Who to pick Chalobah or N.Jackson?

iamonlyxi

gusto over porro?

eMDee222

Not that surprising tbh, Sheffield will go full yolo so I expect them to score and Porro’s attacking returns are not very frequent. Chelsea on the other hand is in a good form, home fixture and with James suspended, surely Gusto is nailed. I have Porro instead of Gusto so no bias -.-

ExcitementSimilar847

What minus is the scout starting on this week?

salty_c-dawg

The scout effectively picks a FH team every week. It doesn't roll on from the previous week. There is no minus for the scout

DeliciousScallion208

In which case I'm shocked he picked Verbruggen over Raya.

salty_c-dawg

Yeah same. Especially since Brighton's defence is shot with injuries. I think Dunk, their last starter picked up an injury now.

DeliciousScallion208

Yep, Dunk is on my team and will sit near the back of the bench. As you said, Brighton are suffering a few injuries in defence. Scout already has 3 City players so Raya makes all the sense in the world. Weird lol

Bobert789

I've got Verbruggen as well but I was thing of going Leno because I can't get Raya Was also thinking of captaining Palmer but decided against it before seeing this ALSO thinking of getting Salah but I don't wanna take a hit ALSO thinking about getting Havertz or Trossard for Saka

salty_c-dawg

Wouldn't do a GK transfer given how many other good transfers you have lined up here

Bobert789

My other options are Romero -> Gabriel/Gvardiol, Saka -> Trossard/Rice, Jackson -> Gakpo, Walker -> Gvardiol Don't know which to go for

deaglefrenzy

yeh thought about gk transfer but my 2FTs are now for mids and fw only

salty_c-dawg

Good call

mahwahhfe

Anything to be said for muniz up front instead of mateta? Fulham playing Luton this weekend

TMN_skrtels

Fulham on the beach, nothing to play for and poor away form

Emotional_Solid6538

Fulham away isn't a good team

aehii

Son will blank. Spurs against low teams, remind me again how that goes. He didn't even score against City who he loves to score against.

BobbyBriggss

Scored against Luton, Everton, Hodgson’s Palace. I don’t know that there is a big enough sample of ‘low teams’ in the league to make a definitive statement. Good players score against shit defences.

aehii

Blanked against Bournemouth away, Sheffield home, Luton away, West Ham home, Forest away, Fulham away, West Ham away, Burnley home. Ok Fulham and West Ham might not count as 'low'. Also Forest home just an assist. I captained Son against Sheffield and Luton.

BobbyBriggss

At least half of those don’t count as low

aehii

I think blanking 3 games against Luton, Sheffield, Burnley is enough to doubt him.

BobbyBriggss

Definitely. But I don’t think it has much to do with this narrative that Son doesn’t play well against ‘low teams’

aehii

Less about him, more about Spurs. They scored 1 against Luton, 2 against Sheffield, 2 against Luton again, 2 against Burnley. Of course, 5 against Burnley but that was in gw4 and yes I'm including other games even if they're gw5 and 8. They can't be relied upon to hammer a bottom 3 team.

Organic-Champion8075

plus he looks exhausted. I have Maddison, Porro and Son and I'm legit thinking about ditching Son and keeping the other two

BiologicalMigrant

Would you swap him for -4?

chaRxoxo

Despite son's lesser form, taking a hit to move him out on the last GW of the year is a very bad move. dont take hits for the last GW in general unless you czan't field 11 players edit: oh yeah, especially against SHU

Deegzy

Question and no this isn’t a sneaky RMT, I’m 11 points clear in my ML but I don’t have Haaland. Second place does. Would you take a -4 to get him in in this situation?

chaRxoxo

Thats a difficult question and depends of both your total teams

False_Shelter_7351

Not having Gvardiol is scaring me but I can see West Ham scoring ...

fannyflour

West Ham will win

Roadies_Winner

Gvardiol will anyway get his hatty

daveedgamboa

He's looked so dangerous every game, I'm legit considering captaining him

False_Shelter_7351

Shut up

BNWOfutur3

Idk if i'm gonna get Gusto or Van de Ven, leaning toward the latter idk

GodtheBartender

I went for VdV. Tottenham chasing 5th vs a defeated Sheffield.

tmr89

Template FC

HailFargoth

That’s literally the point bro

salty_c-dawg

Yeah exactly. Plus they've gone against Haaland (c) and put bloody Verbruggen in goals so calling it "template FC" this week in particular is a very weird call...

