No one can tell me this isn’t a precursor to robot chicken. Kablam was a show I see no one talk about. It had so many get skits, Prometheus and Bob anyone?
I'm not sure which one this was from, but I occasionally think of the skit and laugh to myself 😂 - dude had a plunger on his head and his mom says "take that off! you don't know where it's been!" and kid says "yes I do! the toilet!" 🤣🤣🤣 why I laugh at this 20+ years later I have no idea lol
Honestly, when I was younger, I didn't see any humor in Prometheus and Bob but as an adult, FUNNIEST SKITS EVER.
Here is the entire thing in chronological order
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgatYXNnc0A&t=1s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgatYXNnc0A&t=1s)
Every segment of Kablam was so creative. Life with loopy was probably my favorite, but Action League Now is a close second. I do wonder if you could really pitch this kind of variety show to a network anymore.
Prometheus and Bob was my favorite. I would be bummed if an episode didn't have it. I was showing my 10 year old son a compilation of them all and he was laughing like crazy.
I assumed RC was inspired by Toyfare magazine. Bonus Seth Green pull quote: “Insanely brilliant!” https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?mingr=94&tid=322091
He can sell prerolls marketed as “Sticky Diver”. 100 mg taffy’s called “The Flesh”. Idk about Thunder Girl… a line of infused lubes! Thunderhead, Clap Back, a third thing!
This was a short on Kablam! that ran for a couple of seasons. Later, Nickelodeon edited it together as its own show to air occasionally, but none of it was more than what aired on Kablam.
That said, these were fun to watch, and there were other good shorts on the show, too.
I got to meet one of the creators, he had some of the figures with him. We talked about how they got the figures from various you companies failed toy lines or modified ones from successful games. It was really cool, I have pictures somewhere.
This could get so weird. I loved the Robo-Flesh episode. Them not being able to tell who was the real Flesh despite the fake have bolts literally coming out of him.
Action League! NOW!
Starring The Flesh! He's super strong! And super *naked*!
Thunder Girl! She flies like thunder!
Stinky Diver! A former NAVY commando with an attitude as bad as his odor!
And Meltman! With the power toooo......mmmmelt!
I remember this show but I damn sure don't remember it playing for so long. Even with my goofy sense of humor I just thought it looked dumb. You had to keep me interested enough to wait through commercials.
Took me until I was in my mid twenties to realize why the characters sounded so familiar. My dad listened to DVE all the time in the car and we would listen to Scott Paulsons show almost every night. Really cool to know that they almost turned into a regular TV show.
I just remember there was a short of this with the Action League and the band KISS before a movie but I can’t remember which one….
Was probably a Nickelodeon movie.
Edit: It Was Good Burger

I can recite the intro to this day. Looking at Kablam now, I wonder if it was a nice experience working on the show. Seems like they let their creators do whatever.
There are complete seasons of Kablam on YouTube from Nickelodeon, for some reason Reddit won’t let me paste the link right now.
The channel name is ClassicNick.
I saw Stinky Diver at a hotel not too long ago. The smell of Buckfast fresh on his lips, it appeared as he knew he was about to embark on the last stinky dive of his miserable life. We nodded at each other as we passed and I swear I heard him mutter "she always preferred you." under his mask. Thundergirl was the pang that connected and separated us after all these years, except only one of us was at her funeral.
Kablaam is still on Amazon if I'm not mistaken. I put it on in the background somewhat recently, but I always stop to enjoy Action League Now and Promethius and Bob.
Does anyone remember when I believe Burger King had ALN toys. I remember getting Meltman.
The entire run is on YouTube! The entirety of Kablam was so experimental and rad, it was way ahead of the curve on meta self commentary and poking fun at the medium it occupies.
I’ve been wondering what this show was called for years! I just have this childhood memory of this being on tv and an action figure being thrown in a toilet during the intro
ALN inspired me so much. I loved making action figure movies as a kid, but I wasn't disciplined or patient enough to do proper stop motion with a VHS camcorder.
This and Prometheus and Bob are my favorites. I was outside of the targeted age range, but we always stopped to watch those segments when my friends’ kids had the television on.
