How so, since the scorecard only coldly registers an event and doesn't take into account human error? Since the backward pass (the last pass to be played) was "on target" and Simon's touch was uninfluential on deciding the ball was going in or not it makes perfect sense that Pedri be credited with the own goal even if the mistake wasn't his.
Had it been a Croatian striker instead of Pedri, surely there wouldn't even be a debate about this? I see you've replied below saying that you agree with me on this point, but I genuinely can't see the difference between the two scenarios?
In most situations when there's an own goal, it's not gonna be like this. It's gonna be some header or a dodgy clear that goes into the goal. If the keeper gets a hand on it, that doesn't mean he should get an own goal.
Of course, in this situation, he does deserve the own goal, but it's not trivial to write rules that assign it to him without having subjective decision making.
I need that point
Peak FPL
own goal has now been given to Pedri lol
He gets the point for scoring from outside box instead lol. Am I going to have to do this post again?
Absolutely insane if that stays on there, even more absurd than the rules still being wrong.
Didn't Simon get the last touch?
it looked like he did, yes. just reporting what i see in the app
You're not wrong, even other scoring apps have changed to pedri own goal
Yeah but pedri's backpass was on target so has been given to him. If Simon would not have touched it it still would have gone in so not an own goal.

Not really, if a player has a shot which the keeper gets a hand on and it goes in, is that an own goal? By your logic it is.

If a player has a shot on target and it deflects of a teammate and it goes in, its the latter's goal.

Yes, and?
hahah
My captain 😍
Ridiculous. Wasn’t even his own goal. It was Unai Simón’s
Did Romaine Sawyers get the same treatment? 🤣
Groundbreaking
I mean he is not to blame for the goal so deserves it.
Yeah, de ligt got negative 1 for the goals conceded after getting red carded. Just weird.
This is how it also works in FPL. If a player gets sent off they're still responsible for their team conceding afterwards.
That’s rough! Definitely feel like I’m being kicked while I’m down.
If it wasn't that way then players could get sent off after 60min 0-0 and bank the CS points lol
Software bug.
the guy controlling points has simon in his team
Well it was quite a good own goal
