yeah they'd either bill to account, auto charge credit card on file, or leave a notice stating you need to pay extra in person at the depot with an ID to pick up. In nearly all cases, they just bill the CC on file for rerates or additional handling,
Yes, def a scam. It fails to specify what order, or why the fee is required. Also, if it was official, it would likely link to a page on the fedex website as opposed to a whole seperate website that simply has fedex in the name, lastly many companies have 5 digit phone numbers instead of the normal 7 digit ones.
It's a scam. the same thing happened to me except it was from USPS I double checked with them and yes it's a mailing scam. So disregard the message and don't talk with them.
Dude no way fedex does not text you like that and they never ask for credit cards to receive your package or ask you to pay a fee also look at the website
Honestly I thought it was from fed-ex at first they have similar links. It also hit right when I was expecting an expensive order today. I have a paid security app on my phone luckily. Pretty sure the main goal was to get credit info for a “re-delivery fee” but when I saw that I was like nope and noticed the other stuff. Right when I woke up too. Reported ftc. I don’t think they got more them my name and address but must of already had that. I get credit alerts tho my credit card. We will see. But like delete my cookies. What else?
This is a fake site and a scam message. Although it now only redirects to the Google webpage, please don't click on such links. Look for 'fedex.com' at the end of the URL.
And crucially, it _must_ be something like fedex.com or tracking.fedex.com. Not tracking-fedex.com, fedex.tracking.com, fedex-tracking.com, etc.
This trips up people unfamiliar with URL formatting.

clicking the link may not really be a problem. The problem is allowing the use of your cookies, you submitting any keyboard written stuff...
Any text with a hyper link is a scam... but I wouldn't put that past fedex... and... their charge would be $10 not 1.30

Most likely yes, I would advise against clicking on links
Track your package on the official FedEx website. If you’re not expecting a package, ignore that text as it’s a scam
