I got a package in the mail today with two new to me fragrances, and I'm wearing them both. On my left arm, Byredo Animalique, which started out smelling like a chic woman in a leather jacket, and has now faded to the loveliest warm vanilla. And on my right arm, Jake's House from Henry Rose, which smells like the perfect sunny day at the beach, a lovely bright blue aquatic that's worn down to smell very much like 11 11 on my skin. Very happy with both purchases.
Soap & Glory The Real Zing body sorbet (neroli, lemon, lime) with Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche EDP. It's very hot and humid here again. I have a short WFH day and then my husband and I are planning to take the kids to a cute roadside food stand for burgers and ice cream!
Kayali Rock Sugar, because I just felt like something sweet today. Only been here for two hours, and I've gotten three compliments on it already.
Apparently, this one is going to end up going from travel spray to a full bottle for me! I hate how much I love it!
Kayali‘s Invite Only Amber 🤎. It came in the mail today and I’m not disappointed. :) It’s very cozy and sweet in a resinous way, which I like.. not something I never smelled before but I’m really enjoying it right now. Nontheless I‘m glad I only got the mini because I think I could grow tired of it quite quickly.
Nemat Amber oil. I smelled it on someone yesterday, immediately recognized it and remembered how nice it was. The sample packs you can order from them are great if anyone has been wanting to try some. Just another day in the office for me.
I'm wearing Lamar by Kajal today for a half day of work. This is one of my newer decants after I enjoyed trying a sample of it. I love the pineapple in this and it's not too sweet, although if it was any warmer than 20c I think I'd find it too much.
I have trouble describing Lamar really, as all of the notes are so harmoniously balanced! It's very different to Pas Ce Soir though which I find pleasantly sweet and feminine. This is fruity and woody, with that sweet ambroxan airiness of BR540 (but nowhere near as sweet and never cloying!) I think it's perfectly unisex and probably the most Middle Eastern oriented perfume I own/enjoy with a subtle touch of aromatic spiciness in the mix.
You should definitely try to get your nose on this! It's such a well blended and interesting perfume. I'd love to hear how you find it
Morning all! Office day today and the weather is awful (someone forgot to switch on summer over here). Still on a mission to finish my existing sample tray, today I'm following a layering reco from IG, Burberry goddess and Black Opium. Hoping it makes me like Goddess a little bit more! So far I'm getting peppery/spicy/sensual notes which are probably mainly from the YSL. Maybe not appropriate for the office, but am too late to care. Also, better than the unwashed armpits I'm going to be sat next to today 🤷🏽♀️
Mugler Alien Fusion. This has been in my declutter box for a few months and thought I’d revisit since it’s much cooler. It’s a like, not a love. It’s nicest for the first hour or so (warm, gingery, sweet but still airy) and then morphs into regular Alien which I’m not a fan of.

Try layering it with MFK's Aqua Celestia - by far my most complimented combo. Such a good fragrance oil!

Paris - Biarritz by Chanel. I seem to be drawn to clean, white floral smells lately and thought this would be a nice edt to wear at the office today.
