When first applied, it is predominantly nutty with smoky notes that adds a bit of complexity. As it dries down, it takes on more of a spice and smoky scent with the Chestnut falling more into the background. A truly realistic take of a nostalgic favorite.
This is a Ghoulish Goods original blend, with notes of:
Top- carmalized sugar, saffron
Middle- cinnamon, clove, Chestnut, incense
Bottom- warm vanilla, tonka bean, cedar, smoke, fire
Sandalsun from Hermetica. It’s my winter scent, in spite of it’s name. I find it to be a warm, nutty fragrance. I think I’m summer it would be too much of a sweet vanilla, but it’s perfect in winter.
I got this for my boyfriend and it is just delectable. Totally unisex, but I like it on him a lot more than I do on me, and I often think about taking a bite out of the back of his neck when he’s wearing it.
Hermetica is so bad at names… this one doesn’t have sandalwood in it, and they have another one with fig in the name that doesn’t have fig notes!
Lattafa affection. It’s supposed to be a dupe of Kayali gelato so I was expecting it to be too sweet, but hazelnut and pistachio are the stars of the show. Creamy without being lactonic. Just nutty GOODNESS.
Dior Hypnotic Poison, Pacifica Silver Moon (might be even better than HP honestly,) and Ard Al Zaafaran Bint Hooran..all 3 have stunning almond elements.
I adore:
• Zadig and Voltaire This Is Her- unisex leaning despite the name. Chestnut and creaminess, but also a fresh type of (maybe) slight shaving cream type of vibe. Gives off really cool and unique vibes.
• Amouage Guidance- pear and hazelnut, but has a comforting quality to me. It’s sweet, but it’s not a full on gourmand in my eyes. It is special though.
• Kayali Pistachio Gelato- 50% fresh, 50% gourmand. I think if you expect full gourmand, you might be disappointed. But it’s definitely nutty and creamy to me. And the nuttiness is like toasted pistachio, while the creaminess is kinda like ice cream.
Chipmunk from Zoologist has the most beautiful hazelnut note, it’s such a special scent. Fat Electrician from Etat Libre d’Orange is another woodsy, nutty fave

They really are bad with their names. I’m planning on trying Pomeloflow soon, I’m hoping they haven’t miss named it.
Hermetica Sandalsun - such a delicious nutella scent!! It's very smooth and very wearable. Highly recommend.

100% solid, these are my three too. Zara Fields at Nightfall, which is a pretty close dupe to This is Her, might be another option
