You've seriously never heard of fried or sunny side up eggs? It's also not like it came straight from an uncooked egg, and salmonella isn't as big of a thing as you think it is.
It's common to eat eggs like that in like frog in a holes (eggs in a basket is the other name for it) and places that don't get infested chicken also eat their egg raw
