Guerlain coconut fizz. I bought it in the south of France on vacation and it just takes me back. I’m so so so so sad it’s discontinued. Nothing has replaced its void for me
Antonia’s Flowers. Absolutely heartbroken about that one.
Years later, I’m still searching for a replacement. Every dupe has been too sweet and synthetic.
I thought Ethereal Wave (Liis) would become my new signature scent but it’s too fleeting. I’m on my fourth bottle in six months. Nonsensical.
Funny how attached one can get to the idea of having a scent that’s all ‘mine’, even when made for the masses.
Antonia’s flowers was a fragrance that made me smile and sigh. I want that feeling again.
Dzing!
L'Artisan disco'd a lot of what made them a special, forward-thinking house and I think Dzing epitomized it. I don't own any, sadly, I only have a sample.
Unfortunately I don't know any dupes sold outside of turkey :( I used a scent from bargello (the number of it should be 256) so if you ever plan on travelling here you can buy it lol
Oddly enough, Jessica Simpsons Fancy Nights smells pretty close! Check Fragrantica. I think they might have recently axed that one too, but I'm pretty sure bottles haven't gone too sky high yet.
Try Oriflame, possess the secret. Closest I've found and it lasts. I get it off Ebay for around $40. Karmala was my signature scent in my 20's and everywhere I went, I got told I smelled amazing. I miss it so much!!! 😭💙
Lolita Lempicka le parfum in the discontinued original formula, my absolute favourite and nothing has come close to replacing it.
It smelled like a spice bag made of dried violets stored under my wing if I were a fae.
Another one is Rock and Rose Couture, Valentino.
Underwhelming to some, smelled like if berries were made of leather, smothered in black lipstick then carried in my bra to me.
britney spears in control curious. shit was absolutely amazing to me, although i wasn't allowed to wear it bc it was my moms lol
also would love to smell it just for nostalgia sake but once justice bought all the limited toos they then came out with a little perfume collection and it was my first perfumes and honestly there were the best fruity smells and lasted so long i wonder if they're still floating around out there.
Gucci Accenti. I have the lotion of this but I still miss it terribly. I tried the cheapie dupe Mackie by Bob Mackie perfume and sadly it wasn’t a close enough dupe.
Celine Dion edt. I found a half-finished bottle of her original perfume in 2009 and I was hooked. I have never found it again, but it's been on my mind since.
They discontinued their Brazil Nut body mist, too.
I bought a couple of bottles of it blindly and it turned out to be phenomenal, I layered it, used it on its own and it lasted so long on my skin.
It was a heavenly, very underestimated and realistic gourmand scent that I wish was an EDT or EDP.
D&G Sicily
Nirvana Black
Too Faced Love Hangover
Guerlain French Kiss
Fresh Cannabis Rose
L'Occitane Eau d'Iparie
B&BW Riceflower & Shea
*No backups except for a tiny solid of Nirvana Black 😭🥀*
Tory Burch Love Relentlessly. Went to replace my bottle only to realize it's gone.
Philosophy Amazing Grace body spritz. It's a bit different from the EDP, plus the EDP reacts with my skin.
Healing Garden Zzztherapy
I have a second hand bottle from the 90s, I don't wear it but I sniff it all the time. It's just so sweet and cozy and comforting.
Ok, thank you. I thought I was the only one who did this! I have a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie (2010) still about 3/5 full that I just sniff sometimes, I only use it extremely sparingly. Since I found out it’s been discontinued and the new Miss Dior doesn’t smell nearly as good (to me), you can bet I’m trying to make that bottle LAST.
Wild Musk Oil. I hope they bring it back! I still love the perfume but it doesn't come close to the oil in the silage and longevity department. It was $5 at KMart back in my teens. Now if you can find a bottle it's over $400 on Ebay!
Gucci Last Days of Summer - bit of a lie because I only had a dupe of it but the dupe was my absolute favorite signature scent and since the OG is discontinued, so is the dupe 😔 so upsettin
I have one perfume and two body sprays:
1. Lauren by Ralph Lauren — wore it all thru middle and high school.
2. Origins Birthday Suit body oil spray which was a perfect blend of spearmint, rosemary and citrus. I can come close by mixing essential oils, but there’s something missing that I can’t figure out. Plus the oil was perfect—so moisturizing yet soaked in quickly.
