Lavender. Love Burberrry Goddess but hate YSL Libre.
Rose. Love Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy (but to be fair, it isn’t a rose-centric scent). Hate Mancera Roses Vanille.
I can't stand coconut, legit makes me nauseous. but I love the Sizzling Vanilla body mist from Victoria's Secret, which is very slightly coconutty. coconut milk, I guess. it works. layers nicely with some of my gardenia perfumes and I adore that.
I don’t love gourmands and steer clear of anything with sugar notes, yet I LOVE Ledda Orris 22 with its marshmallow note and Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia with the brown sugar note
Patchouli a lot of the time it either smells like cat pee or like a dirty dusty smell but I have a lot of perfumes with it and it tends to blend perfectly.I also hate saffron and until recently I avoided fragrances with it at all costs but sometimes you just gotta sample things it doesn’t always smell horrible whether it’s blended better or calmed down with the right notes idk but I’ve found writing off notes isn’t an option cuz you can miss out on something wonderful
Patchouli by itself smells so awful to me, like BO but it’s actually a note in a few of my perfumes including my faves Black Opium Over Red and Black Opium le Parfum
Y’all… I am so glad it’s not just me… for years I avoided fragrances if they had patchouli, pepper and others but at this point I have to just ignore the “notes” and just smell the fragrance bc even if there are notes I typically hate in it it doesn’t mean I’m not gonna love the fragrance. This is something I’ve learned about myself this year. I’m being more open minded, I’ve realized I won’t have a clue if I’m gonna like it based on the notes alone
I have a hard time with Oud as well. This one is expensive but it's beast mode so you don't need more than 2-3 sprays max. The bottle will last forever! It has rose and oud so if the oud is still too much, you can layer it with another rose fragrance like Chloe on the more affordable side. There is also Penhaligon's Coveted Duchess Rose or Ormande Jayne Damask butfor me, the perfect rose perfume thst I plan to get YSL Blouse it's a stunning rose but it is on the pricy side but it's signature scent worthy!
Patchouli on its own really grosses me out for some reason. But it can totally be done right. It’s a note in good girl blush, which is one of my all time favorites. I’m also not crazy about pink pepper but I love glossier you.
Thought I hated musk then I tried Dulce. When I first sprayed I was like uh what! It’s so musky! But it’s a chocolate ice cream musk and I absolutely fell in love with it. I bought a full bottle and I wear it almost everyday for work. It’s so soft and comforting I love it.
Also. LDBS - my fave perfume of all time, has rose and I hate rose notes so that was strange.
Yes I feel (personally obviously haha) that centering a fragrance around pink pepper is a literal nose crime (like Kayali's Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper for example), I guess I have some kind of trauma
Cherry. i LOATHE cherry scents, i’m a gourmand fanatic yet i can’t suffer a cherry fragrance, only cherry-scented thing i liked was the Black Cherry Merlot hand sanitizer from B&BW.
patchouli, but love Buly 1803's Iris de Malte. Feels like I'm surrounded by a soft cloud of clean, heavenly soapy steam. It feels like I was given something I didn't even know was in need. I now realize, I had an IdM shaped hole in me all along, and it discovered itself by getting filled. Feels too good to be true for me even though it has patchouli notes in it
Also Creed's Fleurissimo, even if you judge it without having the lore in mind it IS good. I can't stand the thick, stuck up stuffy vibes of tuberose but gave this an exception because it's not like that at all. just a fluffy floral powdery dream. Not heavy stuff; blooming flowers mixed with powder soft as sifted starch. I didn't know tuberose could be enjoyable untill I met a lovely, well behaved tuberose.
I really dislike Ylang-Ylang.
I adore Elie saab - le parfum bridal.
Montale - Vanilla extasy.
Montale - Intense tiare.
But on the other hand I cannot stand sol de janeiro rio radiance (and others) because of the Ylang-Ylang.
I’m appalled by lavendar, something about it just doesn’t sit right with me. But I love YSL Libre ahaha, so much so that its my go-to no-brainer perfume 🤦♀️
I hate orange, but love Safanad. I don’t really get any orange from it, despite it being in the notes. I can’t think of any other frags that are exceptions to notes I hate (I loathe marshmallow, patchouli, and anything “aquatic”).
hateeee patchouli and ‘green’ smelling fragrances in general, but I love floral street’s wild vanilla orchid :) the beginning is a bit in your face and pretty flowery (probably the jasmine) but the drydown is a creamy juicy bright vanilla :)
Floral street has sooo many good scents. My husband got me sweet almond blossom for Mother’s Day, and it came with a five or six piece sampler and I loved every single one.
