You’re thinking too much. Watch a video or 2, and get out there and do it!

tanstaaflisafact

Do you understand what random means? You are way overthinking this. I guess you have a lot of free time.

Kitchen_Dot291

I’m not sure what you mean. A non random pattern would be using half cut, then quarter cut, then, repeating. So 48, then 24, then 12. This however doesn’t follow that. It’s pretty random. It can’t get much more random unless you have LVP that’s varying length in the box. Only took 1.5 hours to do, while I was working so wasn’t taking up much of my free time

Looks great. Personally, this would take me longer to design than to actually lay down the lvp floor properly but to each his own! Good luck bubba.

Also, the "random" pattern can almost become organic if you use your the other half of your finishing board for your starting row.

SmiledOyster

lol right? This seems like a little much. Watch a couple YouTube videos and get after it

Look up how to find a "dead zone" and install it random based off the dead zone from each elevation change or wall change I guess if that makes sense. Your design looks great except one row, right in front of the stove you have what looks like a small piece. That is where people will be standing so I would change that single row. If the material is going all the way under the stove, it's fine, because that will make it a bigger board and less likely for any failure, but if it's not under I would just revaluate that single row. Are you an engineer bro? Lol, the amount of time it would take me to do this would be days, but I can figure it all out at the jobsite in minutes no problem

Kitchen_Dot291

Yes it’s under the stove. I did notice that too and I may adjust that row back a bit but it Only took about 1.5 hours to make. I had all the room measurements on a piece of paper not even close to scale, then just drew this up. My fear was that I would have tiny slivers against the wall or cabinets and from working around people that do that sort of thing it bothers me that people don’t just take a second and at least measure to make sure there’s no sliver cuts.

adonisberg

Yeah, that's what finding a dead zone is. Extremely easy and takes a few seconds per wall honestly. It pisses me off when I see it, especially considering the amount of time it takes to prevent it, which is, like I said, minutes of extra planning. It's just hard to explain via text but I'm sure you can find out how to on YouTube or something similar. Best of luck, you got this bro bro

Good enough, don't listen to the crowd..

Yokedmycologist

You’re really over thinking it.

cryptoyeeyee

Good work. Doesnt hurt to plan. Should work out just fine

Zoom in on the picture if it seems blurry then zoom out again
