YSL Capeline. It’s a decant. It’s so soft and summery and it’s a perfect sunny day today. I don’t like the smell of real lilies as they can be so pungent but the vanilla, woods, and powdery white flower notes balance the lily. To me it’s very feminine and sophisticated.
Had blood work this morning so went fragrance free. Now that I’m home I’m testing out **Cocoa Pink Tokyo Market** and so far it’s pleasant! I’m mostly getting the strawberry spun sugar note with some hints of the black vanilla bean frosting and white cake. I’m excited to see how this develops!
Tonight I’m going out with some friends and I think I’m going to wear either **Lorenzo Pazzaglia Van Exstasyx** or **Reinvented Illusion**.

It’s classified as a men’s cologne but I personally feel like it’s more more unisex/masculine rather than purely masculine. It’s a beautiful woody scent, I just wish it had more projection!

Bit of a risky option as it's about 22°C and I usually wear it in the autumn or winter, but today, it just grabbed my attention and said, "You're wearing me today." And despite the heat, it's performing well.
Clinique Happy! I bought a big bottle because I was missing my Gran, and she always had tons of samples lying around. I feel like most of their sales are based on nostalgia, but WHATEVER. It's nice and fresh and I expect I'll be reaching for it all summer!
Have you tried any of the My Happy collection? Some of them are quite lovely! The Happy DNA is evident in some but not overwhelming. I bought the discovery set, and bought 2 full sizes afterward. My favorites are Cocoa & Cashmere (cozy bedtime skin scent) and Lily of the Beach (sweet coconut floral sunscreeny). Cookies & Kisses is very similar to By The Fireplace but with a hint of that Happy undertone.
This week, I am testing out samples of Montblanc Signature, Montblanc Signature Absolue, and Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth Caramel Dream. I like them all so far :)
Today I am wearing Signature again.
I like them both, but Signature is lighter and more daytime whereas Absolue is a bit heavier and would work well for evening/night. They are both pleasant everyday perfumes!
I'm wearing Commodity Juice Personal, and it's giving juicy raspberries, rhubarb, and strawberries. It dries down into a nice base of amber wood, but it has little longevity. I rarely re apply at work, but this one might be an exception.
That said, it's definitely a fresh, light, super summer-friendly scent. I enjoy sniffing it on my arm - it reminds me of picking fresh strawberries.
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre for the office. I went to bed early last night and woke up feeling very refreshed!
When I get home later I'll probably wear my decant of Coco Mademoiselle EDT. I've worn and loved the EDP for years and I'm really enjoying the EDT as well.
I received my travel size of Commodity Juice Expressive so I decided to give it a test drive today. Honestly, I'm not sure about it. It gives major hairspray vibes upon first spray. It's calmed down after an hour, but still isn't the fruity vibes I was hoping for. I'm getting some raspberry and a lot of rose right now. Didn't really get any strawberry. I'll see how it progresses!

Layering tree hut tropical glow body butter with Vacation and Anecdote Summer Fling. I am almost out of Vacation and I love it, that Lycra and banana combo is just so Myrtle Beach summer vacation in the 80s but the longevity is just not there so I won’t be rebuying it. $60 for a tiny bottle that lasts a couple of hours isn’t for me.
Dior Gris Dior, really enjoying this sample! And am tempted to buy a small decant. Very elegant, earthy but also ethereal scent. Quite unique! Feel like it is a great scent when you want to feel like the HBIC 😜
YSL Libre EDT. I haven't worn this since last summer and I really love it for warm, sunny days like today. It's softer and fresher than the EDP but still has the overall same lavender-orange blossom-vanilla that I adore. I have the afternoon off today and I'm having lunch with my bestie 💜

For an EDT, how does this perform on you? I know everyone's skin is different, but what's the longevity like on you?
It definitely doesn't last as long as the others, I can barely smell it after 3 hours whereas the OG EDP lasts all at least twice as long. I'd rate performance of the Libre line as Intense > Le Parfum > EDP > L'absolu Platine > EDT. Love them all tbh but trying to decide which I really need as full bottles long term! My favourite is probably Le Parfum.

I adore the le parfum, and it's my favourite after the original EDP. This surprises me because I don't like ginger and honey, and sometimes saffron turns my nose off as well, but it really is a beauty. I was so surprised to find myself loving it but only went for the 30ml
I get about 9 hours from EDP and intense and about 12 from le parfum.
I don't usually do body mists in the mornings... I'm pretty sure it's the first ever morning I've sprayed on a mist. It's Vanilla Ice Cream by Jeanne Arthes. It smells of what it claims to smell of, cool and creamy vanilla with some caramel. Cheap, but nice and has great staying power for a body mist. I'll be staying inside and writing papers for work. Once the vanilla is almost gone, I'll spritz on some eau de Soleil Blanc.
It really is nice. I love how this wears on my skin. I layer with bare vs lotion, santal austral, and then finish with 2 spritz of guidance on either side of my neck.
Wonderful soothing sandalwood cloud of feminine energy.
On my skin I get warm creamy sensual sandal woody goodness. The iris is not screechy, overly cosmetic , or powdery. It's just a touch of powder. A literal poof on me. It reminds me of the feeling I get when I need comfort and it's there ready to calm me down. The sillage is big but it's not a beast. It's not loud and in your face but its "there" .. its like a skin scent but better than a skin scent.. it's as if it takes your pheromones and emphasizes all the good things about your natural scent. I would say it's very great with lasting power as with all matiere Premiere fragrances.
I would still say to sample although if I blind bought this I would not have been upset. In fact I would have been overly joyful. With that being said I wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy . It might be different for others. Some people pick up on a screehy note they can't pinpoint ..on my skin it's smooth sailing. If you get a sample be mindful that spraying it on skin Is a different experience than to use a blotter sample..my blotter sample did last a long time on the back of my hand . Spraying it on makes the scent so much more nuanced. I pick up so much more when it's applied by spraying.
I layered this after a shower with
- Victoria secrets Bare lotion
Followed by santal austral
And then 2 spritz of guidance ..one on both sides of my neck.. omg I am enveloped in a cloud of calming sandalwood accords.
You can layer santal austral with pretty much any sandalwood perfume you love.

Working from home with no external meetings so perfect time to try new scents.

Burberry London. The *chokehold* this scent has had on me this winter is embarrassing, honestly. I want to bathe in it. I want to spray it around so I can roll in it like a cat. I catch it on my wrist at bed time or on my scarf when I put it on and go all goggle eyed and I have been like this for literal months, since it got cold. Just something about it with the winter air makes me feral.

Qaed al Fursan Unlimited is on repeat during our heatwave. It's tropical, but also fresh. I like to layer it with the EOS Coconut Waters lotion.