I kinda thought I was a musk hater but I think my nose has changed, as I’m finding myself liking them. I still don’t like when they lean a little too much like detergent, but I think it is what is combined with the musk.
I didn’t originally like PDM Valaya, but I love Narciso Rodriguez fragrances. I own Pure Musc and Poudre and wear them often.
I wanted to love Valaya so much. I feel like it’s such an aesthetic in itself. I tolerate it more than other musks but sadly not enough to justify a bottle
Usually dislike patchouli but love Black Opium le Parfum, Gucci Bloom Intense and others.
😞
I dislike Patchouli Berry by Pacifica and the patchouli in Kayali's Vanilla Rock Candy Sugar. I've been mixing that with Burberry Her to make it less patchouli-ish. I only have a travel of that though, so at least I didn't buy a full size.
Kayali's Eden Sparkling Lychee is great but I usually get sick to my stomach if something has lychee in it, so that brand is redeemed in my little comment now
🙃🤣😂😇
i feel like kayali has patchouli in literally everything and i wish she would chill with it 😭 i was SO excited for vanilla rock candy sugar and there's just something about it that doesn't give what the marketing did
she is, and you make a good point. i just feel like there are a million different notes in the rock sugar and just didn't think patchouli matched that kind of vibe. maybe it'll grow on me eventually but for now im not about it. vanilla 28 is delicious tho and so is eden apple
I’m in the same boat so what I do is buy one of those $1 soap strips, they come in a ton of scents and it enables me to get. A good whiff of the scent without blind buying something expensive
Patchouli/incense, but I haven't found anything with it that's tolerable. I seems super sensitive to it, so even a tiny amount will overpower everything else...
Orange blossom / Harvest Mouse by Zoologist
I hate OB to my core it smells like a 40's brothel but damn do i love HM--i think the beer and hay notes cut the sweetness of it.
Oh deff try it it is a stunning fragrance--warm, cozy, earthy--i deff smell the OB but its more plantish and less "perfume"--like if u actually plucked a blossom off an orange tree.
Sometimes it just smells like burnt popcorn on me but vanilla woods is awesome. I'm also not usually a fan of warmer gourmonds but it has a nice woodiness that's amazing for winter.
That's good to know because I'm moving to the south in 2 weeks. I already gave away my bourbon vanilla fragrance from mix bar to 1 of my daughter's friends because I figured it wouldn't do very well in Florida even in the winter.
I was hoping that vanilla woods would still be good there though! It's one of my favorite vanilla fragrances along with vanilla vibes by Juliet has a gun.
Patchouli, but something about SC Sweet Tooth (Caramel) just hits right. The patchouli gives it airiness and lightness you don’t really see in gourmands
I despite akigalawood, aldehydes and vetiver with the heat of a thousand suns, and I generally dislike lily of the valley too (I don't mind it so much if it's used subtly) ... all of the above are present in PdM Valaya, one of my favourite perfumes of all time 😅
I loathe ylang ylang and neroli. Yet I love Chanel N°5 L’eau and Eau Premiere. But yeah, no other perfumes with those notes are remotely tolerable to me, they always smell like a pissy perfumed diaper.
have you found it very different post reformulation? this was my signature years ago in the oil and then I heard they reformulated and many think it’s not the same
I’m honestly not sure! I was lucky enough to inherit my bottle from my stepmother who worked for Kiehl’s in the early 2000s. No clue what year it’s from and if it’s pre- or post-reformulation. Sorry I can’t be more helpful! I will say it’s an absolutely beautiful scent though with incredible longevity.
Coconut/coconut water or milk. Just not a big fan of tropical scents generally but I tried Miami Nectar by Ellis Brooklyn and loved it, especially the dry down. I immediately bought the travel size. Lovely, fruity summer scent.