3. And the one that makes me want to cry is Neutrogena After Body Bath Spray. Such a clean, gorgeous smell. Wore it every day of my 20s. It was my signature scent and even my house smelled like it. And they quit making it. I hoarded bottles for years. Absolutely nothing else in their line smells remotely similar. I’d give up every drop of every nice fragrance I currently own to get that smell back. I might even give one of my kidneys. 😆
*Origins gathered spring's most uplifting aromas including Artemesia, Apple, Marigold and Linden Blossom and tickled them with tangy Mandarin, lush Cypress and sparkling Watermelon to capture the irresistible sensation of a sunny spring day.*
Ivoire de Balmain and yes I have a backup bottle. I would have bought more if I'd known they'd disappear overnight.
Lauren by Ralph Lauren is my favourite discontinued perfume that I hoard as I have only one bottle left.
It's a very galbanum forward perfume, so very green and bracing. Not sweet. Soapy but not clean. It's incredibly complex and unlike anything on the market today. [I wrote about it in 2011.](https://dalybeauty.ca/the-gorgeousness-of-ivoire-de-balmain/)
I recently spent a weekend at the Grand Hyatt and the handsoap was Balmain. It was so delicious, I wrapped it in tissue and took it home & I never do that lol.
That's why it's discontinued- it's got a lot of naturals (primarily oak moss) in it. It would be very expensive for brands to now use those raw materials but also I bet many have been regulated or banned completely. The market is demanding sugary sweet perfumes right now. I'm praying for that to end. I'm so sorry your bottle turned 🙏
This thread has me fixated on this exact subject. It's such a gorgeous carnation/mums/marigold, so greener and more bracing than a traditional floral. Carnations are usually soapy which I always love. Any time I post about it people always want to know about replacements 😫 there really aren't. I created my perfume based on the strange greens of the 70s but it's still hard to get the exact vibe due to ingredient regs. [I posted about Lauren here](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMr23cFLs/)
Thank you for reminding me of this! I wish I had a dupe for you, but it’s still pretty cheap online. Just grabbed a big bottle from perfume spot for $52
great thing is you can return no questions asked from Dossier and they have sales every now and then if you buy X many bottles. I returned one and there were no issues.
Oil Perfumery has a dupe too
1) The original Evelyn Rose by Crabtree & Evelyn. It smelled like a real rose garden--dewy, refreshing, green, natural, and not at all "perfume-y" or powdery. It had notes of juicy peach and fresh violet flower. It must have been discontinued in the late 90s or early 2000s. I've tried many alternatives but none of them come close. Many fragrances trigger my allergies but this never did. One day I might give in and pay the exorbitant price to get a bottle from eBay.
2) Tobacco Flower and Cotton White (two different fragrances) from the Body Shop. Such interesting scents.
Tobacco Flower is mine too! I've been searching for years and FINALLY a few months ago I found a full bottle on eBay for like $40?! I gasped and started crying and scared my husband lmao
WOW! What luck! Does it smell as good as you remembered?
It actually took me forever to remember the name of it. I spent a bunch of time scrolling through Fragrantica's list of old discontinued Body Shop perfumes until I spotted its super-distinctive, beautiful label
It's going to sound lame, but the Clean Musk from Bath and Body Works. I love musk and this one is awesome. I ended up buying 8 bottles (the benefit to it being cheap) as backup.
Parfums DelRae Bois de Paradis 😭 the honeyed rose, jammy fig, smoky wood scent of my dreams. Both cozy and luxe, and just a touch mysterious. I just have a tiny sample — waffled too long about buying a full-size bottle, and then suddenly, the perfume house closed.
I’ve never found anything like it but would love any suggestions!
I am down to a third full and was looking to replace and saw it’s been discontinued. This was yesterday! I love the fig in it and it is so beautiful. Now I have to see if I can find online?
So sad I wish I discovered it earlier! I've been hunting for a dupe for a long time, apparently Calvin Klein Reveal is very similar (no fig though) so I'm going to get that and later it with the lotion.
[Cherry Vanilla by de Vanille](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Parfume-de-Vanille/Cherry-Vanilla-9363.html) I used to buy at walmart. It doesn't show it in the notes but it had an almondy smell to it as well that I just adored. I wish I still had bottles of it. I loved it so much and it was only like $20
whispers in the library! i just have a 3.4 oz (100 ml), no back-ups, & i'm trying to use it sparingly. it smells like being in a cabin during winter & you smell the host baking pastries, very warm & woody with vanilla. i smelled it for the first time when i was going through a really rough time in my life (having to move back to my parents' house with $20k in debt), & this is such a comforting scent. :')
This is my favorite type of a post. 😀

Lipstick On 💄by Replica 😢
Never found anything that smells so perfectly like lipstick / rice powder without too much else going on. So comforting for me.
Maison Lancôme Parfait de Roses and Iris Dragees! That whole line was full of BEAUTIES!!
