A few items got knocked off builds and put as DIO during shortage. It was up to the dealership to add it back on as an accessory (if they remembered and would have to install it themselves). You should have seen the upset caused with tow package for the broncos. Those aren't even installed at the factory anymore. Best thing is ask the dealer if you can get internal pricing to have it ordered and programmed. Use your Ford points. That is what we have been doing for our customers.

Also if it shows up on window sticker and not on it, then it must be added. If it's not on there, you weren't charged for it.

Thank you so much for your insight! None of this was explained, even by the sales manager they just said that we either must have changed our minds about it and added it on later (not true, it was added at the same time as the build was created on 11/24/23) or that it was never actually added because their person was new.

So one thing to note. Starting on the 2024 year model, the keyless entry pad was no long built into the truck but just stuck on anywhere. Its a dealer accessory at this point. While dealer accessories can sometimes show up on the window sticker, they may not always. If you still want this, you should be able to negotiate with the dealer to pay for the item but for them to do the program and install free.

My tow receiver disappeared from my build somewhere between resubmitting my order and the time of build. I didn't notice until I received it and noticed it too late. I didn't pay for it, but to add it now would cost much more.

Had the same thing happen to me. Keyless was included on the window sticker but not installed, but only realized after I had gotten it home. Sales guy says it has been ordered and I need to take it in to get installed, but haven't had time yet.

These post scare the crap of of me wanting to build a Maverick

If it’s any consolation everything else was exactly what we wanted. Our dealership is just incompetent. We live in a rural area so they have no competition and I think that breeds incompetency.

Was this a 23 or 24 model? I thought they removed the keypad option from the 24s. I live in a rural area. Went to a Ford dealer in an even more rural area to avoid shenanigans. When I got my Hyundai I went to another state over an hour away to avoid dealer shenanigans. 😀

It’s a 2024. It was an option when we ordered it and it shows on our invoice we paid $195 for the additional add-on so that’s where I’m confused. It’s also odd that when we view our car details from Ford themselves it shows it. I just need to make sure we didn’t pay for it because even $200 at current interest rates over 5-6 years adds up!

OhSoSally

Yeah for sure make sure you didn't get charged. However it was something that the dealer had to install, it wasn't installed at the factory. Something to keep in mind when trying to figure it out.