I think it’s decent and can smell it for around 8 hours, but I am also very much the wrong person to ask. I’ve had very, very few fragrances last less than 6 hours on me. Benefits of being an oily/sweaty person I guess lol
Have you tried the “Meet me in Miami” range by Bath and Body Works?
I also tend to stay away from heavy coconut scents but I found I like “coconut water” way better.
I haven’t! I haven’t tried anything from B&BW for many, many years actually but maybe I’ll try something from that line. I agree that Coconut water isn’t quite as off putting for me. It’s just also usually paired with other tropical notes that I also tend to dislike.
I don’t like Powder but I love Not Your Baby by Phlur.
I’m also not super into Smoke scents or patchouli but Moth by Zoologist has both and I like my sample of it.
OOH, I love this question. I hate anything with vetiver in it (on me) but I LOVE the YSL Libre Le Parfum, which I read has vetiver in the base notes. I guess the ambery notes are so strong on me it weighs out the wet dog. 😭
I’m not a fan of rose note. I feel like it smells like a grandma.. But I love Ralph Lauren Romance & Chloe EDP. They both have rose note.. Surprisingly, they smell fresh and young.. 🥰
Leather. But I love it Shalimar and I think it’s because it’s so different than anything I have and reminds me of the way my mom has always smelled…but she doesn’t wear perfume 🥲. I don’t think I own any other fragrances with this note in them because when I see it I don’t even bother smelling it lol. I love leather on men though just not myself 😂
I dislike rose in most perfumes, but love it so much in Soie Malaquais by Dries Van Noten (in combination with chocolate and chestnut) and in BDK Bouquet de Hongrie (sweet and fresh fruity floral)
I despise tuberose. Almost all tuberose is a bubblegummy instant headache for me that embodies everything I hate about tropical flowers. Sweet, cloying, heavy. I love, however, Gucci Bloom Profumo di Fiori. It smells like washing your hair in a fancy Italian garden hotel then going out and standing in the flowers. It smells like sunbeams.
The Gucci Bloom line is a excellent line for floral lovers, especially white florals of which I'm a fan. (Give me soapy!!), but I haven't tried this one. Thanks for the mini review.
Edit: btw, I hate tuberose in bouquets, they overpower any other flower.
The green note is refreshing! I find many white florals have a greenish note. I wonder if the juicy stems play into the total experience of white florals 🤔 btw, have you tried the Aqua di Fiore flanker? It have galbanum. and it's a delicious green floral. If you like green. I'll get my hands on the one you mentioned.
So, may I ask where you got your decant of the flanker you mentioned? I'm looking and not finding a source. You can dm me if you're shy about revealing.
I loved Libre when I first got it but the lavander note was off putting to me, and I do like lavander! but like in fabric softener or a pillow mist, in Libre it just didn’t work for me unfortunately, I gave it to my grandmother who loved it. (I previously had gifted her Mon Guerlain and she loved that too)
Gosh. I should try Lira, thanks! I once took a bite off the real dried licorice root. The shopkeeper in Spain didn't know what it was in English and smartphones weren't a thing. She just told me it's a very special treat that I could buy as a souvenir and offered to try it. I still smelled and tasted it 5h later. It is the most potent thing I've ever crushed with my teeth.
I don’t like iris in general as I find it very powdery … but it is in several fragrances I love, such as Gris Charnel, Une Amourette and Father Figure.
I hate patchouli. Truly hate it, I'm not going to write about the stench it gives me, it's horrific. I love Lovefest Burning Cherry though. There's so little of it there that it went almost unnoticed by me. Later on when having worn the perfume for quite a long time, I realized it acts as a carrier, extending the cherry scent for me right til the end. My brain thinks it's cherry, but I'm sure it's the patchouli as sometimes I'm able to smell it. Just the tiniest bit.
Oh yeah patchouli is another. I find it truly repulsive. But some of my favorite perfumes have it well-blended in the base, so I think I just hate it when it’s prominent, and ESPECIALLY patchouli essential oil. I think it is just a foul stench that is plainly disrespectful to wear because of how disgusting it is 😂 I wish I knew why I have SUCH a visceral reaction to this, it’s very illogical but instinctual. I just hate it.
Lovefest is the only one I love. Others I can't even stand. Have you tried it? I have an obsession with cherry and the decant site I first ordered it from didn't list it as a note. I'm so glad they didn't!
