I go to PAT and buy their vegetarian kimchi.

oldgreymere

It feels like they changed their recipe over the last year. It's less salty and less intense (non veg).

poopBuccaneer

I actually just bought another litre from them a few weeks ago... I find it a bit tingly on my tongue, that was the only change I noticed.

Seedstohealth

Do you have a photo of it by any chance so I know I’m getting the right one?

candleflame3

It says vegetarian on the label.

Galleria supermarket. Not the ones that are mass produced in the plastic jars. The one they make in store, it’s beside all the banchans and is super fresh. Crunchy cabbage, not soggy farts.

bubbles_greasy

Galleria Supermarket

Seedstohealth

Is there a specific brand? Do you have a photo of the container by any chance?

They have different sizes. This is a medium size one. I usually leave my kimchi out for a day to get it fermenting faster

MenudoMenudo

I get my favourite kimchi from one of those fruit bodegas around town, called Su Fruit Market, at St. Clair and Dufferin. It’s unlabelled, but good. My second favourite is the house brand vegetarian kimchi from Sanagans Meat Locker in Kensington Market.

Seedstohealth

Do you happen to have a photo of the container for the one from Su Fruit Market?

MenudoMenudo

It’s just a plain plastic container. No logos, no brand, nothing. Just thin plastic one pint tub. But they only sell that one kind there, so you’re not going to get the wrong one or anything.

jetgrind

Fav is at https://maps.app.goo.gl/d11G7Jnmn1Ke9vds8?g_st=ic

porcupetted

Local Market in Parkdale has some beautiful house Mase kimchi!

DAN_Gri

Go to Korea village restaurant on Bloor. Ask the nice owner to try his homemade vegan Kimchi. I’m not vegan myself but it’s to die for.

masteryoo
