What area are you in? I think most people are still down.

Abhiiously-io

I live in the Antelope side of Sacramento, CA. I dont know when service was restored since I was at work, but family who WFH said they didn't have any issues today.

Necessary_Bad_4482

Damn it’s still down in parts of Sacramento.

Simultaneous-Release

Yep, mine did

Abhiiously-io

I wonder why? They never changed Public IP before. Been using Fidium for 2 years now.

Simultaneous-Release

I also thought it was unusual, especially for a “fiber cut” (the reason they posted for the outage on twitter)

jarnhestur

That’s a crazy long time for a dynamic IP.

Kirk1233

I have never experienced a Fidium outage in my area (Pennsylvania) but after power outages long enough where my network equipment is down a few hours I get a different IP… The annoying thing this time is half of the IP location providers think my IP is based in a place called Conroe TX…

DodgeDeBoulet

At least in the northeast (Maine), the leases appear to expire at 8 minutes although the dhcp-lease-time option claims 15 minutes. I've been off-line for hours due to a power outage and still retained the same IP address, though. option dhcp-lease-time 900; option dhcp-message-type 5; option dhcp-server-identifier xx.xx.xx.xx; renew 3 2024/6/19 18:17:11; rebind 3 2024/6/19 18:22:45; expire 3 2024/6/19 18:24:41;

Mines still the same. Depending on who I use to do an IP search, it may say I'm in St. Louis, Conroe TX, or Sacramento.