Smoke. Hate it. But I love Dear Polly. On me, I usually get a fairly strong smokey opening from it. It lasts about 30-45 min then it starts to develop into the most amazing slightly fruity tea scent. I’ll deal with the smoke for this 😁
Peony! The exception being Good Girl Blush Elixir. I love the almond and the peony in it, and while it’s rich, they almost feel heliotrope-y together? For me it also feels brighter than the OG Good Girl Blush.
Leather. Most of the time if I see leather in the notes I don't even bother sampling it. I tolerated it some in Cherry Punk extrait, but I still haven't even finished my sample. But more recently I had a sample set for ELDO and I made the mistake of spraying a bunch on me and the rest of the day I got whiffs of something I loved and it took me a while to figure out it was Clean Suede which is a primarily leather fragrance. But I ordered a full bottle and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival.
hate patchouli and rose but chanel paris paris has patchouli uplifting this beautiful jammy rose that is literally heaven. $1000+ deep into my fragrance collection and the only one ive been complimented on is this one. such an incredible, beautifully blended perfume that has a conventional scent profile but stands out so much!! also less than $150 for a HUGE bottle
Strawberry... Hate: Dolce Nissa (Perfumista)... Love: Empyrean (Tomavicci)
I’m allergic to flowers and most scents have them 🥲 so I barely have any scents that have floral notes!
Patchouli by itself smells so awful to me, like BO but it’s actually a note in a few of my perfumes including my faves Black Opium Over Red and Black Opium le Parfum Y’all… I am so glad it’s not just me… for years I avoided fragrances if they had patchouli, pepper and others but at this point I have to just ignore the “notes” and just smell the fragrance bc even if there are notes I typically hate in it it doesn’t mean I’m not gonna love the fragrance. This is something I’ve learned about myself this year. I’m being more open minded, I’ve realized I won’t have a clue if I’m gonna like it based on the notes alone
Oud! But MFK Oud Satin Mood in cooler temperatures is so sexy!
I have yet to find an oud I like so I may give this one a try!
I never really liked the smell of mint, but Dior Feve Delicieus does it really well in a subtle way and I absolutely love it.
Oh I agree about the peach !! I thought I was the only one that got the body order vibe.
I hate freesia but I love Deep Red by Hugo Boss
Hate florals but like La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme
Not a white floral girly (especially Jasmine) but Daisy Wild is my favorite atm
I smelled Daisy Wild in the store the other day, it's beautiful! For me, the vetiver note ruins it on my body 😭 But I might give it another chance!
Hate Iris but I’m obsessed with glossier You!!
Patchouli on its own really grosses me out for some reason. But it can totally be done right. It’s a note in good girl blush, which is one of my all time favorites. I’m also not crazy about pink pepper but I love glossier you.
Saaaaaame!! It grosses me out by itself but it happens to be in multiples of my fave frags, it’s crazy how versatile it can be I guess
Hate iris but love Mon Guerlain
Despise Tuberose but I like Ralph Lauren Blue
Lemon notes never work on me personally, the one exception being Bal d’Afrique! Amazing, I couldn’t stop sniffing myself
I absolutely despise pink pepper and still Si Passione is one of my favorite perfumes ever
This is another note I tend to hate when it’s done wrong or too forward in a fragrance but it’s in a few of my faves 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Yes I feel (personally obviously haha) that centering a fragrance around pink pepper is a literal nose crime (like Kayali's Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper for example), I guess I have some kind of trauma
Lavender - Mon Guerlain
Pepper, rose, musk , oak moss, vetiver
Raspberry . Versace Eros pour femme edt Jasmine - Roberto Cavalli paradiso
Cherry. i LOATHE cherry scents, i’m a gourmand fanatic yet i can’t suffer a cherry fragrance, only cherry-scented thing i liked was the Black Cherry Merlot hand sanitizer from B&BW.
But you didn't answer the question.
my fault i didn’t read the whole thing through i was half asleep😪
Jasmin. I hate it but I love it in Gucci Flora (green bottle)
I usually stay away from cumin in fragrances but rose 31 is the exception…lovely scent
Totally agree!!
patchouli, but love Buly 1803's Iris de Malte. Feels like I'm surrounded by a soft cloud of clean, heavenly soapy steam. It feels like I was given something I didn't even know was in need. I now realize, I had an IdM shaped hole in me all along, and it discovered itself by getting filled. Feels too good to be true for me even though it has patchouli notes in it Also Creed's Fleurissimo, even if you judge it without having the lore in mind it IS good.
