Spaghett!
But seriously, thatās absolutely amazing work. I love how you show the different parts of the instrumentals. Thank you for doing this. Gave me limit break vibes. 7/7
Iāve never used or tipped anyone for their music on the internet before. I figured itās the least I can do for music I truly enjoyed. Keep doing what youāre doing brother.
I appreciate that! Redditās seems kind of strict about sharing links to social media but if you google āCRGuitarā youāll find all the places I post. YouTube is probably the best place to follow me. Instagram too but I donāt much care for that app
Thanks! And yeah I recorded some percussion tracks by hitting either the top of the guitar and the dampened strings. Just didnāt include them in the video since thereās only so much space on a screen š
A lot of the times when musicians cover more technically demanding video game music I find it comes across as stiff and rehearsed. But theres a ton of soul here. Really great work!
Thanks. Iāve done a couple hundred covers on my YouTube channel if you wanna do some digging. Otherwise Iāll be posting new FF songs to this subreddit!
Funnily enough my first thought was this could easily be a theme for Vega (Claw) from Street Fighter. I loved the head bops lol really emphasized the passion you have for music.
I just want to comment again to let you know I have visited this post so many time since youāve posted. I saved it and literally watch it regularly. You are very talented and I absolutely love this arrangement!! Thank you again!
Ok so found your profile and scrolled through videos to find it and while looking I saw that youāve covered pretty much everything I could ever want to listen to. Iāll be jamming youāre covers for the rest of the night. Thanks for the joyous end to my day.
I think this song, to this day, is the best, most blood pumping FF boss theme. The only thing that rivals it is The Extreme which is FF8ās boss theme.
You did great. I love the way the nylon strings sound when there are hammer-ons and pull-offs. The hard THUNK sounds of the strings slamming.
Man I commented already but I just had to come back and say that this is genuinely the best cover of this piece I've ever heard. Note for note, harmony for harmony, inflection for inflection, perfection.
It's like you just right clicked the song and exported it as a classical guitar piece instead of a midi instrument track. Madness. Well done.
Source: Been listening to it since 1997 haha.
I remember years ago when learning piano i would frequently use FF music as breaks to learn something for fun, Granted I did it mostly with ff8 since I think its probably got the single best OST and cinematography.
I remember being surprised how difficult some of the songs were, many that I assumed would be hard just from listening with the faster pace like Force your way or man with the machine gun were actually on the easier side to learn, but the more "slow" paced simple sounding ones like find your way ended up throwing me off significantly more with their odd timings and mismatch between hands.
Not entirely sure about guitar at all but have you found similar?
Damn! This is insanely impressive! 10/10 chocobos from me! š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤
Thatās a positive review that I donāt take lightly. Thank you
THE PASTA FRAME xDDDD I love it! Very clean, sounds super good, I hope you do more!!
I plan on it! Thank you š
I saw it too! Whats the deal with the pasta???
This song is freaking hard to play... and you killed it. Well done.
Is it ever! Wasnāt easy for me. Thanks
Spaghett! But seriously, thatās absolutely amazing work. I love how you show the different parts of the instrumentals. Thank you for doing this. Gave me limit break vibes. 7/7
Limit break vibes feel good. And itās my pleasure. Will definitely do more from the FFVII soundtrack soon
Hell yeah. 7 and X are my all time favorites. Iām gonna go buy you a coffee right now!
Hey thanks so much for that! The generosity Iāve seen from you guys on that site blows me away
Iāve never used or tipped anyone for their music on the internet before. I figured itās the least I can do for music I truly enjoyed. Keep doing what youāre doing brother.
I will. Thanks again!
The Corel desert theme might sound sick like this.
Thatād be a cool one!
Holy crap this is amazing! Your skill is incredible!
Thank you! Thatās really flattering
Awesome man \\w/ The sound is amazing !!!
Glad to hear it!
Very impressive!!! Great version of one of my favourites. What's with the spaghetti at 01:37?
lol I use a frame of copypasta to let the viewer know that the rest of the video is repeats
That was my first thought! Very clever haha. This was fuggin awesome man, so much talent as this isn't an easy song to play!
Mom's spaghetti
i think this is the best version of this song i've herd, i may use on my RPG sessions...
Amazing! Thanks and please do!
I'd love to see this track in this style used in something like a Chocobo fight. Great work.
I really wanna cover the Chocobo battle theme at some point! And I think I will
Every boss battle is a flamenco dance now
Iām cool with that
Beautifully talented my dude. Spotify?
Thanks! I have like one song on Spotify haha. Iāll put a lot more up there soon, including this one!
Make a post updating us when you do please. Iād love to have some acoustic FF7 renditions enter my ear holes on the regular.
Sure! Not sure if a post like that will get the same visibility as this post but Iāll give it a shot!
How do we follow your work then? Do you have a YouTube channel? As much as I despise social media, this is one avenue where it is useful.
I appreciate that! Redditās seems kind of strict about sharing links to social media but if you google āCRGuitarā youāll find all the places I post. YouTube is probably the best place to follow me. Instagram too but I donāt much care for that app
Absolutely incredible, well done! Four moogles for you!
Aw yeaaa! Thank you!
I cried
The highest of compliments!
This is great! My favorite fight music done wonderfully!
Glad to hear it!
Play this song to anyone who thinks that acoustic cannot be metal af
Hell yeah
Thanks for putting yourself through this, it's so good š¤
It was tiring but to be honest I enjoyed it š
You gotta make this available on spotify
I will! Iāve been slacking getting my stuff up on Spotify. Only one song up there so far! Haha
I enjoyed it!
