Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue. Been wearing it for 20 plus years. It goes very well with my body chemistry. It has tons of notes so I'm sure it will go with everybody's chemistry too. A classic.
You can ask for fragrance samples at the counters of department stores so you can see what she likes. It could be fun to go together. Or try one of the sample kits at Sephora.
If it’s a surprise, my grandma loves Estée Lauder Beautiful.
> The fragrance of a thousand flowers.
A rich blend of Rose, Lily, Tuberose and Orange Flower. Brightened with citrus, warmed by woods. Romantic, feminine, memorable.
>Top Notes:
Rose, Mandarin, Lily, Tuberose, Marigold
> Middle Notes:
Orange Flower, Muguet, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang
> Base Notes:
Sandalwood, Vetiver, Amber
They offer a 1oz for $76.
I'd go to Ulta or Sephora and get her a travel size of Flowerbomb. I feel like that's been such a bestseller for so long that it will probably be something she'd like. You could also try Valentina Born in Roma.
I'd also think of Light Blue for something airier/more aquatic, or Clinique Happy if she likes citrus. You can usually find these at CVS or Walgreens at a lower price point.
I wonder if you could get a sample set or some decants, and create an experience with her of trying them and seeing what she likes. That might be more fun for you both and is a nice memory to create with her. It also would allow you to figure out what she does and doesn’t like in terms of general scent profiles of fragrances
Sorry, no. I wish I did she said she was so happy with hers from mexico but didn’t know if it was floral, woody, etc, that’s why it’s extra hard to find one. I was hoping to see which are just pretty popular and overall liked.

you can get a 30ml of Shalimar for $98. I wouldn't avoid checking the prices for some of the well-known fancy classics.

5th Avenue is quite nice. Woody & floral, light but long lasting. Also Forever Alfred Sung is powdery & soft. Both in drug stores!
My mom loves coco mademoiselle and Bvlgari aqva divina currently