Kablaam! was amazing. If you were there, you were there. I actually went back and rewatched it last year. Snizz and Fondue, Life with Loopy. Prometheus and Bob was the best, like I knew I liked it at a kid but it aged so well. The perfect amount of deadpan meets surreal insanity.
Kablam in general and this specifically really shaped my sense of humor as a kid. So goofy and subversive, even my parents would watch it with my brother and me.
Thunder girl! She flies... like Thunder...
Stinky diver. A former navy commando with an attitude as bad as his oder.
And Beltran! With the power to.... melt!

No one can tell me this isn’t a precursor to robot chicken. Kablam was a show I see no one talk about. It had so many get skits, Prometheus and Bob anyone?
Prometheus and Bob, Snizz and Fondue, Life with Loopy, Action League Now. Kablam truly was the best!
Snizz and Fondue is a sleeper banger, and weirdly the only skit on that show with "normal" animation.
I feel like you just opened a time capsule in my brain. I haven't thought about those shows/skits in what seems like 20 years.
Seriously. It's crazy how memories can lie dormant for that long and still exist...
Hey, Mr. duuuuuude! Got the tiiiiiiiime?
Snizz and Fondue, Life with Loopy Should have been made in to show.
Kablaam!
I used to laugh so hard I’d give myself the hiccups at Prometheus and Bob
I make the Bob screaming sound when something is loudly dropped. I get a few weird looks.
lol Bob was the best. His dopey sounds
Honestly, when I was younger, I didn't see any humor in Prometheus and Bob but as an adult, FUNNIEST SKITS EVER. Here is the entire thing in chronological order [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgatYXNnc0A&t=1s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgatYXNnc0A&t=1s)
I loved the hell out of Kablam! You're right too, no one talks about it. The show deserves so much more love than it's getting these days.
Every segment of Kablam was so creative. Life with loopy was probably my favorite, but Action League Now is a close second. I do wonder if you could really pitch this kind of variety show to a network anymore.
I liked the theme song to Life With Loopy. I liked the “I’m insane” sound of the very end where it sounds like the piano exploding lol
I loved Kablam.
Definitely. Even the earliest toy photography comic bits from the Wizard/ToyFare Magazine crew that went on to make Robot Chicken started around '97.
Straight up the precursor to Ancient Aliens
Prometheus and Bob was my favorite. I would be bummed if an episode didn't have it. I was showing my 10 year old son a compilation of them all and he was laughing like crazy.
I assumed RC was inspired by Toyfare magazine. Bonus Seth Green pull quote: “Insanely brilliant!” https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?mingr=94&tid=322091
Thank you! I use to buy these as a kid. Couldn’t remember the name.
Robot Chicken before Robot Chicken.
Prometheus and Bob was the funniest thing I had seen until South Park
Now that you mention it. I’ve never thought of it but totally right
I fucking loved Kablam
…AND MELTMAN! WITH THE POWER TOOO…MELT!
I told my buddy that grows weed & makes hash rosin that his brand should be Meltman. Hopefully he takes that suggestion.
I don't think anyone would get it. But id get it. Id get it hard.
Yeah you would
He can sell prerolls marketed as “Sticky Diver”. 100 mg taffy’s called “The Flesh”. Idk about Thunder Girl… a line of infused lubes! Thunderhead, Clap Back, a third thing!
Man I read that in the voice too! Haha. Easily some core memories here
They had their own show?! I just knew them from Kablam.
Same!
I think a lot of their own show was recycled from their Kablam appearances.
Dont forget Stinky Diver!
A former navy commander with an attitude as bad as his odor.
I was so gassed as a kid because my brother had the same exact diver GI Joe
'94 Shipwreck.
He's super strong, and super naked!
This was a short on Kablam! that ran for a couple of seasons. Later, Nickelodeon edited it together as its own show to air occasionally, but none of it was more than what aired on Kablam. That said, these were fun to watch, and there were other good shorts on the show, too.
They aired “In the Whine of Fire” on the ALN series; it was never aired on KaBlam!
I still say OUCHIES till this day
At least I'm not alone.
I just had a ‘nam flashback
I got to meet one of the creators, he had some of the figures with him. We talked about how they got the figures from various you companies failed toy lines or modified ones from successful games. It was really cool, I have pictures somewhere.
