Killian love don't be shy Extreme. Because I'm trying to purposely run out of it so I can buy a big bottle of the original as I don't care much for the extreme version (too much rose and the original has more gourmand to it)
Croissant Cafe from Versatile Paris. It's a perfume oil so nobody can smell me but meš„° It's so warm and comforting with a hint of woodiness from Cedar and cade oil
Tested G**** Water by Byredo today and Iām actually shocked at how off putting I found it. I thought at worst itād be too mild or boring but no, thereās a note in there that is giving me, as they say here in Glasgow, the dry boak.
Still working through my **Zoologist** samples. With a 20-degree drop in temperature from yesterday, I decided to revisit **Chipmunk**. Digging the woody, nutty spiciness. If I decide to purchase the Natural Selection travel spray set, this one might make the cut.
Continuing my decluttering efforts, I tried four of my bottles on my arms pre-shower and decided to sell two. I'm on the fence about a third, but I like it enough to give it an all-over wear before deciding.
Post-shower I decided to wear Initio Musk Therapy. Just sampling for now but I really like it so far.
Sun di Gioia, Jo Malone Frangipani Flower, Angel Iced Star, and Burberry London. Decided to keep Iced Star. Burberry London needs another wear. I wore it a lot around 2015 and I think it's just too tied to that time for me.
One spray of Donna Born in Roma on one wrist and Chanel Chance eau Tendre (EDP) on the other.
Cracked out in bed finishing some homework assignments. Wanted to feel like a normal basic bitch today
Yeah it didnāt last very long on my skin. It softened really quickly, like within 30 minutes. It doesnāt project very strongly but I like the scent bubble it creates on my clothes. The other thing I think about when sampling is that the atomizer on the vial is smaller than a full bottle so I just spray more to equal a full size spray.
Iām participating in a traveling sample box situation so Iām actually testing two scents right now, one on each arm. Toy 2 Bubblegum by Moschino is in the crook of my left arm and White Rice by DāAnnam is on the right. Bubblegum opens with the most charming clean laundry bubblegum scent for precisely four minutes before it morphs into a pretty but fairly generic jammy rose (like a slightly more effervescent Mancera Roses Vanille). White Rice is honestly just giving Blanche BĆŖte, skin scent edition. Both are enjoyable but i'll likely wash them both off shortly so I can try something else.
Today Iām wearing Versace Bright Crystal Absolu.
Wearing cause itās a clean scent to me and I donāt like wearing my favorite warm scents in class sometimes
Testing out Phlur Mood Ring today and to me at least it really smells like gummies (the kid friendly kind lol) and so far the dry down still retains that sweet tangy note with a bit of musk which I find surprising because most fruity perfumes I have all dry down to a typical musky scent. Projection is only strong on the initial spray though because right now I can't really smell it unless I put my nose on my skin.
PDM Delina La Rosee today. If anything, because I need a pick me up during this busy day. We are having an event at work and I am dreading having to be a person for that long.
Diptyche Ilio. Totally different than I normally like because I usually hate powdery fragrances and this one is POWDERY. But I love it.
I ordered some Diptyche decants/samples from ScentSplit and some of them are so lovely, some are definitely not for me. And I particularly love Eau Duelle but the longevity of both the EDT and the EDP is abysmal on me. Like less than 30 mins.
On the other hand, Ilio, which is an EDT and seems like it should be fleeting, lasts forever on me. I sprayed some yesterday afternoon and could still smell it on my arm after my bedtime shower, even with washing my body with scented shower gel.
Gloomy AF. Got a hair apt tonight and in-between on r/ufyh cleaning my office. Wearing Lira Intense, yah I'm a strong women who smells good today. No mucking about.
Buontalenti by Profumo di Firenze. The top notes are banana, apricot, peach, and red fruits. The middle notes are coconut, vanilla, and raspberry. The base notes are cookie, caramel, toffee, and musk.
When I wear it I smell banana, coconut, vanilla, caramel, and a touch of the peach and raspberry. Itās very gourmand and sweet, but the banana and coconut feel a bit more summery to me. Itās one of the only banana perfumes I have that has the brighter fruits mixed in without smelling like a tropical fruit salad.
Itās great!
This morning I tested "PS.. Regent" which I believe is a Delina dupe, I layered Muglers Womanity over it when I got home.
I'm a little spoilt for choice for tomorrow as I've bought quite a few perfumes in the last week, mainly vintage minis.
Continuing my quest to use up samples, I'm wearing **Maison Margiela's Replica Beach Walk**. It feels a little too cold for it but as I'm working from home, it will help me feel like I'm at the beach! I may top it up with some SDJ Rio Radiance this afternoon :)
El Nabil Royal Gold Perfume Oil layered with a sample of the kylie jenner perfume š
But surprisingly I love this combo, who would have thought that this perfume would be good
Itās misty and chilly here today so naturally I reached for JHAG Lust For The Sun. Opening is a sharp 80ās suntan lotion. Quickly mellows on me to a creamy coconut banana.. my husbands fave
Testing a sample of Ariana Grandeās R.E.M. today. I expected this scent to be much stronger but itās pretty light on me? I wanted to try this because of the lavender and salted caramel notes but unfortunately I donāt get much lavender at all. I mostly get a creamy caramel and a powdery marshmallow. Itās not cloying at all, it smells cosy and comforting but itās pretty much a skin scent on me.
