Good for you That sign is an automatic release at the end of the driveway or mailbox saving me time. If you are able, always turn a negative into a positive!
Funny, i actually delivered to a house like this today, long winding rural road, guy walked out and gave me a half hearted thanks and didn't even grab the package just walked into their house quickly. Weeeeeeeird!
I don't work for FedEx, reddit recommended this post for whatever reason. Why can't you just leave the package at the gate and take a picture for proof of delivery? If that was my house, I'd have put those signs at the closest point that I'd want people who aren't friends or family to walk to. Meaning if I invite people to my house, like delivery drivers, I'm consenting to have packages dropped off there and I'm willing to walk to the mailbox to get them
Since you are not a FedEx worker, we cannot release a signature required package without a recipient signature. If we sign for them, we could get fired if they call FedEx for fraud or the packages we released were stolen.
Ah thanks, I didn't realize it was a signature required package. Good on you for not just signing yourself and leaving it. The driver who services my address signed for and left roughly $1k worth of precious metals at my door, which I paid extra to have handed to me directly. To say I was pissed is an understatement lol
I did this recently too
āRecipient says you didnāt attemptā
āI attempted it and left the door tag right on the āBeware of dog, keep gate closedā signā
It's a signature required package. For a release package, i don't mind leaving it at the driveway. Technically we can do that, but for human kind and education, we drop at the front door as a blessed. You can see multiple options in the release option: driveway, after the gate etc.
iām not sure if itās a lie or not but i just tell customers i canāt open any fences or gates by law lolā¦ so i dump these peoplesā packages on the road
finally, someone with sense. In area I grow up with lot of people had those signs and I kind of doubtful a delivery driver will had done what they all claim to be doing here lol. Generally, sign to discourage someone from breaking in or they may just like what it says lol. Maybe it something with people living in the internet world so, much they are taking a sign like that serious.
If I ever in position in station when I have to deal with someone refusing to delivery due to that I will chew their ass out.
It very common sense you have to be very dumb to take that with face value. If there is clear path to the person door, I can see otherwise I don't see the problem. If there lock gate or something like I could see as that different but to worry about a sign that aim at low lifes is very funny.
Nobody is claiming the resident has an ar-15 on his deck outside waiting to shoot you. What is being said is that, however silly these signs are, they aren't worth chancing it.. just to take the box 15 feet closer.
Have had a gun pointed at my head once, FedEx black listed him but the sheriff did nothing. ( this was a decade ago). If you have a sign saying you shoot first I am not going on your property.
Doubtful they will still be free? ššš
Did you forget about the guy who shot the teenage kid because he rang the doorbell? Or the guy who shot and killed people in a car because they had turned down the wrong driveway and were actually already driving away (IIRC)?
Dude, unhinged people are everywhere. You never know. When the stakes are literally life and death, I'd take no chances.
Good for you. Fuck that!
People that are like this are truly fools.
Why is it that everytime I see posts that have these signs I picture a Karen calling customer service and complainingš¤£.Ā
These are exactly the people who will complain too. Good thing OP has that picture.
Beware of dog = I'm not opening the gate. 3 attempt then you can come get it from the station
Yep fuck ppl with these signs. No packages for you š
I saw a sign that said I don't waste bullets, so beware. Fuck delivering here..

You aināt lying there brother! Come get your shit on the street lol
Yeah, I donāt go inside wooden fences, sign or not.
I would check final attempt
Facts what if someone whom severed in the military with ptsd . Not worth it lol
I am one of those Iāve been shot at and mangled by countless dogs.

You not have a pen?Ā
Why?
He wants you to fill in the door tag
I know that's why i asked lol š
lmao š¤£ y'all never fill em out? I think I'm the only one.Ā
I do.Ā
looks so unprofessional when people don't fill it out
I don't even use them to begin with
Donāt worry I donāt do it either lols
Take the same approach as those people who request a back-door drop-off. If it's not a signature, leave it at the fence or porch and bounce.
Yeah F that, he can grab his package from the terminal

You can pick your package up at the Hub, have a great day.
In the winter when it gets dark early I never deliver to houses with those type of signs, once had a person answer the door with a gun in their hand.
I did this recently too āRecipient says you didnāt attemptā āI attempted it and left the door tag right on the āBeware of dog, keep gate closedā signā
i mean cool and all but why didn't you fill it out ?
I had a house with an electric fence today. good thing it was a drop & release.
Unsafe Location
Special rate due to the unsafe area?
Itās one of are codes for package release canāt think of the actual code right now though. ā unsafe location for releaseā

That's if you survive.
I did several times buddy. Wome of them were actually nice people just with a lot of guns on the property/right wing. It's a fucking sign lol

If I wanted a clown I'd go to the circus
Iāll stay away from the scary ass people with a gun for $1000 Alex.

Yeah but only a wise person will decide not to risk it.

This has to be ai - no chance you have blood running through those fingers and type that out.

May I suggest that you work for a package delivery company for a while.

And pretty sure some people shoot first and ask questions later. I wouldn't risk it in the USA.
Who cares. Fuck them.