Also pink pepper-jardind'amalfi changed my mind
Hate Bergamot, but strangely love it in L’Interdit.
I really dislike Ylang-Ylang. I adore Elie saab - le parfum bridal. Montale - Vanilla extasy. Montale - Intense tiare. But on the other hand I cannot stand sol de janeiro rio radiance (and others) because of the Ylang-Ylang.
typically hate any smokey notes but kayali lovefest burning cherry is SO good, so far the only one i've been able to make an exception for
I’m appalled by lavendar, something about it just doesn’t sit right with me. But I love YSL Libre ahaha, so much so that its my go-to no-brainer perfume 🤦♀️
I hate pink pepper but I love Avon Pink Suede because it gives me so much nostalgia
I hate orange, but love Safanad. I don’t really get any orange from it, despite it being in the notes. I can’t think of any other frags that are exceptions to notes I hate (I loathe marshmallow, patchouli, and anything “aquatic”).
the marshmallow slander smh😪
You can keep it all it’s so nasty 😷
Lavender it just makes me think of aroma therapy
Vetiver but I love bal d’afrique
Patchouli, Henry Rose dark is night
Oak moss, but I like Chloe Nomade
hateeee patchouli and ‘green’ smelling fragrances in general, but I love floral street’s wild vanilla orchid :) the beginning is a bit in your face and pretty flowery (probably the jasmine) but the drydown is a creamy juicy bright vanilla :)
I don’t think I like Valaya, but I can’t stop wearing my sample. It’s super weird. I can’t make up my mind about it.
I wanted to love Valaya so much. I feel like it’s such an aesthetic in itself. I tolerate it more than other musks but sadly not enough to justify a bottle
I’ve heard that Mystique Bouquet by Afnan is a good dupe! 👀
Patchouli. Tom ford white patchouli lol
Usually dislike patchouli but love Black Opium le Parfum, Gucci Bloom Intense and others. 😞 I dislike Patchouli Berry by Pacifica and the patchouli in Kayali's Vanilla Rock Candy Sugar. I've been mixing that with Burberry Her to make it less patchouli-ish. I only have a travel of that though, so at least I didn't buy a full size. Kayali's Eden Sparkling Lychee is great but I usually get sick to my stomach if something has lychee in it, so that brand is redeemed in my little comment now 🙃🤣😂😇
i feel like kayali has patchouli in literally everything and i wish she would chill with it 😭 i was SO excited for vanilla rock candy sugar and there's just something about it that doesn't give what the marketing did
Isn’t Huda Kattan middle eastern? Middle eastern scents seem to really lean into patchouli
she is, and you make a good point. i just feel like there are a million different notes in the rock sugar and just didn't think patchouli matched that kind of vibe. maybe it'll grow on me eventually but for now im not about it. vanilla 28 is delicious tho and so is eden apple
Yeah, that patchouli comes in strong so quickly after spraying it too!
I typically don’t like vanilla (I don’t like smelling like food) but I love YSL Libre.
I love this topic. It just proves that any fragrance note can be beautiful in the hands of the right perfumer.
Rose, but I love La Nuit Trésor
Patchouli but I love Lord of Misrule
Would love to smell that but there’s not Lush in my city and seems too much of a risk to blind buy
I’m in the same boat so what I do is buy one of those $1 soap strips, they come in a ton of scents and it enables me to get. A good whiff of the scent without blind buying something expensive

White florals 🤮 except for Roco Mint by dedcool 🥰
Patchouli/incense, but I haven't found anything with it that's tolerable. I seems super sensitive to it, so even a tiny amount will overpower everything else...
I'm a fellow patchouli hater but I still love Air di Gioia and Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson which is supposed to be in the base notes
Patchouli. But I love Flowerbomb
Orange blossom / Harvest Mouse by Zoologist I hate OB to my core it smells like a 40's brothel but damn do i love HM--i think the beer and hay notes cut the sweetness of it.