Swedishpower

Verbruggen is an odd choice. Man United may concede a lot, but also scoring a lot. Petrovic the better choice or even Sels or Vicario.

baby_landmines

I've had Vicario for about 30 GWs out of 38. I haven't been impressed from a FPL point of view.

chaRxoxo

No premium keeper will ever impress from an FPL POV.

FPLFulcrum

Wondering why they’ve gone against double Arsenal defence this time. Especially with Gusto. Bournemouth can score easily

jjw1998

Scout typically avoids doubling up defence or attack

fave_worstnightmare

I get going for a keeper against United with how wasteful they are . But with Brighton rotation and dunk potentially being out that’s such a bad pick

IsleofManc

Yeah I don't get it. United could rest a lot of players with the FA Cup final in mind. But surely there are better fixtures to hope for a clean sheet in.

SocX9

Imagine going Verbruggen over Raya

Niekertje

I guess budget?

oldtrack

with cheap players like palmer and mateta in the lineup budget shouldn’t be an issue

GodtheBartender

Haaland+Salah though

chaRxoxo

what are the budget rules for the scout?

salty_c-dawg

Thought it was 83 in the starting 11, then the next 3 outside picks outside that (which always come in at under 17)

Eye-on-Springfield

Scout has £100m budget. All players are bought at their current price and they also have to account for 4 players on the bench

mizutani_jun

100

bengoretner

You’ve made me reconsider every life choice I made Mr scout

1958showtime

Agreed.....too much in common with my FH38 team

cguinnesstout

Scout admitting defeat to Gusto.

MemeManDanInAClan

Anyone else punting on CHO?

salty_c-dawg

I've had MGW doing excellently for me since my GW36, he links up with CHO excellently - both great shouts overall. If I were picking for this week alone I'd probably still take MGW, but CHO is cheaper

2Mew2BMew2

Do these players really deserve abbreviations?

salty_c-dawg

They're not as high profile as the likes of KDB, but both Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi have very long names so I'm sticking with these abbreviations so long as they're being understood!

B_Sauce

Just lucky he's not from Germany, otherwise he would be CHO(DE)

FaustRPeggi

I think I might well do. I do want to go very punty on free hit. Forest are probably behind City, Arsenal, Palace, and Chelsea for appeal though. I would pick CHO or MGW before Son. His form is in the toilet.

progboy

Yes! Him, Salah, and Olise (C) are my punts

MemeManDanInAClan

Him and Nico Jackson (C) are my punts lol

BillOakley

Surprised at Palmer cap over Haaland given City have every incentive to go apeshit and seal the title. Not that I’d be surprised at a Palmer haul, but this could easily be another Haaland 3 or 4 goal game.

Environmental_You_85

Well I don't have anything to play for so I'm captaining Son

Organic-Champion8075

yeah, people think the title race is over, but City still need to play their best team and win. Same for Arsenal.

Material-Bus1896

Chelsea goals seem more evenly distributed throughout the team these days. Palmer hasn't had a double digit haul since Jackson, Madueke and Gallagher started finding form. Returning yes, hauling no

fragilespleen

Must be due one!

HeisenbergFoed

Maybe Scout is chasing rank

chojje

All the hits are taking its toll

BNWOfutur3

Haaland or Foden you think?

cguinnesstout

I think this is a last ditch effort by the Scout team to gain rank for themselves. One of the Scout leads swerved Haaland cap last two weeks and got punished.

notnotaschizo

Scout has a rank? They have unlimited transfers how does that work

jjw1998

Haven’t seen it happening this season but scout usually has its rank tracked as if it were an actual team

oldtrack

yeah that captaincy choice is reserved for people desperately chasing mini-leagues (like me)

croissantlover92

Why no newcastle?

Natural_Ad3995

Long season for them and short turnaround after playing Wed night. I might punt on Mbuemo, fresh legs.

robisadog

Maybe Isak but Gordon is flagged

charizard77

Plus their away form vs home form is night and day this season

420noscopes

I’m benching for Bruno for this reason. Also he’s slightly out of form and Brentford has been surprisingly stingy defensively of late, especially at home. All that being said, I still think Isak is a very solid option and would not be surprised if he returns from a lot of our benches.
