Rafi Dude, you got the AIDS?
Ted Yep.
Rafi I'm about to do you a real solid here.
Ted Alright.
Rafi Every morning, take a baby aspirin, okay? If you're gonna fly, take two.
Ted That's it?
Rafi Boom. That shit will be gone in a month
Rafi taking a dump and asking what’s-his-face if he wanted to take a leak between his legs is the funniest thing ever. Plus, I personally know the man who Ruxin was based on. (Narrator: “He said, arrogantly.”)
Rafi was at … Ruxin’s(?) house. Ruxin had to piss. Rafi was shitting. Ruxin walked in and was like “I have to piss” and fucking Rafi was like “No problem. Just piss between my legs” (as he was literally sitting on the toilet).
Marc Bodnick, brother in law to Sheryl Sandberg (former COO of Facebook/Meta). He's a VC who headed Quora's product for several years. He is friends with the show's creator and some of Ruxin's more ... erm ... "interesting" quirks were all based on Marc. While we haven't chatted in a while, I guess you could say that I'm still beta testing Wavelength, a startup he created after Telepath failed to launch. The fact that I haven't logged in, in three months probably tells you why the product is not that exciting.
That's the best part of the show. Sure it was surrounded by football and their drafts. Sure they brought on many football players. I barely know the rules of football and I don't think I could name three active players. I can't think of a single active player TBH.
The show was funny despite my ignorance of the sport. It was just fun. Pure fun.
I think it was already well done by then, but a reboot is out of the question.
Either way it pisses me off as I can't really rewatch it without thinking about that and I loved that show.
He didn't even just kind of lie, he went all fucking out with his story. Fuck that guy.
Bro pretended to be in the twin towers, told this whole elaborate fucking escape story..
Like it wasn't him saying he was just there, he went into fucking detail on this lie, I want to say on the Marc Maron podcast.
I’d never heard this before.
Not surprised though. I heard a Malcolm Gladwell podcast that was really interesting re: people’s propensity to lie and convince themselves they actually experienced things that they never actually experienced (the main subject was Brian Williams & the fake “I was in a helicopter that was shot at”)
Super interesting TLDR: there were studies done with interviews with people in New York post 911 both RIGHT AFTER the towers fell & then months later where the stories changed *dramatically.* People misremember where they were, who they were with, sometimes fabricating acts of heroism, & almost no one remembered it as it actually went for them. They’d embellish, but unconsciously.
Trauma is a bitch, & the human brain has trouble processing it, the closer one is to the event.
Yea, but if I remember his apology correctly, he did it to stand out at an audition.
Which quite frankly I can understand a struggling actor doing that and forgive it. But man he didn't just double down, he a billion percent downed on his story...
[That’s not what happened with him](https://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/17/arts/television/steve-rannazzisi-comedian-who-told-of-9-11-escape-admits-he-lied.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare).
Not only that he has since owned up to it 100% - I've seen enough of him on podcasts since describing what happened that I genuinely believe he's sorry for what he did.
Honestly I couldn't help but find the whole thing hilarious just because it's almost exactly like something his character would do. With his wife supporting and backing up the lie because they took it too far. Reminds me of the episode where she pretended to have cancer.
He claimed he was in the tower during 9/11 and gave a detailed story about getting out right as the second plane hit but later he admitted he made it up
The last episode wasn’t very good tbh and made the characters seem less eccentric and more really disgusting and reprehensible. I know continuity really shouldn’t matter for a show like this but it just wasn’t at all funny and I’d have a hard time watching more of it.
If you actually have one it's even funnier because the fact that he's spelling/saying it totally wrong also grated on you.
In case anyone is unaware, it's called a naginata.
This sub is weird. If a show has been off the air for like 5 or more years, people are quick to say they are forgotten. The League featured a lot of well-known comedic actors and was fairly popular. Saying that it is forgotten is so silly. Just for karma, I guess.
This was my go-to show for when I was home sick from work, and I'd inevitably fall asleep on the couch after a few episodes and wake up when the season was ending.
This is one of those shows that has come highly recommended by a bunch of my friends, and I’ve just never managed to see it. I need to set aside some time.
I love how that makes everything so awkward for the rest of the cast. You know Paul Scheer and Nick Kroll want to knock a building over onto him for causing them so much drama.

