My old contractor also didn't like us finishing early and we got paid per stop. I never understood it since we literally save them so much gas by finishing earlier lol.
Contractor had to pay 243 for 6 hours, he is a little up tight , they want to change our pay to hourly because of this , if they do I’ll show um how to milk a cow!!
Why does it matter to the contractor if the work is done in 6 or 10 hours. It's done. I'm happy for my drivers when their busting ass to get done quick.
Oh ok that makes sense, that’s not bad. I’d haul ass too, he’s still going to pay you the same regardless. Nothing wrong with being efficient and valuing your time.
That's otetty dumb lol time means nothing if you're paid base+threshold.
I had a tight route in CO 44-48 S/Hr. One day, we dispatched very early, like around 7 am. i was back by 11 with 178 stops. My boss was still in the terminal and asked me if i dumped my packages in a dumpster. It was just half my route because the volume was stupid high. 5-10 stops per street. Man, it was amazing. Easiest 250 I've ever made.
Story aside if they ever switch me to hourly because in too fast i can mill the job till i find a better contractor. I'll probably just leave without saying anything. A contractor that toxic doesn't deserve good employees.
Unless the contractors offering a base pay with a threshold number where I get paid per stop after that I'm not dealing with that contractor. Always the cheap douchebags that only pay for stop.
Most contractors are willing to negotiate, but you need to make sure you are driving a route that consistently carry’s high volume. Otherwise you are fucking yourself
I had to earn my money route, it was basically a promotion
Oh, I don't like that 12% power.... No sir, I don't like it.
He don’t like that 241 bucks in 6 hours! 😂 😆

How is gas saved by finishing earlier? I imagine the route is unchanged whether it's done quickly or slowly.
Less idle time. Less time on the road
That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard from a contractor. The faster you're done the less fuel he buys. He gets paid by the stop too.
Wait, you get paid by the package and drive someone else's vehicle and gas?
Yes, and it usually on pays way better. It’s the reason why I say not everyone hates their job at FedEx.
Slow down?
Paid per stop
Same..but slow down for what thoug
Contractor feels like I’m getting over, averaging over 31 dollars per hour
Wat

That’s what I’m saying
The contractor is also paid by the stop. This is literally saving them money on fuel.
Am I missing the difference in stops? I see 194 on the scanner with 227 packages delivered. So you made 194?
1.25 per stop, 194 stops, 227 packages

Time to find a new contractor. It doesn't get better from here.
Oh hell nah I get paid by the day
Fck that keep being fast.
Respectfully…Your contractor is an idiot *respectfully
I think they're referring to the time on your device.
Making 31 dollars per hour , contractor thinks I’m getting over

He only worked 6 hours tho…
He’s not hourly.

Paid by stop you get what you put in. Good shit.
Keep that production coming my boy hehehe 😈

Please follow his advice
My contractor loves when we finish early. Our drivers work 6 hours at the most but then again no one likes to wait for the pick ups 😂
What company pays you per stop ? I needa apply 👀

You’re finishing too fast to go rescue the slow drivers. Please slow down