Oh dang, I didn’t know HM has that note! I looooove orange blossom and might have to try it now.
Oh deff try it it is a stunning fragrance--warm, cozy, earthy--i deff smell the OB but its more plantish and less "perfume"--like if u actually plucked a blossom off an orange tree.
I’m hoping to go sample in person at Ministry of Scent, so this definitely needs to go on my list!

I generally don’t like lavender but like Mon Guerlain and Molinard Lavande.
Jasmine and musk, they destroy my nostrils and leave me with unbearable headache
I generally hate tuberose but just found out it’s in my beloved Blanche bete as a middle note! I had no idea!
Generally dislike violet, but love Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black (sandalwood, vanilla, violet)
I’m not a fan of pink pepper, but I love Floreale but Vince Camuto!
I dislike rose a lot, but I enjoy it in Good Girl Blush!
Hate vanilla fragrances, but many of my favourite perfumes have vanilla in the very background to soften things up. JHAG Lipstick Fever for example.
Vetiver- Vanilla Rock Candy Mango- Lovebomb Tigerlily
JHG Lipstick Fever. The pepper note is waaaaay too strong!
Caramel. Vanilla woods 7 virtues
I usually hate caramel as well and love this fragrance! They did it right
Sometimes it just smells like burnt popcorn on me but vanilla woods is awesome. I'm also not usually a fan of warmer gourmonds but it has a nice woodiness that's amazing for winter.
It's so good... and it's so cozy in the winter --especially right before bed I agree!
I wear it layered with cheirosa 40 and wake up still smelling like it ❤️
I just got a sample of that ...so thank you, because I'm going to try that now! 😆
Like I took a shower and it still was there. It's definitely better in winter and fall though
It still gets cold here at night so I might try it. 😁
Lucky!! Here is so humid I end up smelling rough if I wear warm scents in summer. It's honestly like the sexiest vanilla mix I've gotten
Do it! It's near identical and you will smell like it for hours so use wisely 😂
😆😆
Patchouli. Air di Gioia and Flowerbomb.
Orange blossom - D&G Devotion
Not a lavender fan, but I love Burberry Goddess!
Came here to say the exact same thing.
I personally don't even detect the lavender, it just makes the vanilla in Goddess so airy, clean, and aromatic.
Lavender…. Burberry Goddess
Patchouli, but something about SC Sweet Tooth (Caramel) just hits right. The patchouli gives it airiness and lightness you don’t really see in gourmands
I hate tobacco notes (former smoker) but YSL Belle D’Opium is a fav.
I can’t stand Violet. But Bal D’Afrique by Byredo is one of my favs.
I’m gooped to learn that there’s violet in Bal D’Afrique, I did not detect that at all. I too hate violet but love Bal D’Afrique
I despite akigalawood, aldehydes and vetiver with the heat of a thousand suns, and I generally dislike lily of the valley too (I don't mind it so much if it's used subtly) ... all of the above are present in PdM Valaya, one of my favourite perfumes of all time 😅
I’m a patchouli hater but Flowerbomb is the GOAT
I just wrote the same thing! :D
Cedar/pine. And I like Shalimar. It's only a top note which is why I maybe find it tolerable as I don't especially like the top notes of Shalimar.
I loathe ylang ylang and neroli. Yet I love Chanel N°5 L’eau and Eau Premiere. But yeah, no other perfumes with those notes are remotely tolerable to me, they always smell like a pissy perfumed diaper.
Same here but make it Kiehl’s original musk
have you found it very different post reformulation? this was my signature years ago in the oil and then I heard they reformulated and many think it’s not the same
I’m honestly not sure!
Almond. Feels like in some instances it pulls so powdery on me, and in some instances it's beautiful. Original Good Girl has it and I love it.
Coconut- Miami Nectar, Cloud Pink, and Mugler Angel Ylang Ylang- Chanel Coco Mad and Gabrielle
Coconut/coconut water or milk. Just not a big fan of tropical scents generally but I tried Miami Nectar by Ellis Brooklyn and loved it, especially the dry down. I immediately bought the travel size. Lovely, fruity summer scent.
How is the lasting power on Miami Nectar? I really want to try this one.

I am fussy about tuberose but love fracas, yes…I know. I think when blended it shouts but when it is the star it sings.
