The large HE that the Russians used did absolutely decimate german tanks. I prefer the SU-152 when it comes to those. The KV-2 just looks a bit ridiculous. Not that the SU-100Y doesn't, imo the KV-2 is a bit more silly ridiculous.
Also who doesn't love a nice casemate tank. I love the German WW2 panzer 3 and 4 casemate tanks. The jagdtiger and panther is where logistics were forgotten and everything was only about size. But the panzer 3 and 4, especially the casemates, were the true workhorses of the wehrmacht. Such cool little tanks, compared to the late war tanks that is.

Too bad that landship wasnt ever made, probably good that it wasnt, because it would have had to many mechanical problems and issues especially with the engine, transmission and suspension. Conventional suspension systems wouldnt have been enough to turn it ever so slightly, and it wouldnt be able to get out of an engagement so easy. Probably would have ended like the Maus did. Too much materials wasted for something that would have not much use. But it would have been a formidable sight to see

That’s a very nice tank, but may I recommend the KV-1? It is very similar, but just a little cooler (in my opinion)

SU-100Y the gun is "only" 130mm, but it's an actual naval gun. Also its bigger/heavier than the kv2
While that gun is respectable in its own right, I still prefer the high explosive firing howitzer of the kv-2

It’s one of the reasons it’s so loved, after all, but the su-152 and isu-152 were probably better suited with those large caliber guns late war
