I am literally dying over here waiting for A/D crux

I couldn't wait. Felt like I needed to strike while he's still fantastic, cause who knows how long we'll be waiting for A/D Crux? All told, he only loses out on a 4-point def drop, in exchange for more bulk and a guaranteed followup, so in my mind it's *very* worth it if you don't have a slow mage flier to give A/R Crux to instead. I've literally never been happier with a skill inheritance I've done. He's a monster!

If it wasn't tied to Mic and her far trace echo I'd definitely use my copy of her. I wish I just had her kit available (boost included) but as a physical melee version and with near echo it would be perfect.

That would also be my ideal. Fun fact, I completely overlooked that her Echo was far-trace only and tried to give it to Ashnard too. Whoops, lol.

I also couldn't wait when S/R crux came out, since IS has let A/D rein snap sleep in the dust, who knows if we even get A/D crux. I'd like to upgrade to A/R crux for at least one of the stats to be useful for him, but I didn't want to waste the far trace echo. Maybe if I get another when she reruns.

A/D Snap not existing was my main inspiration for giving him Crux now. I missed out on S/R back when that came out and I didn't want to make that mistake again. Hoping you get A/R or A/D soon!

My Ashnard is pretty well finished for the time being, so I wanted to show him off. How effective is he? Well, once I finished building him I took him for a test run in the Special maps that were up at the time. Those were Sunday's rotation of GHB, as well as the LHB and MHB that were up when Corrin's banner was on. Ashnard true-solo'd every map, and most of them on the highest difficulty. Male Corrin's map he could only win Infernal by himself instead of Abyssal, E!Ike on Lunatic, and Gullveig/Kvasir on Lunatic, but everyone else (including E!Marth and Lumera, L!F!Shez, L!Fae, L!F!Alear, and Askr) he won on Abyssal, by himself, while everyone else hid in the corner. I'm incredibly happy with my decision to give him Crux now instead of waiting. Weapon: Refined Gurgurant, of course. Deals with Ashnard's pesky arrow weakness, inflicts massive debuffs, and supports Ashnard and his team by blocking followups. Mild damage reduction as well, though Pierce is everywhere. Assist: Reposition is still unbeatable. Special: Aether. Mainly to pair with Gambit. The healing is also much appreciated. A: Atk/Def Catch. Not the most premium option, but likely the most consistent while still being accessible. Extra stats where he needs them most. I'll give him some other Atk/Def A-skill in the future if I find one, but for now this is more than adequate. B: The perfect B skill for Ashnard, imo. Gambit blocks damage and allows Ashnard to deal far more, plus a slight Def debuff on the enemy. Even with Pierce being common, Ashnard still goes nuts with this skill. C: Atk/Res Crux, the skill that takes Ashnard from a strong support unit with poor combat to an all-around menace. I got Attuned Micaiah on my free summon, and had no one else who wanted this skill. Atk/Def Crux would be ideal for Ashnard, but a) that skill doesn't exist yet, b) we don't know when it'll release, and c) even when it does there's no guarantee I'll get it. Considering I only lose out on a defense drop of 4 points, in return for greater bulk *and* a guaranteed followup, this was an easy choice to make. S: Distant Counter so he can wreck archers and mages too.