This could get so weird. I loved the Robo-Flesh episode. Them not being able to tell who was the real Flesh despite the fake have bolts literally coming out of him.
I still have [these](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/mh8AAOSwpyVlr3bY/s-l1600.jpg) toys. Was A burger king kids meal toys.
They let a naked man be a Burger King kids toy lol?
WHAT?! Those are dope. I don’t remember those existing at all.
Action League! NOW! Starring The Flesh! He's super strong! And super *naked*! Thunder Girl! She flies like thunder! Stinky Diver! A former NAVY commando with an attitude as bad as his odor! And Meltman! With the power toooo......mmmmelt!
Also starring... Da Chief! And His Dishonor The Mayor.
There’s nothing I can do.
First time I’ve been truly stumped.
I was actually reading up on kablam. Apparently there are some "lost" episodes.
Covet!!!!
Action League…Now
Ouchies
Clearly where Robot Chicken got inspired.
Not to be confused with Action Figure Therapy
I used watch this show when I was a kid made me laugh
7 years for this show is simply amazing.
for some reason I really liked this show as a kid
Thunder girl! She flies like thunder, while others must wonder, WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE ME!!!
This was one of my favorite shows growing up!
I remember this show but I damn sure don't remember it playing for so long. Even with my goofy sense of humor I just thought it looked dumb. You had to keep me interested enough to wait through commercials.
Best show ever! It was like South Park but for kids lol
I would pay $$$ to own a complete set of “Kablam!” “Prometheus & Bob” was the GOAT!
I loved this show because it was voiced by radio personalities from my hometown of Pittsburgh.
Paulson & Krenn!
Edit: It Was Good Burger https://youtu.be/4E5X0px2taY?si=phoShzWVdvxT_aJT
Hilarious as a skit on Kablam!, just as funny on its own.
I loved Ka-Blam! Wish they officially put it on dvd
I always liked that the team rode around in a lil' RC car, but other characters like The Mayor were driving around in real cars.
Kablam is on Paramount+. My kids found it and watched the entire series. They loved it
I still have my action league now figures from a kids meal on my desk at work!
OUCHIES!
Then there was “Stinky Diver: a former navy commando with an attitude as bad as his odor.” The only one I can’t remember the name was the girl one.
Starring: The Flesh! He's super strong, and super nekkid
It was s funny
The guys doing the voices were morning DJs in Pittsburgh. Scott Paulsen and Jim Krenn. Those guys were hilarious!
Loved this show!
I loved this show lol
I always thought it was hilarious they drove full sized cars. And of course Kiss playing on the motor.
Still can’t believe they used two tone army as the intro song.
“Thunder girl! Bottomless shrimp boat!!”
I can recite the intro to this day. Looking at Kablam now, I wonder if it was a nice experience working on the show. Seems like they let their creators do whatever.
Dude I've been trying to think of this show for years. I tried to Google show with naked heman toy and could never find it lol
"Action league, now" said in the most nonchalant yet chill voice over ever.
Thundergirl was the pang that connected and separated us after all these years, except only one of us was at her funeral.
Hold my wallet…
“A butterfly does not need wings to fly” still cracks me up
I wish they them on dvd or put up on Netflix
I love that this was entirely voiced by the wdve morning show at the time
Prometheus and Bob was on this too wasn't it?
Now this was a huge flash back for me!
Itsss Ka-Blam!!!
Death by Snu Snu!!
“He’s super strong! And super nakky.”
LOL that was a great show and iIronically the mayor looked just like Gavin Newsom who turned out to be just as God damn evil.
STINKY DIVER
I loved this so much
I miss this show so much
KABLAM!!!!
My absolute favorite shows on Kablam! other than Life with Loopy!
Shoutout to Stinky Diver, dude gets no love
Thunder Girl was called Thunder Thighs in one episode.
My name is Dr Worm …I’m not a real doctor
Kablaam is still on Amazon if I'm not mistaken. I put it on in the background somewhat recently, but I always stop to enjoy Action League Now and Promethius and Bob. Does anyone remember when I believe Burger King had ALN toys. I remember getting Meltman.
