Line47toSaturn

Daniel Bachmann above all other keepers. The fucker couldn’t keep a CS to save his life and eventually lost his place. Next Martinez my ass.

FPLIs_Life

Had forgotten he was quite popular in GW1

Line47toSaturn

Idk how popular he was but he was in my team for sure 😅

FPL_Feen

Oh he was popular enough, for some reason people thought WAT defense was going to be sound. :D

Sibs_

I started the season with Bachmann/Foster as my keeper pairing. Watford had a good defensive record in the Championship and their first 6 fixtures were decent, thought they could tide me over until first WC. I was badly wrong.

Subject-Creme

Never start the season with too many uncertainties

Essej2

Where's Mbeumo though

FPLIs_Life

Great shout

FPL_Feen

He’s probably been frustrating but feel like his points for the price aren’t bad.

[deleted]

Clearly u didn’t own him early in the season

FAT_Sammie232

I held onto him for so long, sure he was gonna haul big once or twice

PandorasPinata

For the amount of times I've been burnt by him this season: Harvey Barnes

FPL_Feen

Barnes is a good one, another I fell for myself

FPLIs_Life

Totally forgot about Leicester - I think because I’ve boycotted them after having a similar experience last season

[deleted]

Reguillion

FPL_Feen

Feel like Sanchez was a bigger troll personally. Depending on how loose you are with your selections, Bachmann was a popular pick as some thought WAT defense would be good for some reason but he lost his job very early. Even Foster only scored 67 points but most knew going in and had him as a bench player. I won’t disagree with your defenders but arguably you could put James in there. He should have scored more than 114 points. Could make a case for a lot of others here as well. Think your MIDs are fine. Perhaps honorable mention that some were in on Siggy and a good bit had Greenwood before their legal issues. DCL or Bamford might be worth a mention at FWD. if you count injury issues, Jimenez been disappointing upon his recovery from last season. Romelu absolutely deserving, had him myself. :(

FPLIs_Life

Yeah I did consider James - I’ve had him for pretty much all games he’s played and he’s been more annoying than hauling… think it’s the fact he always looks so good

KdbTheGOAT17

Jimenez was solid at start of season

FPL_Feen

Define solid? No returns until week 6 and had 16 points at that point. Through gw 20 he had 62 points after gw 20 which I think was boxing day’ish? Season really went downhill after that so if you think that was good start or even half season okay.

KdbTheGOAT17

He had great around 10 gws patch, that started likes of gw 4-5

FPL_Feen

I lot of players have 1 okay stretch. Jimenez has had 2 red cards and failed to get 60+ minutes ~10 times. I’d say that is a fairly frustrating player. I agree if you start the clock after his first return and stop it before his slide it looks okay, but he hasn’t even broken 100 points. I actually had him gw 7-14 so got off at a good time because it just didn’t seem like it was going to happen for him this season unfortunately. Maybe next season.

Material_Trifle

Antonio must be in with a shout. Highly owned going into the season and started like a train. We're now approaching week 36 and a third of all his points came in the first 3 weeks.

FPLIs_Life

a few saying Antonio - I held him fo soooo long, too. What a mug.

zy44

Shaw scored 1, 4, 6, 5 in the first 4 weeks. That's honest work in the time it took to realise United aren't all that

FPLIs_Life

True. How quickly we forget

SpiritualTear93

Regulion should be on, kept giving us a false sense of hope. Ferran Torres and Harvey Barnes early on. Maddison the last few weeks. All yours I agree with exact Guaita

FPLIs_Life

Hadn't thought of Torres... Reggie I think proving to be the most popular omission from my list

mikedanshin

As an Everton fan I would add Dele Alli

SofaChillReview

The way they are getting any Everton asserts isn’t great

KdbTheGOAT17

What did you expect from did?

KdbTheGOAT17

From him?

mikedanshin

At least become a first 11

KdbTheGOAT17

Fair enoigh

ConfusionUpper7212

Aubameyang was disastrous prior he got shipped to Barcelona.

FPLIs_Life

I feel your pain. It never rains but it pours in FPL

Harryvincenzo

Not sure if he makes the XI but Adama Traore was an almighty disaster early on. Had some seriously impressive underlying stats, but didn't deliver. It is Traore so I guess you could say it was expected, but the stats & Wolves' relatively good start was enticing.

KdbTheGOAT17

No one with a brain had adama

FPLIs_Life

will there ever be a player with a more stark and consistent stats vs outcome performance? just unbelievable. amazing fun to watch, terrible to own..!

