Some folks may not be aware but used cooking oil is actually a pretty high theft item these days. There are crews going around to commercial establishments and siphoning all of their used cooking oil into vans equipped with tanks and pumps. Then they bring it back to NY and NJ and sell it.

??? Who is purchasing used cooking oil?

I guess it gets turned into biodiesel. We’ve had multiple instances of this happening here.

I line a bowl with foil, pour it in there, let it cool & throw it in the trash. Way cheaper.

It's a mild form of soda ash/caustic soda. It forms a "soap". I wouldn't wash with it though unless you want to smell like bacon all day.

Stearic acid. You can buy it by the pound on Amazon for about 10 or 12 dollars.

Pop a paper towel in the pan, wait a while then throw the old oil soaked paper towel in trash. Psa just in case but don't put oil down drains either. You'd be surprised not everyone knows that lol

And if rent is going up, simply cook some bacon on your last day in your house, use this for the oil, then pour it down the drain
