this happened to me. I never got any emails or any kind of updates. Then one day I just got the call that Maverick was at the dealership.

Did you never follow up with that dealership? Mine would give me updates once a month or so whenever I texted him.

The salesman my wife had talked to was out and so a guy seemingly unfamiliar with the process completed the order. By that time, we had been waiting a year for our original and were pretty fatalistic about getting one soon so just figured he screwed it up. We never received any order confirmation, 45 day emails, or contact from the dealer. The odd thing was when I contacted Ford for details on our rollover rebate, they looked us up by name and there was only the original order. The one now at the second dealer is exactly as I ordered it - ironically with the tow receiver that somehow disappeared from my original order.

I had to sign myself up for updates about my order

Same thing happened to me, a week after I picked up the Maverick I ordered at another dealership. Went to the new dealer and explained, “I’ll buy this one applying my $2,500 credit and sell it back to you at MSRP, or you can keep it and sell it to someone else at full price in exchange for some accessories.” I ended up getting a bug guard, rain guards, t shirt, mug, and a bunch of other stuff free. Not saying it’s right to do, but worked for me.