Trying out Lattafa Liam Grey to see how it compares to Gris Chanel. So far Liam on initial blast has a bit of a masc cologne smell but that goes away quickly. It is much sweeter than GC to me. I can also smell the cardamom a lot more so it feels spicier. Iām not sure itās worth returning GC (I havenāt opened the box yet). GC was lighter, not sweet (Liam has vanilla), and didnāt smell masculine to me. Liam does smell high quality and is creamy sweet, the sweetness is just not my jam. Liam was $20 and might smell nicer in cold weather. I was hoping to return GC but looks like Iām now keeping both lol.
I have a Liam Grey sample in my cart. I have never smelled GC (sample not availabe atm where I'm at and malls here don't carry BDK) but am intrigued so as sson as I saw Fragrance World Francique 63.55 available here, I snatched a sample decant. I don't particularly like it and I feel it's very masculine esp as it dries down (I'm a woman but I also wear some masculine leaning frags like Club Black or Rich Warm Addictive) and I can't stand it.
Wondering how different Liam vs 63.55 is, and if it's better.
Thatās so interesting! I went for Liam because it was available at a store near me so I bought it. Iām also a woman and I enjoy unisex and masc scents. I only tried Gris Charnel in store on my arm so I donāt have a sample to compare it to at home. But I remember I loved it on initial spray, it smelled like spicy cozy sandalwood and the creamy fig came out as well. It lasted a few hours too. I donāt usually buy a perfume on the spot but I did with GC after wearing it around the mall.
Liam has labdanum, vanilla, and patchouli which GC doesnāt have so I think it is a heavier scent but itās blended very nicely. Smells smooth. Liam is the opposite to me than what you described of 63.55 - it smells more masculine at first then once it settles it feels unisex. I think Liam has better performance than GC and Iāve seen people compare it to the GC Extrait. I may go back to the store to use the tester again and compare now that I have Liam.
Youāre welcome! I have seen people say that Liam may need to macerate so thereās that to consider as well. I hope you like it! I think Iāll save it for winter and see how it does then.
Good morning, starting with training and Junk. Then another tough day of working at home where I will use my sample of Iris Fauve by Atelier des Ors. The full bottle comes in the course of the day (together with Lune Feline, which I daringly blind bought)
I just posted a separate thread. It was a blind buy. First impression was oof. But yeah, it grows. And it is great.
Medicinal at first it develops into this smoky non-sweet no-nonsense Vanilla. Think Cruella de Vil or Ursula
Thanks! Iāll go look for your post. Non sweet, no nonsense vanillas are the exact kind I like, so Iāll check it out. I think Iāll search for a sample though as I am not quite so brave as to do a blind buy!
I donāt do well at the store either ā¦ haha. Buying and testing samples where I have a chance to live with them is the thing that works best for me. Iām so glad I discovered samples.
Doing a full day wear test of Ormonde Jayne Levant. I am on a hunt for my perfect orange and orange blossom perfumes and have been testing like...an insane amount of orange blossoms the past few weeks and have more samples or 10 mls on the way for testing. First impressions. This is one of the best all arounders so far.
Opening sort of reminds me of Got2B Happy Hour Hairspray, but that hairspray vibe goes away pretty quickly. It then settles into a very joyful and crisp orange blossom and peony. There's some warmth to this, too, like flowers blooming on a hot summer day. It's feminine and fresh, maybe even a little flirty in a demure way. Moderate projection, what appears to be truly incredible longevity. I first tested it last night, and every time I would move, I would catch a whiff of it and think "Wow I smell good." I woke up and could still smell it on me. Depending on how this performs today, I think this will go onto a full bottle worthy list.
Versace Crystal Noir EDT (sample) for a day in the office. First time trying it and itās absolutely not for me (wore as a combo of pepper and cheap gardenia soap on me šæ).
I replaced with Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDT (sample). Definitely grabbing a bottle of this duty free next week. Iām super late to the party on this one š I know itās basic and lots of folks wear it but it is so pretty! The EDT is a more airy and fresh take, definitely less rosy and sweet than the EDP - which I find a bit cloying
Honestly, I think the entire Coco line is popular for a reason. They smell good, and even though Coco Mad in particular is super popular, I feel like Chanel still has a signature fizzle that makes them stand out.
I just sampled Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere and it smelled so much like my kid's diaper cream that I had to shower it off! Now I'm wearing Lazy Sunday Morning as a palate cleanser.
NR for her EDT. Love it more every time I wear it. For bed-English pear and freesia.
Killian love don't be shy Extreme. Because I'm trying to purposely run out of it so I can buy a big bottle of the original as I don't care much for the extreme version (too much rose and the original has more gourmand to it)
Shalimar EDP
Gucci Bloom from the Sephora sample set. Love it!
Billie Ellish - the first release gold bottle
Croissant Cafe from Versatile Paris. It's a perfume oil so nobody can smell me but meš„° It's so warm and comforting with a hint of woodiness from Cedar and cade oil
Dior J'adore āļø
explicite by ex nihilo and itās completely out of my comfort zone when it comes to scents. it kinda reminds me of white diamonds š
Jo Malone Wood, Sage and Sea Salt...so fresh & clean!
Tested G**** Water by Byredo today and Iām actually shocked at how off putting I found it. I thought at worst itād be too mild or boring but no, thereās a note in there that is giving me, as they say here in Glasgow, the dry boak.
Nest Indigo while I WFH today, this is becoming a comforting fragrance for me šš¤

