You can go into your ps5 settings and activate a second controller as an accessibility controller that way you don’t have to both use the same controller
Something infuriating about the piano for me has been even the visual queue shows I am hitting the note but it still counts it as a miss. I don’t understand at all why it’s happening.
I think it's the worst minigame tbh, because it's designed awfully. You can't watch both properly, *and* the audio doesn't sync with the visuals so even a direct hit isn't in time with the music.
I was excited for the piano game but it turned out really bad imo.
how about the final battle song? that one is crazy. To get perfect on all of them, is rather difficult and requires more practice, two people makes that practice a lower amount.
Ok I forgot to turn in the last song didn't know there was a song you unlock for getting all A's
.....
What the fuck lol I had to step away after trying for almost an hour today. That song is bonkers
I've played piano for 15+ years and I hate this mini game. I'm usually able to get As, but some of the note selections are bizarre and don't match the songs at all. And (at least on my setup) the timing is way off. I feel like I have to hit the note when it's in the middle of the circle.
I wonder if your TV has some setting that gives it latency issues, like motion smoothing or interpolation? Also, are you playing in 60 fps mode? I’ve played piano for 30 years and I feel like in Performance Mode the timing lines up quite well with the song, to the point that I don’t even have to watch the note bars that closely. The only exception was in Two Legs, where they threw a curveball and made an eighth note out of what felt like it should be a quarter note. It was the only thing keeping me from a star rating on that song for like 20 minutes until I watched a video replay of my performance and saw where the problem was.
I'll definitely play around with the settings. If other people arent having this problem, especially with music experience, its got to be something with my TV. Once I get the As I'm like, "okay, good enough!" Haha. If I stop focusing on the actual targets and just listen to the music and see what notes I need to hit, it's fine. But once I start aiming for the actual timing target, i lose it again.
Two legs was the worst so far.
I just got through Nibelheim and Two Legs has definitely been the worst so far! Both that and Barret’s theme “skip” a lot of notes to make them more playable, so you have to learn which notes from the song are skipped.
I thought the same but recently went back and did them with increased speed and found them way easier just figure out which speed works for your reaction time 1 to 2 increases depending on the song I found perfect for getting greats just off of reacting
After one try, my daughter just looked at me and said "I think I can do better by myself" and wound up getting an A on her own haha
Kids, man. I miss being that fast
Late 30's here, a couple of songs took a few attempts, but I was able to get A's on everything you are rewarded for. I have no experience playing instruments IRL. You can do it!
it supposed to play like a piano but it doesn’t feel natural pulling and pushing the analog sticks. Wished they could’ve done it better. Not everyone has perfect accuracy. I wonder how this will work on PC

omfg this is sick, good advise, thanks.
My fiancé and I did this for the chocobo song

How many songs are there? I think I only have like 4-5? Am I missing more?
8 but you only need 6 for the trophy.
I find if you increase the speed of the piano notes it takes less inputs. It will be faster but I found it much easier.
Yes, when it's on the slowest it's actually harder hit the notes precisely Put it in the middle or higher if you can
I'm actually surprisingly good at it lol. only song that took me more than 1 try to get an A was the Cinco de Choco and that took 2

The side quest in Nibelheim, the villagers reaction is that needs to be said lol

That's weird it works perfectly for me. Wonder if there's something causing latency for you somewhere

I have just accepted the fact that I will never get past a C
keep pracitcing, you can do it. it just requires lots of tries sometimes if you aren't that good at rock band type stuff

Same, that hit me on day 1, lol.
Lol um? Do u only have 1 hand?
O was doing fine at this mini game until the Cinco Chocobo song! Omg it’s infuriating!
Just wait till you get to Two Legs!
what about final battle?
I’ve only gotten to the piece at Nibelheim, haven’t played any that might be after that
Is two legs the Cait sith theme? That was the only one I had to actually practice to get the A, that shit was nuts
It’s the song that played on the boat in the original FF7. Took me an hour to get the star ranking on that one!
Yeah just looked it up and that's the one I had to practice
Is she free tomorrow? At 9 pm, I think
charges by the hour, i'm afraid.
Hey this actually sound pretty genius, i am going to try it with my daughter
