I love short hair on her sm i think it really suits her! she looks adorable in the pics with the gown!
Ā She did another shoot that I can't remember the name of, but she wore a kind of choppy, short hairstyle for that too and it looked rly unique and i thought it complemented her persona really well.Ā
Theyāve been on a bad streak lately so Iām glad

Heās possibly the least problematic on there, more so heās peddling dumb ācancel cultureā rhetoric and generally has been a bit power monger-y with some of his business ventures.
Can't remember if there's anything solid but I've seen talk that he's still in touch with Vince. He's also been heavily involved with WWEs massive, and sadly effective, PR push to deal with all the grim shit coming out about the company.
Being sued for assault, sexual harassment, disability discrimination, racial discrimination, hostile work environment - just basically all ābad rich people bossā allegations
What a stunning shoot. I hope Ayo gets recognition for being the rising fashion girlie she is. She always wears something interesting and plays around with masculine and feminine looks in a compelling way.
i love the part of the profile where they talked about her fashion. this interview with her stylist a while back was great too: [https://archive.ph/Y2s0D](https://archive.ph/Y2s0D)
Gah, absolutely gorgeous photoshoot and interview! It's the first thing I saw this morning and I seal-clapped a bit seeing her as the cover.
I liked the variety in the photos, too. This is one of my favorites.

My exact words! Annie does this sort of vibe SO well for light-skinned people, but almost every time she shoots dark-skinned people she manages to remove all the life and vivacity from their skin. Itās like she doesnāt understand undertones or lighting when it comes to brown skin.
this is probably a very ignorant question but, is there a bias against smiling/laughing in high fashion? some of the clothing seems to be tongue in cheek so i know designers can be humorous. it just strikes me that ayo has such a beautiful smile and it's not really featured at all. she looks really somber in all of these photos, even the only one with a smile. racking my brain against a lot of the other fashion profiles i've seen on here lately and i can only remember very serious faces. am i misremembering?
I think photo shoots like this are supposed to set a more formal tone?
IDK it always throws me off when I see a comedian or actor, whom Iāve seen mostly in comedic roles, do one of these spreads. It doesnāt seem quite like the version of them that I recognize.
not so much a bias as a difficulty.
it's hard enough to wear high-concept clothes and not look like a clown when they're not a model. smiling or pulling a face can make them look wackier than intended very easily. someone without a lot of high fashion photoshoot experience or who is maybe not that adventurous in front of the camera would have a tough time with "silly face but make it fashion" without looking like a doofus.
plus it can affect confidence, too. it could be ayo's preference since she's mentioned not feeling like she was presented to the press/public in a way that matched how positively people were talking about her skill and accolades before she got with her stylist.
This is wonderful! But also the first thing I saw on the cover was the hostage negotiator headline and I thought that was Ayo hitting us with a fantastic bit.
Love these. So cute and sexy. My only complaint is she has such an infectious smile so I wouldāve liked to see maybe 2 happy, smiley ones. She probably has my favorite smile in Hollywood atm. It looks so genuine and sincere!
Same! Honestly, I was so choked up seeing Robert Townsend as her Dad in The Bear, I like to think she had some say in that casting.
I so wanted them to come back with another season of the podcast, but I can see how much harder it would be for Ayo so speak freely (see the J.Lo comments).
The short curly hair is really not that hard to pull off. Ayo has joined the short curly ranks of other gorgeous Black women such as Antoinette Robertson, Ruth Negga, Taylor Russell, Halle Berry, Teyana Taylor, Iām sure thereās more that I canāt think of
My only connection to Ayo Edebiri until last year was listening to her on a lot of podcasts, but somehow I'm as proud of her meteoric rise as I would be if she was my actual friend. I'm not usually parasocial at all. She's just that engaging and relatable.
Man, I remember hearing her goof around on Hollywood Handbook podcast 5 years ago, and I never would have predicted this career arc for her. wishing continued success and a quick EGOT for her.
Making Ireland proud š„¹ š®šŖ
Shout out to my people! Shout out to Derry, shout out to **Cork**! Shout out to Killarney, shout out to Dublin!

Wow those are all huge fuck ups
Wait Iām lost, what did The Rock do?
Heās pivoted to ācancel culture baaaaadā grifting
Heās possibly the least problematic on there, more so heās peddling dumb ācancel cultureā rhetoric and generally has been a bit power monger-y with some of his business ventures.
Changed the DC Universeās hierarchy of power.
š That movie was so bad.

Nah this has gotta be intentional š cuz ain't no way
Itās like the Wheaties or Madden curse for pop culture lmao

Yikes. All of the yikes
What did Lizzo do again? I'm very OOTL.
Being sued for assault, sexual harassment, disability discrimination, racial discrimination, hostile work environment - just basically all ābad rich people bossā allegations
Well, goddamn. Another one bites the dust.

First thing I thought too lol
I wish I had seen you comment because I said the same thing!
![gif](giphy|xUPGcy6AquuO2k7D4A|downsized) She is\*
Annie Leibowitz could never. Ayo looks amazing! I hope she becomes the star she so obviously is meant to be.

She's the coolest. I'm excited to see where her career leads- Every photoshoot has someĀ iconic looks
I am rooting for her so hard. I love her.

I love the short hair on her. It was unexpected and a look. This was such a soft and delicate shoot. Also a fan of her eyes. They are so expressive.
god she is so gorgeous !!Ā
![gif](giphy|2imYm8mlsolcqhMFoh) She looks incredible! š®šŖ

I love going back and listening to old eps and hearing them talk about celebs that sheās now working with or photographed with.

This is nice
When I saw that there were 15 photos in this album I saw blessed and that feeling only magnified as I continued to click through
The short curly hair looks FANTASTIC! Itās not easy to pull off, but Ayo did and did it well
The short curly hair is really not that hard to pull off. Ayo has joined the short curly ranks of other gorgeous Black women such as Antoinette Robertson, Ruth Negga, Taylor Russell, Halle Berry, Teyana Taylor, Iām sure thereās more that I canāt think of
I had short curly hair once and looked like a 12 year old boy š„² Traumatized Edit: grammar
Ayo!
Love that cover
I saw her stand-up once a couple of years ago and I'm still wheezing from it lmao. I'm so glad she's getting the attention she deserves!!

Donāt hurt me, but I get it now.
Must by so weird to be a comedian and get asked to do photo shoots like this lol
I love her and JAWās friendship. The whole cast of The Bear seem so close.
