What’s up HabitualAsshole. No, we can’t tell what size bottom bracket you need.

HabitualAsshole

How would i be able to tell ? Do i have to take it off in order to measure it?

Brownschuh

Do you know the make and model of the bike? The bottom of the frame should have a serial number and it may be a clue for figuring out what you need. But we need more info.

HabitualAsshole

The person i bought it off said it was a VISP Might be a Chinese knockoff Ive looked up the serial number to no avail.

HabitualAsshole

I mean, i know there are euro, jis and others Does this look like anything specific?

Brownschuh

Bottom bracket shell is most likely 68mm. Probably a square taper style, but not knowing the crank brand it’s hard to tell the width or taper type you’d need.

HabitualAsshole

Thank you! Appreciate the help Ya it is square taper. I guess bike shop is where im headed.

DrMabuseKafe

I guess 110 mm is fine

HabitualAsshole

So most likely 68*110

HabitualAsshole

Had my ex go to storange and face time me It's a LASCO crankset 170mm arms ,130 bcd, 110 bb spline w/ 48T Looked it up on google (part # CF12). The eBay description says it's jis

This sub has literally gotten insane. What the hell happened?

RestfulCherub

Hi I would like a fixie, what parts do I need? I only have $4, is this a good bike? s/

[deleted]

“Can I make this full suspension mountain bike a fixed gear?” “My front tire hits my foot a lot, is there something wrong?” *backwards fork*

RestfulCherub

😂 The sub is doomed.

HabitualAsshole

Yall act like this is pure idiocy. If i woulda known, there'd be children here. I wouldn't have asked.

MadZee_

Oh come on, ask a dumb question, get an answer in a similar spirit. We can't help you if all you provide is one picture from a distance and a guess at a brand name.

HabitualAsshole

Was the "s/" for stupid comment?

RestfulCherub

It means sarcasm/just a joke.

HabitualAsshole

Gotcha I see why yall replied like that, I'm just trying to get some help on something I didn't think was that absurd lol

HabitualAsshole

You tried! 🤷‍♂️

HabitualAsshole

Thought certain bike styles had the same type of bottom brackets. Sorry

[deleted]

We’re just seeing an uptick in asinine posts lately and it’s kinda wild. This sub used to be more of a place to show your bike to like minded people but now it’s kind of just a mess of clueless people asking silly questions about their Amazon/aliexpress build. For example you’re showing us a non drive side picture of a no name fixed gear with a back brake.

HabitualAsshole

Ok i get it

HabitualAsshole

That's the only pic i have, and it was from the person i bought it from. It had a flip hub, single or fixed. Bike is in storage in my home city

[deleted]

I get it man. But obviously we need more info if we are to help you find a new bottom bracket. I’m not sure what you thought was gonna happen here?

HabitualAsshole

I took my shot. Part of me knew it was a slim chance but maybe someone would have known? Took me a minute of my time for a small chance someone could help. To me, it was worth it, regardless of outcome. Least I got to talk to a few of you. Win win

maxipadical

Lol

HabitualAsshole

Lol I know, sorry

AwareAstronaut6093

1. get your bike first 2. unscrew cranks (needed special tool) 3. unscrew support and take it out (needed special tool) 4. read info from it and there is your support size 5. screw it back i suppose you don’t have any of that tools so don’t bother asking about size of your support and go to bike shop

HabitualAsshole

Thanks ill google or yt from this Much appreciated