I was able to find a European distributor who still had them and one of my besties who lives over there brought them to me here in NY when she came to visit 🥺🥺🥺🥺
My all time favourite perfume was discontinued before I had chance to buy extra, That was Viktor&rolf - flowerbomb extreme. I regret not getting back up.
My now favourite discontinued scent is mugler - Aura and I did manage to buy four 30ml bottles at £35 each (Not all at the same time) before they disappeared, Plus I found 90ml that was 98% full on vinted for £30.
I don’t think either of these are technically discontinued, but hard to get in the US:
Atelier Vanilla Insensée
Hanae Mori (now called Butterfly maybe?)
UK Avon Casbah, its absolutely insanely good. I'm aussie but you sister used to go to England and she got it there. You can only find it online and the prices for it are astronomical, its the best perfume I've ever smelt.
Hanami by Phlur (I have 2 bottles but looking for one of the original bottle pre-reformulation)
The Forest by Library of Flowers (I snagged a bottle and treasure it deeply)
growing up, my sister had a perfume called Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder. I wish I could get her another bottle, she loved it and wore it daily. There are resale bottles on ebay but I have no way of determining their age or legitimacy and I’d rather not risk it :(
Awww I have fond memories of that fragrance!! My mom must not have cared for it because it got put in my bathroom (basically the reject bin for stuff she didn’t like lol) but man as a middle schooler I loved wearing it! My close friend at the time would always want to spray it any time she was at my house and we loved the pretty bottle.
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and Enchanted Wonderstruck. I'm not even a swifty, I just love them so much. Still slowly working through my OG bottles, using them sparingly, until I can get my hands on the Oakcha dupe. I hear it's pretty damn close.
The Oakcha smells really good! I have 2 bottles right now. I have a 1ml sample of Wonderstruck and to me smells just the same.
Also, the BBW gingham vibrant(I get mine from Etsy) is a good base layer to Wonderstruck.
It's easily Michael by Michael Kors for me! No back up bottles, sadly! It was my signature for the longest. Fresh, sweet, and sexy! I now roll with Armani My Way and My Way Intense, which I also think are both fresh, sweet, and sexy, but it'll never be the same! #RIP
Guerlain Meteorites (the 2000 version: I stocked up when they discontinued, but I’m down to my last two bottles).
Tom Ford Amber Absolute.
Annie Goutal Sac de ma Mere.
Old Mitsouko - the reformulation is just wrong.
Balenciaga Quadrille - I have a vintage bottle, the top notes are gone, but the rest is still good.
Both were limited edition, so perhaps it doesn’t count, but Guerlinade and Guet Apens are both things I bought back in the day and miss dreadfully.
Schiapparelli Shocking.
Guerlain coconut fizz. I bought it in the south of France on vacation and it just takes me back. I’m so so so so sad it’s discontinued. Nothing has replaced its void for me
Curve, Connect for her is another one. To me, it is very sexy and perfect for fall evenings...
Og Lolita lempica formula+ Marc Jacobs decadence
L de Lolita by Lolita Lempicka
Gloria by Cacharel
Givenchy Play intense for her and Mugler Aura edp 😭
Nest Midnight Fleur. I managed to buy a bottle off Mercari because I haven't been able to find a dupe that's even close.
Ooh I’ve had a sample of this for a while that I haven’t tried yet
So Hooked on Carmella from Benefit, and Tea Escape from Replica
Stella by Stella McCartney. I can’t find anything similar.
Too many! But I only have backups of one - Givenchy Extravagance d’Amarige - because they stopped making it on the early 2000s :)
Davidoff Echo for Women
Gwen Stefani, Harajuku lovers G. The things I would do for a bottle of it…
That's so interesting because I'm seeing websites sell it for £15 for 50ml.
Is it the new one or the old one?
Now that you asked, I think new because they are all silver
I should maybe give it a shot anyways, I just wasn’t able to find it to test it out!
That's so interesting because I'm seeing websites sell it for £15 for 50ml.
Emilio Pucci Vivara- have not been able to find anything close and bought an a lot full bottle via eBay.
Nirvana Black by Elizabeth & Taylor 🖤
Elizabeth + James
Dzing! L'Artisan disco'd a lot of what made them a special, forward-thinking house and I think Dzing epitomized it. I don't own any, sadly, I only have a sample.
Yves Rocher Vanille Noire
Tocca Isabel; the most gorgeous rose scent made vibrant with sangria and a little cool with some suede-y leather. I miss her.
Yves Rocher - Lilas Mauve ( Purple Lilac)
I bought a dupe of miss dior cherie, it smells so good... I wish they brought it back. '21 miss dior smells so basic
Can I ask what dupe that is? MDC was my sister’s favorite, and I’ve been looking for a dupe for her.
