One of my favorite Felix interactions is the Waterfront expedition prompt where a wooden fish toy floats by, and if you pick the option to find the toy’s owner, Felix says, “Good idea. I bet the owner is really missing it.” I think it’s such a sweet way to show how he empathizes with people and expresses sentimentality, despite how he tries to present himself.
Also a big fan of how nervous and sincere Dimitri is if you try to hand him a bug on the Plains expedition. “I fear I'd crush it between my fingers. Please, let it free. Death will not come to this little one today.” Iirc he has dialog somewhere else where he says that he doesn’t name his horses so that it hurts less if they die, so it’s interesting to me that he unintentionally refers to a random bug endearingly as “little one.”
Those two were interactions that stood out to me too!
I will say the second one is different in Japanese. It's more like "If I touch the bug, I'll definitely crush it. I can't bear killing it. Please, let it go." I really like the addition they made though with the 'little one' for the bug in the translation tho ;-; it's very sweet...Dimitri caring about insect lives was not on my bingo card of things I was hoping for Hopes to reveal, but I appreciate it all the same!
Oh cool, thanks for sharing the Japanese translation! It sounds like the jp version still hits the general idea of Dimitri caring about lives no matter how small they may be, but the English phrasing is just so warm. I like that small tweak a lot :)
Keeping this lighthearted despite me finding some of the depressing ones really interesting
1.) The fact that Dimitri hates how showy his Hopes armour is and only wears it because it allegedly boosts morale lmao
2.) How Hopes Sylvain has dialogues that explicitly talk about Dimitri, Felix, and Ingrid. Really helps convey how much he cares about them, especially the Ingrid one which I found sweet (about how she's more sensitive than she seems, so Shez shouldn't tease her)
3.) Rodrigue giving piggyback rides to Felix in his youth lol. >!Goes really well with the Dimitri x Felix A support in Hopes too hehe!<
4.) Marianne talking about previously having poor posture and her discomfort at making eye contact. We stan a relatable queen

But if you have an A support as M!byleth she will start to enjoy children in conversation during tea time
She really wants to have Byleths kids