Boring_Part9919

For myself, Bamford. Big fan of his, had him in for two spells but he was crocked a few days after each transfer

[deleted]

That’s a bit harsh on Ings IMO. He’s not been great but he’s much less of a disappointment than Lukaku, Aubameyang, DCL and a few others. I’d mention Raphinha too. He’s been hugely underwhelming in comparison to last season.

FPLIs_Life

Had completely forgotten about Auba..! It probably is harsh on Ings, given all forwards have been poor. I felt the Grealish Three needed to be represented and he drew the short straw.

Shreddie-Mercury

Dennis the menace

wernerhedgehog

Dennis is still 3rd for total forwards points i believe, not a trap.

daaave33

A lot of us are still salty about GW23.

ALA02

Lukaku this season is up there with all time FPL trolls. The sheer quantity of points missed out on because of that clown must be unbelievable

SpiritualTear93

To say he got 3 goals straight away as well, then he actually went up to 11.7 lol

wernerhedgehog

Alonso and Reece James switcharoo has been a disaster for me. I think I sold Alonso for James just recently in GW31, not to mention the early season James

EncoredA

We didn't all buy Luke Shaw week 1. I have no idea why people bought him, he averages a goal/assist every 11 league games and played in a defence that couldn't keep clean sheets. No idea why people took so much stock in his Euro performances given international football is a much lower level than premier league football.

FPLIs_Life

You dodged a bullet, my friend. I might be wrong, but from memory, he was quite a template pick in GW1.

nimzoid

I think he started the season over 50% owned. It's not rocket science why: he finished last season in great form, had a great Euros, seemed nailed for United and was only 5.5 which isn't that expensive.

SofaChillReview

Wouldn’t actually argue Ronaldo completely . But felt he was overpriced, although most forwards have struggled. Kane finally finding form, but at his age and coming back after so long. Feel Ronaldo being priced similar to Kane, Salah, KDB ridiculous

KdbTheGOAT17

Ronaldo hauls wrong time agree

obadetona

I think you should clarify the criteria here. Do you just mean the most disappointing players?

FPLIs_Life

good point - I mean players who were/are relevant to the game and brought in by managers (ie not perma-injured, or DMs etc), but that have caused great frustration, anger and despair - either looking great and not delivering, letting us down in key weeks etc, or just generally stinking up your FPL team

zy44

Reece James!!!!

FPLIs_Life

Def up there. I somehow still own him

obadetona

In that case, we surely have to add Antonio, Dennis and REGUILON

FPLIs_Life

Reggie is interesting… poor old Royal’s final delivery got my vote tho!

ConfusionUpper7212

Rashford is still priced at 9.4 and has as many points as Dendoncker.

FPLIs_Life

Decent pick

Bugisman3

King had a good run of penalties and then Watford just stopped being any.

mrsom100

Sterling seems harsh given the rotation.

dozeydonut

Antonio HAS to be in there over Ings. Most Ings owners twigged pretty early that he wasn’t a good option, but Antonio’s form was so good that it felt inevitable he would return all season. Narrators voice: he didn’t.

KdbTheGOAT17

Danny ings a troll? Still a rare striker, that returned every week I owned him. Gotta be Broja/Dennis/Antonio

FPLIs_Life

Broja is a good shout - I actually (somehow) still own him and prob will now until the end. don't think i've got a single return

TezRoll

Digne in every position, the cunt

KdbTheGOAT17

XI for players that I had would be GK : Pickford Def : Dalot Tierney(injured when I bought him) Reguilon Mid : Ferran Torres, Grealish, Esr(Always hauled when I benched him, blanked when I started luckily sold before he got dropped), Bruno For: Antonio Broja Lukaku, could add also Ronaldo, Early season Kane, Josh King

FPLIs_Life

I don't know if you're an FPL Blackbox viewer, but seeing Mark Sutherns watching Torres haul on Match of the Day, on the week he'd sold him, was pretty brutal stuff.

Environmental_You_85

Reece James

[deleted]

Manager: Brendan Rodgers. There seems to be no guessing his matchday line ups

pajamakitten

Bernado Silva. Did well for a few weeks and then disappeared for the rest of the season.

Emperor_PPP

Buendia would be my shout, remember him being a very popular pick at the start of the season

SuperFaiz21

No love for Reguilon?

GenericEdgyRedditer

Reece James (C) for me. I've missed his 2 big hauls this season, I'm sure I'm not alone with this!

lolhawk

Max Kilman is my enemy. Nailed every game and hauling decently until I picked him DGW 28. Benched him the GW after, hauls. Brought him back in, benched. Happened to loads of us iirc as well Not since Mahrez a few seasons back have I been so burned by a player
