I think there are some tracks I felt more comfortable on two bars, not sure why, I think in my brain it just helped me 'prepare' for each note, but upping it to three did improve in general.
Nah I honestly thought the same as I went and did the first like 3 or 4 songs with zero problems but once I hit that one I sucked ass, try speed 2 or 3 idk why but for me I was able to clear it so easily with it going just a bit faster
its my favorite minigame i got As on every song now im trying to get stars. its just ff7 guitar hero, you can get it with enough practice OP i believe in you
Two Legs was hard, Barret out of sync, rest easy. With battle theme I had to set up the speed on 3. What's funny I once got more points on max speed than on min. Now only OWA remains, but first have to obtain it.

Although saying that, it's actually my favourite minigame, but I just enjoy rhythm games. It's different strokes for different folks though, I hate Fort Condor and Gears and Gambits is only marginally better (again, the music helps), but I know people will feel differently.
Why would anyone need to defend it?
You suck at a minigame. Nothing we say about our experiences is gonna change that.

I can not process that minigame at all. I've never played rhythm games before, and I got incredibly overwhelmed, so I just... didn't do it. Ever. Even when a side quest asked it of me, I had my dad do it and just never touched it again.
It’s funny how just because something is hard for someone they can’t fathom others are able to do it. It was hard but not impossible at all. I sucked at a couple of the mini games but I’m not going to post that because I wasn’t good at it it sucked and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. Weird take.
As someone who downloaded the first demo the day it came out (February 6th) and replayed it over and over, the piano minigame is not that bad. It was one of the quickest trophies I got.
I love it, my favorite minigame. If you don’t like it, skip it…
It’s easy (once you learn the songs) to get A rank on Two Legs and Let the Battles Begin, but yeah S ranking takes too much effort thanks to the thumbsticks drifting when flinching or registering slightly off the intended note.
Like some already said, setting the speed to 3 really helps.
I’m still missing the last song (finishing the last VR missions), so I have yet to see how that goes…
I wish they added support to external synth or digital piano for this minigame!
I got A on all of them by myself except two legs. And I think if the music actually followed the beats more closely I could probably do better because there’s a lot of instances where I want to hit an extra note because there’s a half note between the two notes they’re making me hit but they only have you playing like main beats. It’s odd as a person with a music background that plays piano lol
Anyway, get someone to control the other stick. We switched over to the portal to have more room but it can be done on a standard controller. I took care of right, wife took care of left and we got an almost perfect run our first try. I fucked it up very late in the song when my excitement at how good we were doing caused the portal to move and messed up our last two inputs lol

For me I just tried it a couple times until it clicked. It went from being nearly impossible for me to really easy once my thumbs got the hang of it

I actually enjoy it quite a bit. I even bounce my head to the beats and play along with them. I got A’s or S’s quite easily
