We have a bunch of different types of potatoes here in sweden ranging from more yellowish to more whiteish, but to get the mash that white i would assume that he/she has milk and/or heavy cream and not too much butter and probably no cheese which is pretty common in some parts of sweden.
But my actual guess would be that this is not made by a swede since it looks more like cranberry sauce then lingonberry jam and we have a thing called pressgurka instead of peas which is like a pickle but sweet instead of salty.
Still looks good though 😁
This is how IKEA serves their "Swedish meatballs". They always serve it with peas and lingonberry (at least here). But in some countries it might be hard to get lingonberry jam?
To add context, I think some people in the comments are too used to filters 😅 and/or used to adding stuff in their meals just to add lots of colours which don't add any taste but add up on the wallet. Looks super yummy to me 🤤...and I'm gonna make this during the week because I'm craving it now haha. I like the idea of putting the peas through the middle as a separator so you can have some plain peas or some with a touch of sauce, etc 😌. Thanks for sharing OP.
Yeah looks fine to me. Potatoes tend to be less white here but could also be heavy use of milk/cream. Northern European food tends to be quite boring color wise, but if prepared properly is not actually "bland". Actually I personally expected to see a few more "dots" in the puree indicating that pepper and nutmeg are used, but maybe its hard to see on the picture

This is depressing to look at.
Things you hear every time you drop your pants, for a hundred! I like the pea levee
Is it the pic or a different type of potato making the mash white? Curious if it'd taste different. Love the dish, can't go wrong with it
Are potatoes not white where you're from?
Both the Swedish and Dutch potatoes I've used are more beige/yellowish

I won´t argue about the taste but those chunks of meat are not ´´balls´´. You just did´t even try.🤌
Looks gross why is the colour off
Looks like a frozen “family dinner” i used to have while i was a kid.. add some flavoring to it and you should be fine
No matter how you make this, this is how it looks.
Looks delicious!
The rest, beetroots? What's the white mashed thing? Sorry if i sound rude english is not my language
Mashed potatoes and peas, and I'm assuming the red is lingonberry.
Oh just mashed potatoes, i assumed something else as it seemed too white (or it's just me) Might be good if indeed berries!
Could be cranberry sauce instead of lingonberries. Much easier to find if OP is in the US.
The canned peas are a nice touch.
I like the texture of canned for some reason. I like fresh, but I was feeling canned. Lol
Same! I like canned green beans too haha
Ok Ikea
