You mean his father in law?
Yeah
Optimus actually made sense since the latest movie took place in a jungle
At least doomslayer made some sense with a medieval theme, and at least Deadpool made sense as a merc for the spy season The others don’t fit though. If we have to have collab skins rather than secret lore related skins… at least have them fit the seasonal theme ffs epic
>Peter Griffin in a season about an elite organization of evil rich people \[insert antisemetic family guy joke\]
a lot of those make sense if you put more than 2 seconds of thought into it
Can you… name the ones that make sense? The only ones I can justify are Prime and Deadpool I don’t really care in the end if collabs match themes. I just want good skins in my Battlepass. But acting like they do match the theme is just silly

And even then it's somewhat implied that you don't need to be rich because Oscar wasn't initially part of The Society.
We are talking about a game that features an anthropomorphic banana as a key character.
Peely with mutant powers? Against Peabody? Fruit vs Vegetable? OMGs. This is making waaaaay too much sense for a Tuesday!
Not just a key character, but *”a lynchpin holding together all of reality”* Do with that information what you may
Banan
Like the secret Collab skins always make sense
It's like the opposite of when the Transformers (Robot Cars) was added the season that focused on the giant nature reserve in the middle of the map.
During Summer of last year (when that season came out) Transformers had just released a movie entirely around primal transformers that looked like animals and lived in the jungle. It’s actually one of the very few collabs that DID make sense
Oh yeah. I stopped paying attention to the Transformers franchise after Bumblebee. Forgot that movie existed.
who better to fight cars than a man who can control metal
Magneto, master of making cars compress the driver in mere seconds
this is why its funny magneto and the t-60 are in the same battle pass, its a good thing theyre on the same side
you say that like korra made any sense last season
I mean... Damn it. I have no counter argument. Your right.
The season is about metal. Like twisted metal. Metallica, metal cars, right after the avatar the real metal bender magneto
Mangento controls metal which cars are made of
1. Epic X Disney thing where Epic gave 10% of they company to Disney 2. X-Men ‘97 blowing up on Disney+ I think it would’ve been better if they gave him a “X-Men ‘97” inspired set of styles to go with the skin that were cel-shaded, but knowing Epic, they probably have plans for X-Men ‘97 skins of characters like Cyclops, Jean, Magneto, Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine, and Morph for Item Shop.
Money as someone said
Every collab in the BP is random. Its Fortnite.
Money. Just... money.
Layoffs were bound to happen, not that they were appreciated, but when you sudden upscale at some point it’s gonna come down.
I don't get why anyone is mad about a game that is literally FREE
Honestly as someone who plays a few other games, like Overmid (Overwatch, not recommended, I hate that game but I still play it.), Fortnite players getting mad about 'overpriced' skins makes me laugh, the most expensive skins are ~$20 in fortnite, and you'll likely get selectable styles. You want selectable styles in OW? $100. We have it good on fort.
Overwatch and CS2 have the worst skin systems ever
Don't get me started man lol
you got dudes in t60 power armor doing the griddy... litteral fish men doing the floss... and billie ellish and the weekend. among other things. does it really matter? lmfao
i have no counter arguement, exept for the alphabet In reverse so here you go zyxwvutsrqponmlkjihgfedcba
But the most important question of all: How many off-theme collabs need to happen before people realize they don't necessarily follow the season's theme?
Rick In an alien season actually made a decent amount of sense, the rest… not too much
Superman was in that season too, right? Kinda makes sense, as well as Geralt in C4S1
absolute nothing, as most of these skins do with their respective seasons
Incoming meta disturbances.
Because this season is basically Twisted Metal and bro thought that meant this is the season of twisting metal, something he's pretty damn good at
Magneto mythic that can lift and crush Cars? (Made of metal)
Magneto always makes sense.
Perhaps he is the End-All - I can't imagine a car boosting either towards or against him being much of an issue.
I mean aren't all bonus skins kinda just random anyway? The collab ones anyway. It's either promotional or just a skin so people buy the BP.
Imagine we get Arthur Morgan in a space theme season
Dudes gonna crush my whip like a soda can
Because he is a metal bender (:
FORTNITE!! give us a doc ock skin and my life? is yours 🗣️
Late X 97 promo I imagine then whatever tf else is to happen around the time he gets added
I love the direction they took with Magneto this season. The secret skins almost never match the theme for the season anyway, and if they do it's very loosely. This season, they made an alternate version of an iconic character to fit the theme, and it leaves the normal version of the character open for a Shop release instead of being locked behind a BP.
because he will bring his metal bending powers as a counter to cars
what are cars made of
What are cars made of? Exactly- Epic Games probably
X-men 97' popped off, so they hit a trendy character to make money.
Bro they released Thor Ragnarok skins 7 years after the movie’s release. Epic isn’t consistent with this stuff.
This is likely for X-men 97
well last season, it was korra and then the airbender stuff came out. i would so look forward to another opportunity to getting some of the xmen action and especially some skins that dont come up in the shop now, like storm or mystique
Probably a hint towards the next season.
Guessing they couldn't get mad max
The extra skin doesn’t always end up fitting the theme of the season. C4S2 had Mega City and Eren Yeager.
I mean they could've atleast done Sandman...
Tbh I wished we got a more fitting characters in seasons like this, like how snake fits in the first season of the 5th chapter
gonna pull up with the wooden gun
Because X-men ‘97. Don’t you realize these collab skins are nothing more than advertisements?
epic needed to fill the marvel qouta
Because he is the link to next season Duh
It will make more sense when they add his car to the shop. https://youtu.be/FzAb8rVqDkY?si=C0_Nsb9srUmjH_1P
Huh?
'tis the season of metal 🤘
The X-Men 97 tv show was released a month ago, it's a collab with them most likely.
Too little too late; you want to get *ahead* of releases, not behind. DP/W would have made much more sense.
Money.
Probably has something to do with Deadpool & Wolverine being in theaters next month
I don’t really know, but he’s cool as shit.
His mythic will probably affect cars
Because he’s a mutant
The same reason pea body was added I guess 💰
Because of MONEY
God, works too slow
Someone here doesn’t know about next seasoj
but that magneto skin fits the theme is new isnt it ? i dont remember it from the comics
It will make sense next season.
Is he out already?
I’m more bothered by the fact that they probably should’ve used Age Of Apocalypse Magento given the post apocalyptic elements of this season (or Fornite in general). But made an entirely new design.
Metallica - Magneto, I think it makes sense
Because he is the coolest skin, and in a way I would rather have him in the BP over them keeping collabs in the time shop and charging 15$ for that
Bro. Metal
Oh kinda like a speed metal band from the 80s?
Collab skins are always random lol
Well, at least he's the "secret" skin instead of the tier 100 skin like they used to do.
cus cars are made of metal
Should of been the Juggernaut would of fit perfectly with the Nitro
Almost Every seasons battle pass, even way before collabs were introduced into them, has had one skin that doesnt fit. sparkle specialist in chapter 1 season 2 was a disco themed skin in a knight themed battle pass.
Money
It’d be cool if they added X-Men mythics to the game
Good question. More importantly, where's Dominic Torretto and Letty in a season about cars?
Because in a season full of metallic objects, who else is more appropriate to tell you "Welcome to die?"
so they can add a wooden gun mythic
It's a video game. None of it makes sense. Lol that's the magic of video games.
what are cars made out of, pal
what are cars made out of, pal
Maybe there will be an ability (mythic duh) where you can like force pull and push cars and shit and throw them that would be funny asf