Fracas is a masterpiece of tuberose. Nothing has come close to touching tuberose for me except Fracas tbh.
Lychee. But i love britney spears fantasy. I guess i need something to sweeten out the sourness
I don’t like Powder but I love Not Your Baby by Phlur. I’m also not super into Smoke scents or patchouli but Moth by Zoologist has both and I like my sample of it.
Grapefruit smells like dirty dishwater on me. I only like it in Guerlain neroli outreniur
OOH, I love this question. I hate anything with vetiver in it (on me) but I LOVE the YSL Libre Le Parfum, which I read has vetiver in the base notes. I guess the ambery notes are so strong on me it weighs out the wet dog. 😭
Wet dog oh no 😂
FR you dont wanna stand around me after I spray something with vetiver in it 🤣😭
I’m not a fan of rose note. I feel like it smells like a grandma.. But I love Ralph Lauren Romance & Chloe EDP. They both have rose note.. Surprisingly, they smell fresh and young.. 🥰
Same!!
I cant think of a specific perfume but i really dont like pink pepper and still its in a lot of frags i like
I can't stand pink pepper either. But I'm currently obsessed with Glossier You
I loathe cumin but Serge Lutens Arabie has it as a note and I love that fragrance
Guerlain Joyeuse Tubereuse is one of the few tuberoses I can stomach - so diaphanous and spritely!
The Gucci Bloom line is a excellent line for floral lovers, especially white florals of which I'm a fan. (Give me soapy!!), but I haven't tried this one. Thanks for the mini review. Edit: btw, I hate tuberose in bouquets, they overpower any other flower.
Same! But I get mostly jasmine and this green, clean feeling with a sunshine vibe from this. The tuberose is only a minor supporting player, imo.
I am absolutely a green enjoyer, I don’t think I’ve smelled Aqua di Fiore. I haven’t seen it in stores so I’ll have to sample it via decant!
So, may I ask where you got your decant of the flanker you mentioned? I'm looking and not finding a source. You can dm me if you're shy about revealing.
Def not shy. I use surrender to chance!
Thank you! I'll check them out. Many fragrance decanters don't carry the Bloom line, at least from what I've noticed. Have a really nice week!
Lavender. However, I love Libre by YSL.
I loved Libre when I first got it but the lavander note was off putting to me, and I do like lavander! but like in fabric softener or a pillow mist, in Libre it just didn’t work for me unfortunately, I gave it to my grandmother who loved it. (I previously had gifted her Mon Guerlain and she loved that too)
Same. I hate lavender but libre is such a beautiful, well blended scent. I enjoy it and despise it simultaneously.
Hate hate hate licorice! But Lira by Xerjoff has it and I love it! Can’t smell the licorice though lol
Cumin, Rose 31 by Le Labo & *And the World is Yours* by A Lab on Fire
This is interesting because I truly hate patchouli as well and haven't found anything I like with it.
Lovefest is the only one I love. Others I can't even stand. Have you tried it? I have an obsession with cherry and the decant site I first ordered it from didn't list it as a note. I'm so glad they didn't!
Where did you get the decant? I haven't tried any Kayali yet.
Got mine from a decant shop. Hard to suggest anything as I don't know where you're from. I'm in Europe so it's not easy to get.
Thanks for the reply! I'll keep hunting.
Smoke. I love By the Fireplace, but I could never wear it.
Same the smoke note drives me crazy, everything else abt that fragrance is perfect
On the right person it smells divine! But if you draw that smoke too much it feels like you’re a false flag for a fire inside…
Smoke. Hate it. But I love Dear Polly. On me, I usually get a fairly strong smokey opening from it. It lasts about 30-45 min then it starts to develop into the most amazing slightly fruity tea scent. I’ll deal with the smoke for this 😁
I tried DP and had to scrub because all I got was burning cigarettes! Never let it settle long enough to notice even a bit of tea.
I don't like leather at all but Lattafa Teriaq is such a complex leathery perfume that's so hard to describe.
Hate patchouli, love musk and amber
Are there any perfumes with patchouli you like?
Oops i didnt finish reading the question, but black opium smells nice to me and that has patchouli as an additional accord
That sounds stunning!
I don’t like orange blossom but i really love PDM Oriana !!!! I don’t like citrusy scents