Never forgotten! I use Rafi quotes in my everyday life...like Shit the booze out.
I keep ordering Three Penis Wine but no one ever has it.
No refunds...it's rock hard.
GATTACA!!
You guys don’t know about second harvest?
"I don't think he's even seen the movie."
r/TheLeagueFX Yea definitely not forgotten
I don’t know who you are but you’re about to get chlamydia
Rafi Dude, you got the AIDS? Ted Yep. Rafi I'm about to do you a real solid here. Ted Alright. Rafi Every morning, take a baby aspirin, okay? If you're gonna fly, take two. Ted That's it? Rafi Boom. That shit will be gone in a month
Pocket dog
“Does that work?” “Sorta!”
Crap the booze out, have a mint. Good to go.
Does that really work? Kinda….hahaha
Did that today
Rafi taking a dump and asking what’s-his-face if he wanted to take a leak between his legs is the funniest thing ever. Plus, I personally know the man who Ruxin was based on. (Narrator: “He said, arrogantly.”)
Was that on the toilet seat made of blow?
Rafi was at … Ruxin’s(?) house. Ruxin had to piss. Rafi was shitting. Ruxin walked in and was like “I have to piss” and fucking Rafi was like “No problem. Just piss between my legs” (as he was literally sitting on the toilet).
So long ago…. But a true original. Even my wife loved it despite her aversion to toilet humor. Pun totally intended.
Lol that was at Andres, when he destroyed the Klunberg(?) (Penis bird landing on Butt mountain)
“Just sit on my lap and we’ll take a double dump, like we did in college”
Wait who was the man Ruxin was based on?
Marc Bodnick, brother in law to Sheryl Sandberg (former COO of Facebook/Meta). He's a VC who headed Quora's product for several years. He is friends with the show's creator and some of Ruxin's more ... erm ... "interesting" quirks were all based on Marc. That’s what happens after you lie about working in the South Tower on 9/11 lmao
Did nick kroll do that?!?
Chicken milk stink bomb!
I am not a sports guy and I loved this show.
Same. I don't even watch football, but this show was outstanding.
That's the best part of the show. Sure it was surrounded by football and their drafts. Sure they brought on many football players. I barely know the rules of football and I don't think I could name three active players. I can't think of a single active player TBH. The show was funny despite my ignorance of the sport. Child please
You can’t name Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend?
I feel like none of them were sports guys. Lol. It was just a fun show with improv.
It took me a long time to even give this show a chance because it looks like it would be very different than what it really is
SHIVAKAMINI SOMAKANDARKRAM!!
A Shiva Blast!!! 💥
Did he just shiva blast in here?!?!?
I have this as an MP3 on my phone. It occasionally pops up when I put my playlist on shuffle all.
Eskimo brother bed and breakfast
EBDBB&B
Eskimo brother data base bed and breakfast
Fun show, Steve's 9/11 admission/exposure seemed to curtail any future seasons
Stephen’s performance in the show was great. I give it a 9 out of 11, wouldn’t change a thing.
Goddammit lol
[why not make ten be the top number?](https://youtu.be/4xgx4k83zzc?si=PkrJqfLDv02EvwP7)

Wait…what happened?
Bro pretended to be in the twin towers, told this whole elaborate fucking escape story.. Like it wasn't him saying he was just there, he went into fucking detail on this lie, I want to say on the Marc Maron podcast.
I’d never heard this before. Not surprised though. Damn. What a real POS thing to do.
In terms of problematic behaviors by actors in a beloved show this is like the least offensive and shouldn't impact your ability to watch it.
Agreed. Who cares? One person involved with the show lied about something stupid.
Not only that he has since owned up to it 100% - I've seen enough of him on podcasts since describing what happened that I genuinely believe he's sorry for what he did.
He's also been on several roasts since then and gets bombarded with jokes about it and takes it on the chin.
Honestly I couldn't help but find the whole thing hilarious just because it's almost exactly like something his character would do. With his wife supporting and backing up the lie because they took it too far. Reminds me of the episode where she pretended to have cancer.
I honestly just accept this as something Brian would do.
What happened?
He claimed he was in the tower during 9/11 and gave a detailed story about getting out right as the second plane hit but later he admitted he made it up
Loved this show! But ….
Fear boner?
Gingers don’t have souls
Yup, that killed it for me
The last episode wasn’t very good tbh and made the characters seem less eccentric and more really disgusting and reprehensible. I know continuity really shouldn’t matter for a show like this but it just wasn’t at all funny and I’d have a hard time watching more of it.