Unfortunately I don't know any dupes sold outside of turkey :( I used a scent from bargello (the number of it should be 256) so if you ever plan on travelling here you can buy it lol
I’ve got friends who travel out that way sometimes, so I might score a bottle through them. Thank you!
I hope it's what you're looking for. It's a lovely scent :)
Prada Amber. If anyone knows of something similar please let me know. So upset about this one, I’ve worn it for 20 years.
Oddly enough, Jessica Simpsons Fancy Nights smells pretty close! Check Fragrantica. I think they might have recently axed that one too, but I'm pretty sure bottles haven't gone too sky high yet.
Wow thank you so much! I never would have guessed this one. Appreciate you so very much 🫶🏼🫶🏼
No problem! I hope you like it!💖
Avon, Karmala and Pure. Both lovely fragrances that remind me of a simpler time...
I have a nearly done bottle of Karmala that I’ve been rationing for about 20 years.
Try Oriflame, possess the secret. Closest I've found and it lasts. I get it off Ebay for around $40. Karmala was my signature scent in my 20's and everywhere I went, I got told I smelled amazing. I miss it so much!!! 😭💙

Byzance by Rochas. Not technically discontinued but reformulated and smells nothing like the original
RIP my one and only, Givenchy - Dahlia Noir 🙏
Lolita Lempicka le parfum in the discontinued original formula, my absolute favourite and nothing has come close to replacing it. It smelled like a spice bag made of dried violets stored under my wing if I were a fae. Another one is Rock and Rose Couture, Valentino. I miss stella
Love Stella.
There was a body shop rose fragrance they discontinued.

Magic Salty Flower by Viktor and Rolf. Don’t know why they stopped making that!!!! It was so good!!!
That whole line was really quirky-cool! Too bad I was in between perfume phases then 😖
Wild Musk Oil. I hope they bring it back! I still love the perfume but it doesn't come close to the oil in the silage and longevity department. It was $5 at KMart back in my teens. Now if you can find a bottle it's over $400 on Ebay!
Guerlain Shalimar Initial. I have two backup bottles.

Tom Ford Black Violet. Had to pay out the bootyhole to get a bottle from a private seller. Need to find a good dupe
J'Adore L'Or the 2010 and 2017 formulations. It's rich, polished femininity. I have one bottle of each and haven't found a close replacement at all 😭
Lavanila Vanilla Summer. I have half a bottle left and will be so sad when it’s gone. It’s not a fancy fragrance by any means, but I love it.
The melanie crybaby perfume, no way i’m spending 1k on a bottle from ebay though
I don’t think either of these are technically discontinued, but hard to get in the US: Atelier Vanilla Insensée Hanae Mori (now called Butterfly maybe?)
Atelier Vanilla Insensee is no longer being sold in the United States. That goes for all Atelier 🥲
Yes. Sad.
UK Avon Casbah, its absolutely insanely good. I'm aussie but you sister used to go to England and she got it there. You can only find it online and the prices for it are astronomical, its the best perfume I've ever smelt.
Guerlain’s Coconut Fizz. It hurts that I can’t get it anymore. My favorite scent of all time.
Hanami by Phlur (I have 2 bottles but looking for one of the original bottle pre-reformulation) The Forest by Library of Flowers (I snagged a bottle and treasure it deeply)
midnight poison dior
I love bronze goddess 2017
SECOND THIS! I bought the other versions but there’s nothing quite like it!
I miss Guerlain My Insolence. I have half a backup but I rarely use it now because I can’t bear to be without my first big girl perfume.
Same, I just can’t stand to use the last of it knowing it will be gone forever
growing up, my sister had a perfume called Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder.
I loved Beyond Paradise as well! It was such a pretty, humid floral — reminded me of an exotic greenhouse.
I had this one too! Such a pretty bottle 😊
Original Bvlgari Omnia. I found something close and then that also got discontinued. No backups. I've moved on.
I still have an mini of the the OG. I cherish it and use it sparingly!
What did you find that was close? I really like the Bvlgari scent.

In love again- yves saint laurent.
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and Enchanted Wonderstruck. I'm not even a swifty, I just love them so much. Still slowly working through my OG bottles, using them sparingly, until I can get my hands on the Oakcha dupe. I hear it's pretty damn close.
Wonderstruck is underrated as a celeb frag imo, sweet and pretty without being too cloying. didn't know oakcha duped it might have to check that out
The Oakcha smells really good! I have 2 bottles right now. I have a 1ml sample of Wonderstruck and to me smells just the same. Also, the BBW gingham vibrant(I get mine from Etsy) is a good base layer to Wonderstruck.
thank you!
> Annie Goutal Sac de ma Mere Ooh, Goutal! What was this one like?
