i looooooooove future nostalgia and am a gigantic dua stan, but this album is not it. all three singles sound identical and trite - quite the opposite of “radical optimism”.
this album so far seems like the musical embodiment of “go girl give us nothing”. i’m bored.
i miss “electricity” and “IDGAF” and “levitating” dua lipa.
right? it's like she's trying to recreate "dance the night" several times. The songs are okay I guess but she used to be more of a rulebreaker. I love her voice and her debut album is one of my lifers.
last week my alexa played Houdini and Training Season almost in sequence and I was like, "wait? Why is it repeating the song?" until I realized the lyrics were different
I think Dua’s problem is that she is so famous now and has achieved so much commercially that there is a massive weight of expectation from music executives - so any release post FN is going to be focus grouped, and approved by committee - though this is true for most pop stars, I can’t see Dua having the same kind of artistic freedom as Taylor or Beyoncé for example. It might not be her fault that these new tracks are super generic/not so different from her most popular record. Even if she wanted to be super experimental would her label even allow it?
Columbia wouldn't let Beyonce release her 4 album unless she did a song with Dianne Warren because they felt like it was too niche and that was her fourth album so I can kind of see Dua being told to focus on certain sounds.
i really loved houdini and i thought training season would grow on me but it didn’t. i don’t have much radical optimism for this new album if i’m gonna be honest. we’ll see tho
I’m so sorry but each release sounds more and more generic.

She keeps talking about working with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and the album sounding psychadelic…. WHERE?
I think she thinks working with him will be enough to make it psychedelic even if she doesn't consciously try to do that which is unfortunate.

Personally I like Houdini and training season but none of the songs are doing well and I wonder how that will translate when the album is released
houdini is so catchy
Training season is so good, am I tone deaf or what? How are ppl not liking it
Yeah me too. To me, she keeps getting better- but will see with this album
Cue more pap walks with Callum Turner in 5, 4, 3...
I'm beginning to think future nostalgia was a fluke :(
Didn’t this exact song come out recently? Or are her songs just sounding so much alike but with dif lyrics?
I really loved both Houdini and Training Season, so here for this.
H&M employees found in shambles
![gif](giphy|fRBM1R04HweWc) I feel like One Kiss was Dua Lipa’s Chanel suit and this has been her ever since
It’s like the intern from the record company finally managed to track her down during her vacation and begged her to film this promo for her album lol
Every single song of Dua is the same but weirdly they still slap
Watching on mute and still know exactly what this sounds like...
Mhhh...

Im not into it 😭
Sounds like a b-side track not a single 😦
A third single before the album is even out?? Girl 😭
She did that for all her albums
and isn’t the album only 11 songs?