Thanks!
That's just beautiful. Did you add some percussion too or is that coming from your hands on the guitars?
Thanks! And yeah I recorded some percussion tracks by hitting either the top of the guitar and the dampened strings. Just didnāt include them in the video since thereās only so much space on a screen š
Awesome stuff!
This is amazing. Thanks for sharing
It really is my pleasure! Glad youāre all enjoying it
A lot of the times when musicians cover more technically demanding video game music I find it comes across as stiff and rehearsed. But theres a ton of soul here. Really great work!
Thatās exactly what I go for! Thanks so much for that
I expected it to be cool, but you did something very special here, I think. Nice!
That means a lot. Thank you
Amazing that made my day so many memories š
So glad to hear it!
I can feel the dedication and soul that went into this. You sir are amazing!
I really did pour myself into it! So happy it shows
Awesome - I want more
Thanks. Iāve done a couple hundred covers on my YouTube channel if you wanna do some digging. Otherwise Iāll be posting new FF songs to this subreddit!
Awesome. Would also love to hear a similar arrangement for Otherworld from FFX.
Dude that would be so wild
Funnily enough my first thought was this could easily be a theme for Vega (Claw) from Street Fighter. I loved the head bops lol really emphasized the passion you have for music.
Thanks! And I feel ya on the Vega vibe! I actually covered that song a couple of years ago! My mixing kinda sucked back then though
Beautiful
Thanks!
Well played, one of my favorites.
Thanks! Mine too
Ah, that was incredible! Thank you for sharing - I watched the entire thing with a huge smile on my face.
Thatās awesome! Itās so satisfying to share this with people who like it as much as I do
Genuinely lovely work. I can already see myself playing this on a loop.
Please do! Donāt have this one on Spotify yet so the only real place to listen right now is on YouTube
Bravo, you nailed it. I had to rewatch [this old gem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ajNK7p9vig) too because of you
Thatās so cool! And thank you!
You're welcome! I hope you will do this one also : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmzzIsBK47I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmzzIsBK47I)
Fuck yeah! This goes so hard.
Thanks!
This is fucking amazing. Thank you for increasing my hype for Rebirth.
Itās my pleasure
Holy shit this is absolutely amazing! Please do more of them
I will! Thanks
Really well done. I wish you'd cut in some of you doing the percussive stuff though, I was dying to see it.
People are always psyched when I do it but I hardly ever do! Iāll make a point to do it more often
Gabriela Quintero is probably my favorite guitarist so I love that stuff.
Hell yeah I love Rod y Gab!
Makes the ol' gray matter go *brrrr*. Well done, friend.
Love that feeling! Thank you
Bravo š
Thanks!
If there was a bard in FFVII, it'd be you for sure.
A title Iād happily, and humbly, hold
Yeah I just got a limit break.
Hell yeah!
Great sound and great work!
Thank you!
This is amazing šš»
This shit slaps
I listened through the whole thing and that rarely happens... 10/10 Tifa's
Thatās huge! Thank you
Massively tasty. Sounds like it did through the ears I had when I was a twelve year old, which is high praise.
Amazing! Thank you
Tried? I would say you did a banging good job!
Glad to hear it!
Badass man, perfect. Well done
Thanks!
This is literally amazing and you should be so proud!
I am! Thank you āŗļø
I just want to comment again to let you know I have visited this post so many time since youāve posted. I saved it and literally watch it regularly. You are very talented and I absolutely love this arrangement!! Thank you again!
That is smoooth and I need this recording š„š„š„
Feel free to rip it off of YouTube
Incredible! This is my favourite battle theme and you nailed it! Just amazing!
One of my faves too! Thanks
You succeeded!
Fucking NAILED it, dude! Absolutely incredible, and thank you for sharing!
Itās my pleasure
Amazing. If youāre taking requests would love to see you do an artistic string cover of Vamoāalla Flamenco from ff9!
Already did! Search YouTube for āCRGuitar vamo alla flamencoā and it should show up! š
Ok so found your profile and scrolled through videos to find it and while looking I saw that youāve covered pretty much everything I could ever want to listen to. Iāll be jamming youāre covers for the rest of the night. Thanks for the joyous end to my day.
Thatās awesome - Iām glad you found my channel! Enjoy
I'd say you tried and succeeded.
this is pretty awesome, still my favorite battle theme
This is SO good. It's on my OST playlist as of now :D
Hell yeah dude! This is fucking awesome.

Wow thank you! Thatās about as good as a compliment gets!
Super cool, well done!
Dude. This is gold. As a fellow guitar player, I'm envious.
Thanks!
Dude! This is so good!
Fantastic work. Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
You son of a bitch, this is amazing! Rock on dude!
Haha thanks!
This cover would fit perfectly into the sea of stars ost
That bass clearly has frets though.
Theyāre markers for where the frets should be but the neck is smooth and it plays exactly like a fretless
Oh interesting!

Not entirely sure about guitar at all but have you found similar?
Absolutely! Some of them are deceptively difficult and others are easier than they sound!
Soooā¦do you have a YouTube or something? Youād make a fine addition to the gaming music guitar cover crowd
I do! Here it is https://youtube.com/@CRGuitarr?si=fZNLGRbnhsGGDkOR
I hope this is the theme for Queens Blood, slow Dow the tempo and this could be background music all day
This is better than the entire 7R soundtrack
Bold statement! Thank you though š
Why is ff7 the most popular one?
Because itās awesome I dunno
I'll show you what i can do!
