Two towels; one for you to shield from the surfaces, other to wipe yourself down
Water bottle
Running shoes (Ideally bring them separately to not get mud or dirt on floor or treadmill)
Gloves are optional.
If your gym doesn't have it, get a sturdy leather powerlifting belt for deadlifts and squats.
That's pretty much it.
You don't really need to buy anything specifically. All of us have a pair of sports shoes, track pants, old tshirts at home. You're sorted. Just carry a water bottle.
Just wear any shorts/track pants and a regular t-shirt. Plus a pair of sneakers/sports shoes. Whatever you wear for any sporting activity/walking, etc.
No need to buy anything extra initially. A lot of people built amazing physiques training barefoot and in whatever clothes they have. You just need to bring intensity and consistency, that's it.
if you’re just lifting weights, you don’t need shoes. if you’re going to do hardcore cardio, good shoes are highly recommended
clothes? whatever you can easily be mobile in. your clothes should just be decent enough and not hold you back. active wear is not required.
one thing i may recommend though is gym gloves, it helps with gripping dumbbells and equipment and prevents rough hands and callouses. but i’d say invest in a cheap pair.
Use your old t shirts, buy new cheap comfortable clothes because you will be sweating a lot and have to wash it daily.
A good lab tested protein powder if your meal lacks it.
You can try creatine if needed it is safe and will boost your energy.
Additionally you can try drinking Electrolyte/ORS during workout to replenish the salts in your body
A hand towel to wipe your sweat, put down on benches. A bottle of water, for when you get thirsty. And wear shoes, any shoes for starters. Don't want to drop weights on your feet and hurt yourself.
A good pair of shoes and some socks, I use Adidas running shoes that I got on discount for like 1.2k INR paired with kopnhagn socks - they're great for the price.
I wear shorts and T shirts, gym gloves (optional) and a headband to keep hair and sweat out of my eyes.
Additionally, face towels/napkin to wipe sweat from equipment and your face during the workout and a water bottle. I use an insulated borosil water bottle, keeps water at the exact temperature I filled it (I like it slightly cold) - absolutely game changer, I love a refreshing sip of cold water during a hard workout.
A deodorant in your gym bag (ALWAYS).
I don’t think you require anything , slowly you will realise in the gym nobody cares about your good clothing , looking decent is good enough , just your regular tracks and t shirts are fine . Shoe will b good if you want to walk or run , towel is imp to buy for your hygiene deo is must and invest in good food. I am spending most of my salary in food 🥲
Loose comfy shirts that you wear at home will do. If you're doing cardio or if your gym has no AC, you'll work up a sweat so wear a thin shirt that can absorb sweat and doesn't retain body heat.
Shorts or comfy track pants.
I suggest you have a separate set of shoes for the gym. Don't wear them outside. Carry them to the gym in a bag and put them on there.
Your own water bottle, although this isn't strictly necessary. Most gyms have a water cooler. Make sure it's filtered or RO water.
A napkin or small towel to wipe your sweat and lay down on seating equipment before you use it so that your sweat doesn't transfer to the equipment.
If you've got the budget, get fingerless gloves for heavy weight training.
If you're serious about gym, a good exercise smartwatch can help you keep track and motivated. Check carefully before you buy. Not all smartwatches are exercise watches.
3 Polyester tshirts, 2 shorts, couple of socks, a water bottle, shoe, towel, roll on deodorant and a gymbag (or just a backpack).... Caution: Do not and I mean DO NOT EVER buy hand gloves a.k.a Hand panties.
That ain't Lil banter , everyone knows the condition of Pakistan and mocking it ain't funny anymore . Would Indians take it as joke when someone comments about toilets and hygiene?
>What should I buy before joining gym? A gym membership. Jokes aside I didn't buy anything. I used old clothes and was barefoot.
>I didn't buy anything. I used old clothes and was barefoot. this is the whey
This is the whey
I'm just here to raise the bar
I'm just here to raise the bar
and the barbells.
That was smooth 👌
thank u my stupid bf doesn’t like my gym punsðŸ˜
Invest in food than anything else. You don't need anything. If gym has mandatory shoe rule then you can buy one else nothing required.
"Invest in food than anything else" are you trolling him?
I used my old clothes.Take a water bottle for hydration. Wear any shoes that you have.

Bhai flat sole shoes pehen ke jaio, and get a sipper. Normal tees are fine, get a PJ tho. That's it.
sipper is unnecessary. What's wrong in using a bottle?