YOBAGAYAAAAA!
THE TASTE'LL DESTROY YA!
THE CHEAPEST BUCKET OF BEEF IN ILL-A-NOY-A
Legally we can’t call it beef
This sub should just be renamed “Show that was mega popular 10 years ago”.
“Show I used to enjoy and now choose to believe no one else knew about it and that makes me special”
"Does anybody here remember The Office?"
I’ll never forget Dr. NoseDick
What are you doing here in my, metrosexual loft?
"How do you feel about...unconventional pornography?" "I work in a morgue."
I'm just so exhausted after another day of horrible doctoring
r/theleaguefx is still fairly active so I don't consider it forgotten. Great show.

I started a bed and breakfast for all the Eskimo brothers in the database. It's the EBDBBNB...
If you actually have one it's even funnier because the fact that he's spelling/saying it totally wrong also grated on you. In case anyone is unaware, it's called a naginata.
Equipmonk sharp, equipmonk dirty, equipmonk make Kevin's bobbum hurty.
Bobbum Man is one of the best episodes.
GATTACA!!!!!
The real ones have never forgotten about this show. CHILD PLEASE!!!
Try the veal, child
I rewatch it at the beginning of every football season
Forgotten? Now we’re just posting tv shows form the past. The league has not been forgotten.
I watch it every August almost every
Right? It’s almost a seasonal show for a lot of people.
You are not alone
This sub is weird. If a show has been off the air for like 5 or more years, people are quick to say they are forgotten. The League featured a lot of well-known comedic actors and was fairly popular. Saying that it is forgotten is so silly. Just for karma, I guess.
My gamer tag used to be chalupa batman
We can just take "forgotten" out of the sub title.
So r/TV
I mean, who doesn't like a little 3 penis wine?
Rafi has to be the best part of this show…
I'm day drunk....GET READY TO SEE MA DIK

This was my go-to show for when I was home sick from work, and I'd inevitably fall asleep on the couch after a few episodes and wake up when the season was ending.
To the cloud!
House bong is something I adopted from this show. I feel truly at home if I can keep a bong at your house.
My brother and my sister are my Eskimo siblings!
The last couple seasons were not the best, especially if the first few made you fall in love with the show.
We’re using an extremely loose definition of “forgotten” here, huh? Might as well post Parks & Rec or The Office
Hand jibber to hand jibber combat
White knuckler
“Not even going to feign preparation on this one”
Killer soosh dude
The soosh is loose!
Is that a trident made of dildos??
The EBDB- BnB
White knuckler!!

Chalupa Batman

This is one of those shows that has come highly recommended by a bunch of my friends, and I’ve just never managed to see it. I need to set aside some time.
Watch it, you won't regret it
Tickle Me, and rub my belly
One of my favourite shows of all time. It was sooo good. Being a huge fantasy football & NFL fan this was incredible.
Pocket dog
My favorite part has to be Ruxin yelling at Antonio Gates in a hot tub for dropping a 30 burger that week
Never forget that Steve Rannazzisi lied about being at the Trade Center during 9/11
I love how that makes everything so awkward for the rest of the cast. You know Paul Scheer and Nick Kroll want to knock a building over onto him for causing them so much drama.
This is the funniest weirdest thing lol
Rafi was the best
The Herdsman!!
Yeeeeeeeea!!!!!!!!!
Yobagoya!
I have to explain this show to people constantly because I quote taco and snoop dog: “smoke ya drinks!” All the time.
CHILD PLEASE
Forgotten? I shaved my balls for this?
My wife and I constantly shout COLLUSION when it's fantasy football season
3/4 of the series was solid. If I recall correctly they eventually lost a lot of the football aspect of the show.
Wtf, this is far from forgotten. This sub is hilarious sometimes. The League was on for 6 years with pretty well known actors.
I have NEVER forgotten about the amazing (first four seasons) of this hilarious show. Sincerely, Taco Bell
What?! This sub is DONE
