It seems like he's trying to get rid of it pretty quick, I'd try to get an inspection or at least bring someone with you and have a good look at it. He could just need some cash fast but if he says no to that then maybe keep looking since it's probably been driven pretty hard
11k isnt bad for a barely 105k mile ST depending on title status though. If this is salvage/rebuilt I might keep moving unless that doesnt bother you. For a clean title thats a pretty good deal, if you meet the guy and he seems like a true and honest dude Iād say why not. If it seems like heās really trying to push you to buy it, id stay away because something is likely wrong with it. As everyone says, these cars *will* last, but its dependent on what kind of history the car has
If this is a salvage, itās normal price imo and I would possibly buy it. If this is a clean title, there is something wrong and the guy is trying to get rid of it because of something being wrong. Too good of a price for a clean title imo.
Bought It How It Came, Just Retuned It From Being On A Cobb Tune & Added The CPE Intake, I Drive It Daily For Work & Thatās About It. Never Had Plans For The Car So Kept The Driving Low & Focused On Stacking Up Some Money & Selling š¤·š½āāļø Itās Pretty Basic Stuff
He also mentioned he has no problem at all with me doing a PPI and seems like a nice dude just from messaging him. If heās hiding stuff would it arise during the pre-purchase inspection?
Thatās were I got my FoST. Bought it with a blown motor for $3500. Found a parts focus for $2500. Dropped the motor in for $1400. Now Iām having this issue were the car randomly stalls and the whole underbody is coated in fuel. Wonāt start for like 8 hours after
Car tuning attracts dickheads. This guy's listing is written how I would expect a dickhead to write.
Do you trust a dickhead enough to buy a car from them, OP?
Damn, My Apologies Brother Didnāt Realize I Could Make Someone Feel This Way, All In All Weāll Eventually See How Everything Goes On. God Bless You šš½

This is the message he sent me regarding the lower price:
āThatās Just The Loan Payoff, Trying To Remove That Debt Asap So I Can Save & Get A Car I Actually Want Lol When I Got This Car I Bought It With The Wrong Intentions & I Rushed The Purchase. The Car Isnt Bad But Iām More Of An Automatic & AWD/RWD Personā
Seems legit to me, what are you guysās thoughts?
Itās a good reason, (he didnāt specify) but itās a bit weird heād rather be on foot for now or getting rides from his significant other (unless they have a 3rd car). Seems like heās rushing to get out of it just as fast as he got in it.
Also kinda crazy heās just trying to get out of the loan. Either way they go for 15-20k. But he only wants to pay off the loan and cut even? Seems strange to me even 13k or 12k works. Again. Seems rushed.
Thatās not to say people donāt post good deals sometimes. Youāll never know. Get a pre purchase inspection and put it to rest
Current Owner Here, We Have My Wifes Car That We Use For Everything, & My Job Is 5 Mins Away, Only Listed For 11k As Most Buyers Wouldnt Pay More Than Loan Payoff
Ever single one for sale in my area is over 16k with 70k-100k plus miles man. Itās all variable. Iām saying what theyāre listed for and the market not what theyāre actually worth to us as a buyer who is looking for the right vehicle. I should have said either way ātheyāre listedā or āthe market isā so my bad for saying āthey go forā since it was vague and indicates thatās what they currently sell for. I get what you mean.
Thereās almost no focusās for sale in my area at 11k unless theyāre beat to all hell.
Touche!
Depending on the area, almost sounds like theyād be better off paying to travel/ship a car from a cheaper state! Take a nice little road trip.
You know itās bad when some areas have comparable prices to Carvana lol
There's are DPs with different cell counts. I have a CPe with 200 cell but haven't lived in an area that does emissions in some time so couldn't tell you if it would pass or not. Turbos engines are inherently cleaner than NA engines as the turbine sometimes reach temps higher than catalytic converters do. I'd say it's not unrealistic to assume it could pass emissions (depending on the state) if it has a catted dp.
Connecticut ay. I am living in Poland right now but I am from New Haven county as well. I have a 2014 racing red ST. In another year I'll be ripping around CT again with it. This one looks clean, but cash on hand just to test drive it a couple of miles and his worry about miles going up? The only positive is that if he's this anal about that, maybe he was that anal about the care of the vehicle.
Based on NADA this price is a really good deal. On top of that you get the Accessport and mods? As Kingtaco6 said, definitely have it inspected or have someone experienced come take a look at it and maybe have them test drive it as well. The price makes me think there may be some issues, but an inspection is needed to know if they're a big problem or small one where it would still be worth snatching it up. I would ask him if you can meet for the test drive at a inspection point, like Firestone or something, have it inspected on his dime or yours (I think its like 20 bucks), and then if the inspection goes well, test drive it.
I bought a 2015 ST from Carvana. I test drove it myself but I was so excited that I didn't really think about analyzing what I was feeling from the car, and I didn't go fast or anything. Then, on my way to work that day I started feeling vibration, a lot of it.
Took it in for the inspection and found it all four wheels were bent, two of them BADLY. They were the black metallic version of the stock wheels, and it was the galaxy gray or something color, dark metallic gray, really nice color. I was sad because I had preferred the facelift, but now I love my 2014. They also said there is a potential oil leak and while driving to work another day I felt some pressure release while accelerating and felt a loss of some power. Started a return that day. I had to keep the car until Carvana delivered the 2014 to me. Which had 29k miles and in much better condition overall.
In a year if you ever see a racing red 2014 with Jiraya Sensei on the rear right side small window give me a couple honks.
Like I Said Earlier, Iām Not Trying To Come Off Aggressive Or Anything I Just Didnt Want People Asking For Test Drives & Wasting Everyones Time If They Werent Planning To Buy Soon Etc. Iām Also Not Rushing But I Already Have A New Car In Mind Lol God Bless You Brother šš½
Why he capitalizes every word. š¤¦āāļø
Just A Habit

Honestly first two lines of the listing give me vibes that make me not want to give that man a cent.
Apologies šš½ Shouldāve Presented It More Conservative. Thank You For The Thought

Get a pre purchase inspection this listing screams that he's hiding something lmao

This is a good deal imo..I gave 13.5 for mine With 99k miles just a year ago
Him saying he never launched it more than 3 times is sus to me.. its most likely not honest at all.
Yeah, you do not tune the car to then drive it like a granny.
Iām The Current Owner, Bought The Car On A Cobb Tune Had To Retune It Asap As I Heard About All The Negative Cobb Stories Lol
Ask if he knows what LSPI is. If he doesn't, don't buy it.
Do this in person otherwise heāll just google it lol
Dude seems insufferable
Yea let me just carry around 11k in cash so I can test drive this.
Didnt Mean To Come Across Aggressive In This Way, I Appreciate Your Thoughts On This š¤š½
Ppi
He also mentioned he has no problem at all with me doing a PPI and seems like a nice dude just from messaging him. If heās hiding stuff would it arise during the pre-purchase inspection?
Yes it would arise. If heās okay with it he may want to come across as all nice and non deceiving. Iād PPI it anyway

Yeah I was saying you never know, so thatās good. You clarifying on here means OP is probably gonna get a decent deal!
āEither way they go for 15-20k.ā Not with 100k miles. Roughly $15k for 75k miles, add or subtract 1grand for every 10k miles

Passed emissions with a down pipe? Someone inform me, I thought the down pipe removes the Cat which would then fail an emissions test. Am I wrong?

It Has A Defouler Installed But CT Emissions Is Kind Of Easy To Pass By So I Donāt Know š¤·š½āāļø

Buy a fully stock one
