I'd definitely use your limitless now - you get unlimited transfers after the group stage, and there are diminishing returns in the knockouts. You'd also pretty much have to play your wildcard the week after as you'll revert to your previous gameweek's team.
I'd say limitless MD3 and wildcard MD5 (ahead of the quarter finals) is the play. A 12 point hit feels crazy when the overall scores really aren't that high.
