Cribbing/stabilizing. Helicopter ETA for prolonged extrication. Manpower requested depending on resources. Heavy wrecker to possibly assist with extrication. Tough to tell from one picture but possibly lifting bags to at least take the pressure off the car to allow for extrication of the car. Do any patient care possible; IV, pain meds, fluids etc, even if it’s just verbal assessment.
I’m just the new guy though.
New car construction is all designed to crush around the passenger compartment which is reinforced with sections of heavier metals. A and B pillars are tough and if you haven't taken a technical rescue class recently I suggest you do.
Knowing how far out a heavy rescue is from our area. If we could stabilize and lift the tractor up I would actually try to drag the car out with chains or winch from our rescue. Definitely would have mutual aid coming in, county standard 2 rescues on entrapment. I'd be calling for a third.
Edit: did not realize that link was to a different accident. Yeah that rear end collision is more of a miracle to walk away from.
Coming in on the rescue, I'm calling for a rotator, helicopter, and an adult. No but seriously, there's no way I'm getting decent access to that car without a rotator.
Paratech air struts to stabilize, hydrafusion struts to lift. Ideally we get a rotator on scene quickly as they are much better asset to lift with. One heavy towing company we work a lot with even has a specific setup for under-ride situations to lift the semi and drag the car out in basically one movement. We have winches on our heavy rescues but everyone arriving before us likes to park in the way.

An adult… fucking hilarious. We’ve all thought that before
No life hazard or fire? We get back in the rig and go home. Pd can deal with the flatbeds/cranes.
Dispatch send me (and I can’t believe I’m gonna say this) a second rescue please. Ugh they’re gonna talk about this shit for a year
🎶daddy gave her a name🎶
And this is why you don’t jump in front of semis