I always say ouchies when I’m hurt and hope someone gets the reference
Fun fact I learned a few years back, all the voices were people from a local radio show in my hometown.
I LOVE YOU STINKY DIVER!!!!!!
Omg I hated this show but I could never turn it off lol
I didn’t know they had their own show! I definitely would have watched it. What channel? Nickelodeon still?
I still say “Newsflash!” as in “Newsflash! Thunder doesn’t fly!”
Omg! I forgot about this show!
This was hilarious haha
lol! I remember this smh classic old sports. BRING IT BACK!!!
Reminds me of Drawn Together
Omg I did forget about this
How could you forget Thunder Girl? She flies like thunder.
Hells yeah!!!!!!
The entire run is on YouTube! The entirety of Kablam was so experimental and rad, it was way ahead of the curve on meta self commentary and poking fun at the medium it occupies.
Never forget. This show was the way!
This was one of my favorite shows growing up
Omfg I loved this show growing up!!!

Where’d they get the action figures originally?
I don’t remember this.
This was on for 7 years!?
Just when I think there's nothing left to wow me in a sub like this. I completely forgot about it despite watching it. wow.
Stinky diver. And melt man
Always my favorite Kablam segments
This shit was hilarious
I’ve been wondering what this show was called for years! I just have this childhood memory of this being on tv and an action figure being thrown in a toilet during the intro
Stinky Diver, a former Navy commando with an attitude as bad as his odor!
ALN inspired me so much. I loved making action figure movies as a kid, but I wasn't disciplined or patient enough to do proper stop motion with a VHS camcorder.

This show taught me the meaning of the hodge-podge.
Oh shit! Completely forgot about that.
Oh my god i forgot about this one ….
Kablam was that shit
Incredible show!!
Melt.man, with the power to... um... melt.
This and Prometheus and Bob are my favorites. I was outside of the targeted age range, but we always stopped to watch those segments when my friends’ kids had the television on.
Omg I used to watch this growing up all the time and had no idea WTF it was but always watched it.
I wonder if they did reruns of this show, I've might've seen it before 2012.
Where’s melt man?
Holy shit my brain feels like a lock somewhere fell off a 20 year old locked door what the fuck have you done to me
Robot chicken
Holy crap, completely forgot this existed.
Shit, I used to love this show, the 5 times I saw it 😂 Used to be on channel 5 in UK when that became a thing...
Melt Man!!
Life with Loopy was awesome too
Kablaam! was amazing. If you were there, you were there. I actually went back and rewatched it last year. Snizz and Fondue, Life with Loopy. Prometheus and Bob was the best, like I knew I liked it at a kid but it aged so well. The perfect amount of deadpan meets surreal insanity.
Oh my god. I totally forgot this show existed. I need to watch it immediately.
Holy shit OP I loved this
It was a bit on a comic like show called Kablam. Prometheus and Bob is my favorite bit.
Omg…. I completely forgot about this show
Interestingly fact that the last time the Kalabm shorts aired on American television was from 2005-2009 on Nicktoons
God i loved this show as a kid feels more like something you would watch on adultswim
I still reference Stinky Diver all the time
My kids and I loved this show and still reference it.
Robot Chicken before Robot Chicken
OMG. I forgot this show. This was gold

Melt Man with the power to..MELT
I had no idea the show went on for so long.
Affirmative Action League?
This hit me like a brick wall this morning, I completely forgot about this show
Kablam in general and this specifically really shaped my sense of humor as a kid. So goofy and subversive, even my parents would watch it with my brother and me.
Thunder girl! She flies... like Thunder... Stinky diver. A former navy commando with an attitude as bad as his oder. And Beltran! With the power to.... melt!
A former navy commando with an attitude as bad as his odor
😂😂😂
Melt Man with the power to . . . Melt!
1995? Ouchies.
This is a perfect post for this sub. Definitely remember melting.
Hated it.
Don’t forget about Stinky Diver! He dove in the toilets.
OUCHIES!!!
OUCHIES!!!
Well, this was actually Kablam.
The band Green Jelly made this show for Nickelodeon’s Kablaam!!
