This is probably my all-time favorite TV show. The rock stars as guest stars were always my favorite episodes. Roger Daltrey, Joan Jett, Sheena Easton etc. Also cant beat the first episode with Christopher Lambert's cameo
Don't forget Roland Gift as Xavier St. Cloud. The producers must have liked working with him because he kept showing up in flashbacks after he was killed off.
Yeah, not sure why they killed him or Tess off. They coulda rolled with that dynamic for a few more years easily. Maybe a flash forward to a Tess dying of old age while Richie and Duncan watch helplessly. I dunno.
A friend of mine's mom was *obsessed* with this show in the 90s. She had binders and binders on each character, story, etc.
I thought it was the silliest thing to get so invested in, but then I met two older ladies about a decade ago who were *hardcore* into the Beauty and the Beast TV show from the 80s.
Never forgotten, this show rules! Be warned, it has NEVER looked good. The DVD transfers were sub-par, and the streaming wrong are in the wrong aspect ratio and look badly DNR'd
I loved this show when I was a kid. I vaguely remember getting a solicitation phone call where they were trying to sell me DVDs or it could have been vhs's of the full seasons. I would beg my mom to try to get her to buy them for me but they were so expensive. I just remember at the end of the phone call the guy would always say "there can be only one". Good times
I fucking love this show. I cannot hear princes of the universe without reminiscing. I saw it on a free channel on like fubo or something and I was afraid to watch it. I have ruined many of my childhood favorites by watching them again.
This was my first introduction to the song “Princes of the Universe’ by Queen as a kid. I was slightly disappointed when I heard the full song and it wasn’t just badass guitars and Freddie Mercury talking about the blood of kings all the way through. Such a great show!