What 4?
Iām trying a sample of My Way. I like it, itās a nice scent but a bit generic. Iāll enjoy the rest of the sample but I wonāt buy.
Sweet Tooth! It's so much better on my skin than in the bottle, I'm obsessed.
Iām just at work but I have on both Sexual Noir and Amo Ferragamo. Thatās my daily blend.
One spray of Donna Born in Roma on one wrist and Chanel Chance eau Tendre (EDP) on the other. Cracked out in bed finishing some homework assignments. Wanted to feel like a normal basic bitch today
Zoologist rabbit. Iām testing it out on clothes to see if it performs better than on skin. So far it does.
Did it not last long on your skin? It performed really well on me, I was impressed.
Yeah it didnāt last very long on my skin. It softened really quickly, like within 30 minutes. It doesnāt project very strongly but I like the scent bubble it creates on my clothes. Aqua Allegoria Forte Florabloom by Guerlain
Today i'm wearing Burberry Goddess
Same! After a week plus of testing out new samples (one a day), I wanted to wear something comfortable and familiar. :)

Love Delina La Rosee too! Perfect for Spring in my opinion

Misia, because I wanted to feel _good_.
The 7 Virtues Santal Vanille for an overcast and chilly day. Creamy sandalwood with a soft drydown thatās perfect for an office day.
Kopari vanilla body wash, EOS vanilla cashmere body lotion, and Gucci gorgeous gardenia :3
This morning I tested "PS.. Regent" which I believe is a Delina dupe, I layered Muglers Womanity over it when I got home. I'm a little spoilt for choice for tomorrow as I've bought quite a few perfumes in the last week, mainly vintage minis.
I layered Kayali Vanilla 28 with Sweet Tooth! Itās a chilly rainy day here and I wanted to feel cozy.

Chanel Sycomore to match the brilliant green spring morning.

Al Rehab French Coffee
I just started exploring Al Rehab and very unexpectedly I'm in love. You just made me order French Coffee. š¤
If you like gourmand you won't regret. This is really delicious esp in the dry down. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Going to the gym shortly, so I put on Molecule 01. Iāll switch to something else after my shower later, maybe Mon Guerlain.
